    Living a complaint-free life

Living a complaint-free life. I am sure that this podcast title arousing the thought, “ Is it even possible to live a complaint-free life amidst all that is going wrong around us?” The simple answer is YES. Complaining is defined as an expression of unhappiness, dissatisfaction or discontent. Our world is soaked with complainers and grumbles. People complain just about anything, from weather to food, weight, to traffic, people etc. Habitual “complainers” are toxic. Some may say, “Oh, come on. Can't Christians express their opinions? Yes, you can but make sure that your opinions don't override God's mandate - His Word. Complaining displeases the Lord. “Now when the people complained, it DISPLEASED the Lord, …” Numbers 11:1. I share on how Joseph dealt with the spirit of complaining. As you listen, I will share some biblical secrets to maintain a complaint-free life. Complaints has consequences! It is time to switch off the “complaint” button. It is time to become purposeful, deliberate, and determined to conquer complaining on a daily basis. You counteract complaining by being content in all circumstances. Two commodities are considered “great gain” in the scriptures… “godliness with contentment”.

Desperate need for DIFFERENCE-MAKERS! In this podcast, I lay a foundational statement that the first key to making a difference in the world, is to walk closely with the Lord. You have been put on the earth to make a contribution and are not merely here to consume resources, to eat, breathe and take up space. We are not just “ordinary” but are uniquely positioned by God to make a difference. We did not just get saved to go to heaven but to make a difference in the earth. I share of how Daniel unraveled the dreams of King Nebuchadnezzar and how difference-makers react in times of crisis. Daniel urged his three friends to cry out to God for mercy and God revealed the mystery to Daniel. When we choose to showcase the Lord, he showcases us. Daniel was promoted prior to the king falling prostrate before him and honoring he one true God. The Bible is filled with multiple difference-makers who were risk-takers. God can and will use you to make a difference in the earth, if you allow Him to. Be blessed ❤️

Releasing the power of prophecy. In this podcast sermon I define what prophecy means in the 21st century and why is it needful in the life of every believer. I do not venture into the “office” of the Prophet where he predicts judgement and warnings of impending danger. I do cover the following aspects :- should every believer prophecy?; prophecy encourages those who are going through tough times; prophecy edifies who feel feeble and weak; we can prophecy over ourselves and how a prophetic shout can flatten solid walls. I also share on how Ezekiel was commanded of the Lord to prophecy over dry dead bones as well as the four winds and how life came into them. Your words make your world! Be blessed. ❤️

Lord help us… we are losing our kids! In the part 4 from the lessons learnt from King Hezekiah, I share on how God instantaneously answered the prayer of a dying king and granted him 15 more years to live. When God gives you added years, make sure that you make those years count. Pride sets in and Hezekiah exposes himself to the enemy (Babylon). Isaiah steps onto the scene and makes a frightening and heart-wrenching prophecy to Hezekiah… “YOUR DESCENDANTS WILL BE TAKEN AWAY AND BECOME EUNUCHS in the palace of the king of Babylon”. Hezekiah's response to this prophecy is alarming in that he selfishly accepts the prophecy, as long as he will be safe in his lifetime. How sad! Even more sad when this is the attitude of many leaders today, when they say, “ Who cares about the next generation as long as it is good with me”. We are not only called to finish our own race but to ensure that we influence the “finish” of the next generation. WE ( the church are in trouble) we are losing ground… we are losing our young people.  We have got to become intentional and think generationally in order for us to save the next generation. Lord help us! ❤️

Worship of anything else, but Jesus, is Idolatry

Worship of anything else but Jesus, is IDOLATRY. In this podcast sermon (Part 3 on lessons learnt from King Hezekiah) The 1st and 2nd commandments are clear, “ You shall have no other god before me. You shall not make idols”. Jesus emphasised that he did not come to abolish the law but to fulfil it (Matthew 5:17-20). If we are worshipping ANYTHING else than the Lord, it is called idolatry. Idolatry is an extreme admiration, love, or reverence from something or someone. In Numbers 21:4-9 the Lord asked Moses to make a bronze serpent and place it on a pole and all those who were bitten and looked at the serpent were healed. The bronze serpent became a symbol of protection and good fortune. The bronze serpent was with the Israelites for 700 years. It was with them from the time of Moses, to Joshua, to David to Solomon and until the time of King Hezekiah. Even when the Israelites came into the promised land they began to worship the bronze serpent. We must never worship the tools and the people God chooses to use. Hezekiah broke  in pieces the brazen serpent that Moses made because the Israelites burned incense to it and he called it Nehushtan. It is so easy to get intoxicated with trinkets, trophies, titles, treasures, talents, buildings, money, fame and fortune, power, materialism etc that we substitute our worship of things instead of Him. Jesus put the spotlight on the matter when he stressed that the son of man must be lifted up and everyone who looks at the SON and not the SERPENT will be SAVED. ❤️

When the voice of the enemy drives you crazy! In this podcast, I continue as a part 2, on the life lessons from King Hezekiah. As a recap we note that Hezekiah did not follow in the ways of his father Ahaz and did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. God blessed him in every way possible and their was wealth in abundance. Their worship went for 7 days and was extended for another 7 days. WARNING ⚠️ When thing are flowing in abundance and God is doing great things, brace yourself for the unleashing of demonic forces and principalities. Sennacherib, king of Assyria rises up against Hezekiah. Hezekiah speaks the word of faith in the midst of the attack, yet the enemy does whatever he can to refute Hezekiah's word and goes as far as ridiculing God and Hezekiah. He brings in confusion and even puts it in writing to Hezekiah and threatens to wipe him out. I love what Hezekiah does. He takes those letters to the temple of the Lord and lays those letters and ridiculous words before the Lord and the Lord hears him and acts. That night 185 000 Assyrians died without Hezekiah doing anything. Sennacherib was also murdered and God silenced the voice of the enemy that tried to drive Hezekiah crazy. Our hope and sanity is in Christ alone! ❤️

You don't have to turn out as bad as your dad.In this podcast I share on life lessons from Hezekiah. Hezekiah's father ( AHAZ) was a wicked king who worshipped the Baals and also offered his children to the fire. He took the things of the temple and presented to the king of Assyria, cut the furnishings from the temple in pieces and shut the doors of the Lord's temple. When he died he was not buried in the tombs of the kings of Israel. Hezekiah grew up with no role model whatsoever, yet Hezekiah did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. In the 1st month of the 1st year, he opened the doors of the temple and repaired them. He removed all the “defilements” from the temple and corrected the wrongs of his father. It took 16 days for the priests to clean up the temple. Hezekiah restored the place, priest and principles of God. Only after this was done, could the people freely worship the true God. Hezekiah, did you what was right in the eyes of the Lord. There is hope for the next generation.  Be blessed ❤️

Open my eyes Lord In this podcast I share on the pressing reality that is affecting us at this crucial juncture…. SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS! Sometimes, knowing all the FACTS can FRACTURE ones FOCUS. The disciples had seen first had that Jesus was dead. They felt his cold body as they wrapped him and laid him in the tomb… when Jesus appears to them, “ then he opened their minds so they could understand the scriptures”. Luke 24:45. It is possible for our spiritual sight to grow dim and for spiritual blindness to set in, like Eli. The Laodicean church thought they were in good shape but Jesus rebuke them as being “blind” leave alone other wretched remarks. It is time to stir up passion, arouse emotion and feed on the word. WE BECOME WHATEVER WE LOOK AT. Oh that we will be illuminated and enlightened… Lord help us! Stay blessed

Time to cry out! In this podcast, I bring across to all listeners the seriousness of the hour. Our world has become more vocal as to what they disagree with and will stop at nothing to express themselves publicly. Scripture instructs us to cry out to the Lord in times of trouble. Blind Bartimaeus cried out in his time of crisis. Even though the crowd tried to censor and silence him, he cried out even more. We see that desperate outcry's to the Lord, get His attention and when the Lord calls us, we need to be specific and direct as to what we expect the Lord to do.  That's exactly what Bartimaeus did… he said, “Master, let me receive my sight”. Elijah cried out and God revived a dead child. Johoshaphat cried out and God delivered him from death. The disciples cried out to Jesus in a storm and Jesus calmed the sea… it is time to cry out to the Lord! Be blessed. ❤️

When the brook runs dry!In this podcast, I share from the 1 Kings 17:1-8. Elijah stands before King Ahab and prophetically declares that there will be no rain according to “his word”. Elijah had to HIDE himself at Cherith. The “hiding place” is a place when one comes to a standstill from active ministry. This time of hiding is not a waste of time but it is preparation time for greater things ahead. Cherith, is a place of cutting and piercing. God will take you to Cherith before he ever takes you to Carmel. God sustains Elijah and provides water and food for him. Yet after a while the brook dried up. God's word was seasonal and not permanent. We need a fresh word from the Lord continuously. We have to know that sometimes a word from the Lord may have an expiration date to it. The God who led Elijah TO Cherith is the same God who let him OUT of Cherith. “The Lord is my shepherd” and he is my shepherd even at Cherith. God does not normally lay out the long-term scenario. When Elijah spoke to Ahab, he had no idea what the next step would be. God made the next step clear as Elijah was faithful in what God had already given him to do. As you take a step of obedience, then God will show you what to do next. Be blessed ❤️

Your condition is reversible. In this podcast I share on the aspect of how many time we all have come the place where we believe that is situation in our lives have gone beyond the point of return. We tend to lose hope of it ever returning to its original state. The Bible character that I use in this podcast is Peter. His name was Simon, yet Jesus changed his name to Peter ( Petra) the rock. Peter was part of the inner circle, with James and John. He was bold and confident and was the first disciple to recognise Jesus as the “Messiah”. He confidently said that he would NEVER deny the Lord and will even die with him. Yet when the crunch time came, he denied Jesus 3 times and went out and wept bitterly. Due to his failure he distanced himself and then decided to go to his old profession, fishing. When they caught no fish Jesus came to them and when Peter heard that it was the Lord, he jumped into the water and swam to the shore. Peter's setback, allowed him to make a comeback. He allowed Jesus to reverse His horrible denial and Peter is anointed at Pentecost and 3000 people get saved. The rest is history. Your condition is reversible.❤️

Time to draw a line!In this podcast, I share on our world becoming darker as perilous times manifest itself. We all can agree that believers have become lazy, cold, lukewarm, indifferent, hostile, complacent, unfaithful and have become lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. The “Christian who compromises” is becoming more common in the 21st century. It is imperative that every believer becomes determined to draw a line. In the life of Lot, he chose to live so close to Sodom, that Sodom nagar to live within him. He hesitated to leave Sodom and had to be yanked by the hand and driven out by the angels (Gen. 19:15-16). His wife could not go forward without looking backward. The time has come for non-compromising components to be established within a believer. Call a spade a spade... call “sin” SIN. Use the Word, Holy Spirit and prayer to combat compromise. Be blessed ❤️

Yet they began to speak to each other and make a life-altering decision. There is a deadly dilemma and danger of living life “stuck”. The word, “stuck” means being unable to move. How many are stuck, because of the tragedies of life. They are caged by there situations, yet  they need to break forth in courage. These 4 lepers had a perspective shift. When we act in courage and go forward, the Lord will cause the enemy to evacuate. It is only when we break free from that  stuck-mentality that we can enjoy the provisions and blessings that God has in store for us. Irrespective of the condition or situation you are in, are you going to sit there and die or are you going to get up and move forward? Blessings ❤️

As we grow older change is more difficult yet it is imperative for our spiritual growth and maturity. When Elisha felt the mantle of Elijah, he make a choice to quit being a farmer and become a prophet. When he slaughtered his oxen and cooked the meat, it meant he was not going back to farming. Your tears can turn things around. In this podcast, on this special Mother’s Day, I share on the power of tears. Jesus notices and records each tear in a book and bottles them. In the story of the woman who brought an alabaster box of perfume and anointed Jesus with it, we see clearly that Jesus commended her highly for washing his feet with her tears and drying them with her hair. This woman did not have to request for a container of water or a towel. She gave of her substance and it came from the heart. Jesus himself shed tears when Lazarus had died. Tears must not be allowed to fester into deep seated depression. If it allowed it will make one bitter instead of better and will come with an evil spirit. This can be seen in the case of the woman who was bent over for 18 years with a spirit and Jesus delivered her. We have a consolation that our days of tears will end when Jesus wipes away all our tears, until then may our tears cause a turn-around for us all. ❤️

The word “stubborn” is defined as :- “having or showing dogged determination not to change ones attitude or position on something, especially in spite of good arguments or reason to do”. This kind of faith does not vacillate. We must have an “ I still believe” mentality. Ruth had this kind of faith and refused to leave Naomi. The consequences of disobedience is:- lies, self-honouring, blaming others and trying to talk oneself out of a bind. Saul was sincere but he did not truly repent. May this message impact you to know that God has solutions to every challenge of life... if we will hand it to Him. ❤️

Don’t ever disconnect from the vine

In this sermon I share of how important it is stay CONNECTED to the vine daily as a lifestyle. In John 15, Jesus makes it clear that when we are not “fruitful” He will apply the pruning shears to that are of our lives. The pruning process is a process whereby disease, rot or unwanted agents need to be cut away in order for more fruit to be produced. The benefit of staying connected it that we can ask whatever we wish from the father and he will grant it to us. Let’s is stay connected to Jesus!

In this message I share on how we tend to go through life by trying to solve life’s problems like a “math” problem. We have been wired to think that no what what the problem is, we have the power to find a solution. I share how Jesus blew the minds of the scholars of the law when things did not add up (in the human) assessment. Some of the stories I touch on is :- 1. Feeding 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish and have 12 baskets remaining.2. Forgive 70x7 3. Paying temple tax with a coin in the fishes mouth4. 1+1=1 ( the amazing union of marriage) Be blessed ❤️

In today’s message I share two stories in which Jesus demonstrated how he IGNORED the voices of those were bearers of bad news and also those who were determined to make a judgement of condemnation on someone, without leaving any room for grace. We see in the 1st story of Jarius and when his daughter had died that the “naysayers” mentioned that they not “bother” the master anymore. Jesus had to shut out that noise and only took 3 disciples and the parents into the room. In the 2nd story, the Religious leaders of the day caught a lady in the act of adultery and thought that they had a water-tight case. Jesus ignored them and wrote on the sand. He pardoned her and released her. What a Jesus we serve ❤️

Don’t allow unbelief to make you dumb!

In this sermon I share on what Zachariah and Elizabeth experienced when the angel Gabriel delivered the message that God had heard their prayers and will give them a son (in the same spirit of Elijah) and that they must name him John. Because Zachariah allowed unbelief to take root in his heart, he was struck dumb and could not speak. God sometimes has to shut our mouths in order for us not to speak words that would KILL our faith. Faith grows in the place of belief. It is only when we embrace God’s word that we can receive His full blessings in our lives. Enjoy and be blessed ❤️

In this message I share on how a believer needs to ensure that he does not give in to the SPIRIT of SANBALLAT and TOBIAH. This spirit gets angry when the work of God is in progress. It is a mocking spirit that has an agenda to STOP the work of the Lord from progressing. NOW is the time for the church to take its place and do what it is called to do and be what it is called to be. Don’t allow yourself to become entangled with what is less important... keep the focus on the work of the Lord. Be blessed ❤️

In this sermon, I share on the important of a believer being open to the Holy Spirit (in all areas of ones life) to fulfill the divine plan of God and thereby, make wise choices. The definition of the word “discern” means to examine, scrutinize and prove a thing. We cannot act in HASTE or we will deal with the consequences of our actions. I also share 6 principles that will help guide on how to become spiritually discerning amidst these trying times. Enjoy ❤️

In this message I share a word that the Lord gave me on the 5th October 2020. The story related to the man who sat at the pool of Bethesda and was attached to MAT. His condition kept him in quarantine and even though there were a great number of people around him, he remained alone. The mat mattered and Jesus did not ask him to discard or destroy his mat but asked him to pick it up as a TESTIMONY and walk. It is time to move from a mat of misery to a mat of miracles. Be blessed and make time to listen to His voice. ❤️

In this sermon I share on 3 biblical characters whose tough seasons in life allowed them to show a contrary reaction to the NORMAL. The Shunammite woman has lost her son, yet she declared ALL IS WELL! The slave girl did not withhold the solution to Naaman’s cure and the 3 Hebrew boys triumphed amidst the furnace that was head 7 times hotter. We don’t have to walk around based on the realities that we are experiencing... we can have a change of mindset and declare that ALL is well!

In today’s message I share on the God-dynamic called MERCY. We are living in society that is becoming more and more hateful, cruel, callous, revengeful and merciless. In the BE-ATTITUDES ( Matthew 5:2-11) Jesus states - Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. God does not compromise with sin and is a God is wrath to all who disobey yet He provided the MERCY seat to “cover” us of our sin. In Psalms 136 we see 26 times that His mercy endures forever. Lord help us to extend mercy like our Lord. ❤️

In this message is share how we need to ensure that our actions speak louder than our words. I give the listener a few biblical guidelines as to how you can deal with some of the challenges of life and how you can ensure that your belief and behave come into balance and equilibrium. We become what we believe and if we are willing to re-affirm our belief, speak the word of faith, apply the word and then live it... our relationship with Jesus will definitely be strong and balanced. Be blessed.

In this sermon I share on the aspect of us being “seed scatters” on a daily basis. Whatever seeds we sow we will reap, which is a biblical principle. The main focus of the message is that all good seeds that have been sown will yield a harvest to reap. Some areas that I do cover is:-1. Seeds of acts of kindness & generosity;2. Seeds of prayer & vows;3. Seeds of tears;4. Seeds of finances 5. Seeds of investment in our kids. May you be blessed and encouraged as I have been. ❤️

    How did he die?

In this sermon, I share on the most common reaction and response that we all have when someone suddenly dies, “ How did is die?” Or “what was the cause of death?”. As much as this question appeals to our curiosity, it is not as important to the Lord. What should be a more serious and compelling question. should be. •where did he go to?”. Did he go to heaven or hell? The sad and tragic reality is that every day we lose thousands to hell and yet we can DO something. We can tell them that Jesus loves them and died for their sins. It is time to stop waiting and doing nothing. Go tell them! Christ’s last command must become our first Concern! ❤️

In this message today, I set the background from 1Kings 17 and 18 as the highlights of Elijah’s journey and then show you the “low-light” where this amazing man of God, who had the power to shut up the heaven and also bring fire down... entered a state of depression, discouragement, despair and burnout. He moved from being hopeful to being hopeless. Is this possible for us who know God? The answer is yes. We all can miss the mark. Yet, Elijah was able to get out of that cave after hearing the voice of the Lord. He was able to fulfill his purpose in pouring his life into Elisha, Jehu and others. You can! Get up and Go!

In this sermon, I share around the story of Mary and Martha. Martha was focused on WORKS and Mary was focused on WORSHIP. So many times we behave just like Martha when we allow ourselves to be cumbered about “many things” that are least important to Jesus and we forget the “one thing” that is most important to Him, which is sitting at His feet and worshipping Him. Mary receives revelation but Martha receives nothing. Let our works flow out of worship first. Be blessed by this word, it blessed my heart. ❤️
