The Denver Broncos have been winning, consistently if not perfectly...however this week their little inconsistencies in play caught up to them against the Jacksonville Jaguars. As the Jags took advantage of every error and dips in play the Broncos presented to them. The last Formline pod of 2025…Huge thanks to everyone who listens to The Pinch Podcast. We've had a blast this year talking tactics, stats and performances — and we were delighted that this pod made the final shortlist for the Football Supporter's Association awards for ‘best podcast'. In this episode, it was great to talk about an incredibly positive period in a season that once looked dead and buried. Riley was recording from outdoors, so apologies if anyone notices a little crackle down the line. We'll be back at early in the new year, and fingers crossed we're talking about another incredible formline.Oh, and there will be one more Hang it in the Louvre pod next week. Watch out for that! The New York Giants just can't get out of their own way. In Mike Kafka's first game as interim head coach, Big Blue blew an early lead and fell 27–20 to the Packers at MetLife, dropping to 2–9 on the season and extending their losing streak to five games. On this episode of Locked Up Sports, Bob and Brett break down everything from Jameis Winston's up-and-down performance in relief of Jaxson Dart, to a defense that once again melted in the fourth quarter, to a run game that flashed with Tyrone Tracy Jr. but couldn't carry them all the way. Then we turn the page to Week 12 in Detroit, where the Giants are more than 10-point underdogs against Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown and a 6–4 Lions team looking to bounce back after a frustrating 16–9 loss in Philly. We'll hit the betting line, matchups, injury updates on Dart's concussion status, and what a realistic “path to an upset” looks like — if there even is one — as the Giants look to snap an 11-game road losing streak.

The Bears offense was great, especially in the second half, and the defense was so bad that Chauncey CJ Gardner-Johnson has become a big part of trying to make it work, but in the end of a crazy game that felt like a gut punch loss, the Bears made the last big play and won it by the very un-Bears like score of 47-42. Colston Loveland had a huge day and the game winning play, Kyle Monangai ran wild in his first chance to be the lead back, and for all of Adam Archuleta's bitching, Caleb Williams had a game unlike any NFL player, ever. Jen Psaki reacts to Donald Trump's demolition of the White House's East Wing to make room for his vanity project ballroom, and takes heart in the increasing, and increasingly creative, ways that Americans are pushing back against Trump's authoritarian overreach. Rep. Jamie Raskin explains the maneuver Donald Trump is trying to pull off by getting the lawyers he installed at the top of the DOJ to agree to have the Justice Department pay him $230 million, the laws Trump is trampling, as well as what Congress can do to stop him if Democrats regain control of the House in 2026.In what may be the most important story in the country right now, Democrats and democracy advocates are finding ways to counter Republican efforts to rig the 2026 midterm elections by gerrymandering states with Republican legislatures to take the voice away from Democratic voters and ensure Donald Trump's uninterrupted power by keeping the House in the hands of spineless sycophants. Jen Psaki explains. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

The Put it in the Books Show S8 E8: Chemistry, Clutch... and a Classic Mets Gut PunchThe Mets dropped one in true Mets fashion—a gut-wrenching, self-inflicted 6-5 extra innings loss to the Dodgers that felt like a throwback to the worst timeline. And what better way to unpack it than with Farace, Rodriguez, and Producer Joe (who actually showed up this week)? Keith is out tonight, likely reviewing footage of Lindor's glove work from April.Despite the meltdown, the Mets are still 39-24 and winners of 12 of their last 15. Pete, Soto, and Nimmo are heating up at the plate. The dugout's loose (flip-the-bottle, anyone?), chemistry is cooking, and even McNeil's playing CF without needing a GPS. Pete and Megill's handshake? No idea what it is, but it's working. Extend them both.Should Pete be the captain? Lindor? Nimmo? Or do we just rotate the title weekly like Producer Joe's attendance? The fellas also dig into the pitching—maybe the best staff in baseball—and whether the Mets need to make moves or just trust the next man up. They'll preview the series against the 12-50 Rockies (yes, that's not a typo), followed by a return home for matchups with the Nationals and Rays.Join us as we laugh through the pain and put it all in the books.
Seth and Sean discuss what the biggest gut punch was for Texans fans watching the 1st round of the draft and what Chris Trapasso of CBS has the Texans doing at 34 and beyond in the Mock Draft Injection.
