Morning Joe was apparently taken off the air on MSNBC because he wasn't willing to calm his rhetoric. We'll also talk about a video that had eight million views a few days ago. It says that the assassination attempt against President Trump was faked. It was staged, you know, by the campaign and the government.  Didn't Alex Jones have to write a check because he said something in regard to a school shooting? We'll discuss that as well as Nancy Pelosi stressing that Trump CANNOT be allowed to win the election. And, I'll introduce you to a whole number of state reps and politicians and office holders who are applauding the intended shooter of President Trump. What does God's Word say? Episode 1,724 Links:*THIS* is why Morning Joe was taken off the air today in the wake of Trump's assassination attemptThis video insinuating the Trump assassination attempt was staged has nearly 8 million views, 1.5 million likes, and tens of thousands of comments in agreement. Wasn't Alex Jones ordered to pay $1 billion in damages for saying the same thing about Sandy Hook?Meet Jess Branas. She is a councilwoman for Upper Darby Township in Delaware County, PA.Even worse, she works for State House democrat Heather Boyd (PA-163). After the assassination attempt against Trump, she posted on Facebook, “A for effort.”  Representative Heather Boyd, does your employee speak for you? Delaware County, are you okay w/ your councilwoman celebrating violence?  Pennsylvania House democrats, does Jess speak for you? Meet Kenneth Gucker, former CT State Rep (D). He's very upset that the sh**ter missed. He's running again to try to win the District 138 seat from a Republican in the CT House this November. Remember this Connecticut! This guy has all the marks of a classic patsy play. Mentally unstable, young, impressionable loner. Highschool classmates say he has an atrocious shot, got rejected from school gun club.Evidence that the way was laid for him to get onto that roof- ladder, lack of SS coverage, etc. A million questions about SS incompetence that sound an awful lot like sabotage from the inside.PSAKI: Anyone making this political and “attacking the other party…you are making it more likely there's retaliation."  Legacy media is now worried about this becoming “politicized,” after spending the last several years demonizing Trump and his supporters with incendiary political rhetoric and hyper-politicizing every issue from A to Z.“This is not a normal election. He [Trump] must be stopped. He [Trump] cannot be President.” - Nancy Pelosi a few days agoThis past week, @JoyAnnReid said we must keep “Hitler out of the White House” attacking former President Trump. On this version of Hot off the Wire (posted Jan. 6 at 4 p.m. CT): House leader Kevin McCarthy is getting closer to victory in the grueling, hard-fought struggle to become speaker of the new Congress. On the fourth day of voting, 15 of the 20 conservative holdouts switched to him on the 12th and 13th rounds of balloting. U.S. health officials have approved a new Alzheimer's drug that modestly slows the brain-robbing disease. America's employers added a solid 223,000 jobs in December, evidence that the economy remains healthy even as the Federal Reserve is rapidly raising interest rates to try to slow economic growth and the pace of hiring. Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin's agent says the player is breathing on his own and able to talk after having his breathing tube removed. It comes four days after he went into cardiac arrest and was resuscitated on the field. Hamlin also joined the team's morning meeting by videoconference. More than 1.3% of the adult population in the U.S. was displaced by natural disasters in the past year, with hurricanes responsible for more than half of the forced relocations. A flying electric vehicle from Aska called the A5, the size of an SUV that seats four, made its debut at CES in Las Vegas. It could become available in 2026. A new study calculates that two-thirds of the world's glaciers will disappear by the end of the century at current climate change trends. An explosive memoir reveals many facets of Prince Harry, from bereaved boy and troubled teen to wartime soldier and unhappy royal. From accounts of cocaine use and losing his virginity to raw family rifts, “Spare” exposes deeply personal details about Harry and the wider royal family. —The Associated PressSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

What a difference a day makes. Last Tuesday, Democratic state Rep. Quentin "Q" Phipps, who represents Middletown, and Barbara Fair of Stop Solitary CT taped an episode about the bill, SB1059, which stops the inhumane treatment of the solitary confinement of prisoners. The bill was passed by the CT House and Senate but Gov. Ned Lamont had yet to sign it into law, even though he publicly stated he would. On Wednesday, the governor blindsided supporters of the bill when he vetoed the measure and instead issued an executive order to reduce the time prisoners could be confined. Much of what Barbara and Q had to say remains relevant so we decided to run the episode with updated comments about the governor's veto from Barbara.

House minority leader Vincent Candelora says this legislative session has been a real “change of pace” for him and his Republican caucus. Usually quick to defend Connecticut towns’ “home rule,” he’s calling for the state to take a “more active role” in education policy. And, where he’d usually ask state government to “leave commerce alone and let capitalism work,” he’s now calling on more state involvement to “prop up capitalism” with additional programs to help businesses. This turnabout comes during Candelora’s first session in this role, having taken the place of his high-profile Republican predecessor, Themis Klarides. And, it comes at a time when he finds himself basically aligned with Connecticut’s Democratic Governor, Ned Lamont, on tax policy. Both are pushing back against progressive calls for more progressive taxation. We talked about his legislative priorities and how he feels the state is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.    See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
