A Middletown daycare worker was sentenced to 8 years for tossing a 2-year-old "like luggage." How much time will she actually serve? The state was shocked and excited when the Foo Fighters made a surprise announcement yesterday, that they are performing at Toad's Place tonight! News 8 sent Bob Wilson to talk to the folks in line, and they all had great answers for how they heard the news. Heather admitted to closing her shop early, driving across the state, and getting in line for Foo Fighters tickets. She then called in to share that she was one of the lucky ones to get tickets for tonight's show. North Haven's Mike Freda was on the phone with Chaz and AJ this morning, to talk about New Haven's plan to crush hundreds of illegal ATVs and dirtbikes. Mike says this has been a big problem in surrounding towns, and no one is going to put up with it any longer. He also introduced the whole show to new word! In typical AJ fashion, he half-remembered most of the movies and overly complicated the "little tidbits" for his list. Then, Jennifer was on the phone as AJ explained his next cancer treatment, why he'll be out of the studios for a few weeks, and even fonud a way to laugh about the terrible side-effects he'll most likely endure.

Minutes later, he was on his way in to NYC, to commandeer a city bus, and help organize whatever help or aid he could in the immediate hours after the attack took place. The bears were eating pears from the tree, when Evan (the dog) ran outside and surprised them. Josh had to fend off the angry mama bear with all he had; a set of jingle bells.
