Todd Charteris is the Chief Executive Officer of Rabobank New Zealand. Since taking the helm in 2018, he has led a team of more than 540 colleagues across 27 offices, with responsibility for the bank's lending to New Zealand's food and agri sector as well as its online retail savings business. A real Rabonist, Todd's story with the bank started more than 25 years ago in Te Puke, where he began as a rural officer. From there, he went on to hold a range of senior leadership roles across the group in both New Zealand and Australia. Before becoming CEO, he served as National Manager for Country Banking in Australia, overseeing Rabobank's specialist agricultural lending operations across the Tasman. Todd grew up on a sheep and beef farm in Otago and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago. Er beginnt mit persönlichen Zeugnissen über Gebetserhörungen. Doch auch nach 30 Jahren Nachfolge stellt er fest: “Ich weiß noch viel zu wenig über Gebet.” Das Gebet ist so wichtig, dass die Jünger Jesus als erstes baten, ihnen beizubringen wie man betet. Das ist heute nicht weniger wichtig! Kajin will sich und uns alle ermutigen, im Gebetsleben zu wachsen. Darum erläutert er: Was ist Gebet und was ist nicht? Gebet ist kein Monolog, sondern ein Dialog, eine Begegnung mit dem lebendigen Gott!  Wir können wie in jeder lebendigen Beziehung noch immer mehr lernen! Das Gebet hat viele Aspekte: Es ist wie atmen, es ist prophetisch, ist Leiterschaft, setzt das Übernatürliche frei. Und Gebet bringt Einheit! Martens: Gastfreundschaft lebenAuch wenn man zuhause Gastfreundschaft erlebt, übernimmt man diese Eigenschaft nicht automatisch für sich selbst.Gott begegnet uns als gastfreundlicher Gott:vom Garten Edenüber sein Volk: „Wenn ein Fremdling bei euch wohnt in eurem Lande, den sollt ihr nicht bedrücken. 34 Er soll bei euch wohnen wie ein Einheimischer unter euch, und du sollst ihn lieben wie dich selbst; denn ihr seid auch Fremdlinge gewesen in Ägyptenland. Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.“ 3.Mose 19,33f. LUTund dem Tempel als Bethaus für alle Völker: (Jesaja 56,7). »In der Schrift heißt es: ›Mein Haus soll ein Ort des Gebets für alle Völker sein‹, aber ihr habt eine Räuberhöhle daraus gemacht.« Mk 11,17, NLBbis zu den vorbereiteten Wohnungen (Joh 14,2) und einer großen Tischgemeinschaft in der Ewigkeit.In der Bibel offenbart sich uns ein unfassbar gastfreundlicher Gott – und er schickt seinen Sohn, Jesus Christus, in unsere Welt, um uns einzuladen und Anteil zu haben an seiner Familie.Und obwohl Jesus einen unfassbaren Mangel an Gastfreundschaft in dieser Welt erfährt, lässt er sich von seinem Anliegen nicht abbringen und sucht offene Häuser, um dort als Gast sein zu können und seine Nachricht weiterzugeben.Jesus war als Gast und Gategeber unterwegs. Gemeinschaft beim Essen, am Tisch mit den Menschen.In Gottes Familie (der Gemeinde) gehört Gastfreundschaft zur gelebten Familienkultur. : „ihre Zusammenkünfte waren von überschwänglicher Freude und aufrichtiger Herzlichkeit geprägt.“ Apg 2,46, NGÜ → und führt zum Wachstum der Gemeinde und einer Verbreitung vom Evangelium in der Wel.„Und an jenem Tag‹, spricht der HERR, der Allmächtige, ›werdet ihr euch gegenseitig unter euren Weinstock und euren Feigenbaum einladen.‹“ Sacharja 3,10. = Gottes Vision von seinem VolkWas kann das für uns bedeuten – und wie sind wir da unterwegs?Sind wir von Herzen großzügig und bereit, etwas zu geben und zu teilen?Sind wir bereit, Menschen einzuladen und unsere Türen zu öffnen?Habe ich im Blick, wie Gäste sich bei mir oder in meiner Kleingruppe fühlen würden?Lasst uns gute Gastgeber – und gute Gäste sein! Denn im Zusammenkommen haben wir Raum für Begegnung (miteinander und mit Jesus) und echte Beziehung.FragenBin ich bereit, neue Menschen kennenzulernen und ihnen mit ehrlichem Interesse an ihrem Leben zu begegnen?Bin ich bereit, mein zuhause Gott zur Verfügung zu stellen als offenen Raum für die Begegnung mit anderen?Wen kann ich in den nächsten 14 Tagen einladen?Oder wenn ich zu Gast bin: Was werde ich mitbringen?Lesung TexteLesung: Markus 2, 15-17 + Apostelgeschichte 2, 46-47Markus 2, 15-17 (HFA)15 Später war Jesus mit seinen Jüngern bei Levi zu Gast. Levi hatte auchviele Zolleinnehmer und andere Leute mit schlechtem Ruf zum Essen eingeladen. Viele von ihnen hatten sich Jesus angeschlossen.16 Als aber einige Schriftgelehrte, die zur Partei der Pharisäer gehörten, Jesus in dieser Gesellschaft essen sahen, fragten sie seine Jünger: »Wie kann sich Jesus bloß mit solchen Sündern und Betrügern abgeben?«17 Jesus hörte das und antwortete: »Die Gesunden brauchen keinen Arzt, sondern die Kranken. Ich bin gekommen, um Sünder in die Gemeinschaft mit Gott zu rufen, und nicht solche, die sich sowieso für gut genug halten.[3]«Apostelgeschichte 2, 46-47 (HFA)46 Tag für Tag kamen die Gläubigen einmütig im Tempel zusammen und feierten in den Häusern das Abendmahl. In großer Freude und mit aufrichtigem Herzen trafen sie sich zu den gemeinsamen Mahlzeiten.47 Sie lobten Gott und waren im ganzen Volk geachtet und anerkannt. Die Gemeinde wuchs mit jedem Tag, weil der Herr viele Menschen rettet.

Dieses Wesen hat Rechte.“ „Ich möchte für meinen Mut zum Glauben in Erinnerung bleiben. Das wäre das Wichtigste – das Wichtigste in meinem Leben ist mein Glaube.“ „Jesus hat mein Leben gerettet. Ich bin ein Sünder. Ich habe mein Leben Christus übergeben – die wichtigste Entscheidung meines Lebens.“ „Einer der Gründe, warum wir uns in einer Verfassungskrise befinden, ist, dass wir keine christliche Nation mehr haben, sondern eine christliche Regierungsform, und beides ist unvereinbar. Freiheit ist ohne eine christliche Bevölkerung nicht möglich.“Apg 17:2-3, 17, 22-232 Paulus aber ging nach seiner Gewohnheit zu ihnen hinein und redete an drei Sabbaten mit ihnen aufgrund der Schriften,3 indem er erläuterte und darlegte, dass der Christus leiden und aus den Toten auferstehen musste, und [sprach]: Dieser Jesus, den ich euch verkündige, ist der Christus! 17 Er hatte nun in der Synagoge Unterredungen mit den Juden und den Gottesfürchtigen, und auch täglich auf dem Marktplatz mit denen, die gerade dazukamen. 22 Da stellte sich Paulus in die Mitte des Areopags und sprach: Ihr Männer von Athen, ich sehe, dass ihr in allem sehr auf die Verehrung von Gottheiten bedacht seid!23 Denn als ich umherging und eure Heiligtümer besichtigte, fand ich auch einen Altar, auf dem geschrieben stand: »Dem unbekannten Gott«. Nun verkündige ich euch den, welchen ihr verehrt, ohne ihn zu kennen. 1 Petrus 2:13-17 13 Ordnet euch deshalb aller menschlichen Ordnung unter um des Herrn willen, es sei dem König als dem Oberhaupt14 oder den Statthaltern als seinen Gesandten zur Bestrafung der Übeltäter und zum Lob derer, die Gutes tun.15 Denn das ist der Wille Gottes, dass ihr durch Gutestun die Unwissenheit der unverständigen Menschen zum Schweigen bringt;16 als Freie, und nicht als solche, die die Freiheit als Deckmantel für die Bosheit benutzen, sondern als Knechte Gottes.17 Erweist jedermann Achtung, liebt die Bruderschaft, fürchtet Gott, ehrt den König!

Givetvis där ni finns just nu. Men se till att det också blir hela vägen till jordens yttersta gräns. Och det håller ni på med tills vi ses igen. På återseende!”Genom Apostlagärningarna berättas om hur just det börjar ske. Missionshistorien börjar där och då. I Uppenbarelseboken 7:9-10 kan vi läsa om framtidsbilden, om just det där återseendet, hur det ska bli en dag, när uppdraget är slutfört, när Jesus kommit tillbaka. Då finns alla folk och språk med inför Guds tron. Det är det som är Guds tanke och hans uppdrag till oss. Att alla ska fått chansen att höra. Vi läste ju inledningsvis vad Jesus sa alldeles vid sin himmelsfärd…Jesus sa att hans lärjungar, de som följer honom, ska berätta om honom. Och vi läste framtidsvisionen hur det ska se ut vid tidens slut. Alla folk och språk som lovsjunger vid Guds tron. Uppdraget är att nå till jordens yttersta gräns och det gäller tills tiden tar slut. Texten sa oss; fundera inte så mycket på när det är – det viktigaste är att han ska ge er kraft och att ni ska berätta om mig. Det börjar hos Gud, det ska ske genom hans kraft, vi ska bära berättelsen om honom till den som finns närmast, men vi behöver också lyfta blicken och se längre.Det finns ingen tvekan om att Guds målbild, Guds tanke och Jesus´ bud till oss handlar om att alla som lever på den här jorden, alla folk till jordens yttersta gräns ska få höra de goda nyheterna om honom. Vad innebär det för oss nu? Vi ska läsa från Joh 20:21 På kvällen samma dag, den första i veckan, satt lärjungarna bakom reglade dörrar av rädsla för judarna. Då kom Jesus och stod mitt ibland dem och sade till dem: »Frid åt er alla.« 20Sedan visade han dem sina händer och sin sida. Lärjungarna blev glada när de såg Herren. Jesus sade till dem igen: »Frid åt er alla. Som Fadern har sänt mig sänder jag er.«Allt börjar med en Gud som älskar, och därför sänder sin son till människorna. Jesus som blivit sänd till oss, sänder sedan oss till alla folk, till jordens yttersta gräns. Det gäller för oss nu. I den här tiden.Församlingens mission börjar där vi finns, där troende finns.Men vårt uppdrag och vårt ansvar sträcker sig också hela vägen, till jordens yttersta gräns. Där ingår vi alla, i det som är nära där vi är, men OCKSÅ i det som är långt borta, även om inte mer än några få faktiskt åker iväg. Vi behöver hålla lite olika tankar i huvudet samtidigt. Vi behöver tillsammans samtala om hur vi fortsätter att sända missionärer, hur görs det bäst i vår tid, hur ska vi använda våra insamlade pengar, hur fortsätter vår församling att vara en församling som ser internationell mission som självklart… Hur kan vi finnas med i det som vårt samfund satsar och utvecklar när det kommer till mission långt borta.Hur kan vi var och en vara en del i allt detta? Hur kan internationell mission få plats i våra liv? Först: om du faktiskt ibland funderar på din framtid och tankar på utlandstjänst dyker upp – prata med en pastor, eller kanske någon av dem som varit eller är missionärer i vår gemenskap. Ta noga hand om de tankarna.Och för oss alla - Vad är min del när det kommer till kyrkans uppdrag att nå till jordens yttersta gräns. Vad är nästa steg för mig? Kan jag vara med och be? Börja ge pengar? Ge mer pengar? Stödja en av församlingens utsänd...

"Jeg så at kvinnen var beruset av de helliges blod og av blodet av Jesu vitner. Da jeg så henne, undret jeg meg meget." (Åp. 17,6)Dette er fra Johannes' syn som han fikk se inn i Himmelen og inn i framtida. Og så kan vi lure på hvorfor undret Johannes seg så, når han så denne kvinnen her? Han så kvinnen i et anna syn, tidligere, som den utkårede med himmelsk prakt, som ved sin tro på Jesus, fødte Ham fram i verden. Det kan vi lese i kapittel 12 (1-5). Og slik kjente Johannes Kirken i fra sin samtid (2. Joh. 1,1). Men nå så han henne som ei hore; troløs, kledd i verdens glimmer og stas (v. 4). Var det mulig? Kunne Kirken falle så dypt? Historiens gang har bekreftet det, og vi ser stadig nye eksempler i vår tid.Kontrasten er stor til den himmelske brud, som vi kan lese om i kapittel 21, et bilde på de som holder seg trofast til Jesus og Hans lære (Apg. 2,42; 2. Kor. 11,2, Åp.12,17). Der er mye som går imot den sunne lære, men vi er kalt til å holde fast ved den, står det (1. Tim.1,10; 6,3; 2.Tim. 4,2-5; Tit. 2,1-15). Det vil føre til motstand, men løftet er klart: "Lammet skal seire over dem, for Han er herrenes Herre og kongenes Konge, og de som er med Ham, de er kalte, utvalgte og trofaste." (v. 14). La oss være trofaste og holde ut!Ja, la oss ta med oss de ordene i dag, slik at vi blir obs på forførelsene i vår tid, som vil dra oss vekk i fra Jesus, den Ene elskede, så vi kan holde fast på læren Hans og på Ham, den nære og gode relasjonen. Ellen Hemström predikar utifrån Apg 10.ARBETARE SÖKESUnder januari vill vi som församling rikta vår uppmärksamhet mot en bön som Jesus själv uppmanar oss att be – bönen om arbetare till skörden.I Matteus 9:37–38 läser vi:”Skörden är stor men arbetarna få. Be därför skördens herre att han sänder ut arbetare till sin skörd.” Jesus slår fast två saker: skörden är stor och arbetarna är få. Han motiverar inte varför skörden är stor – han bara konstaterar det. Gud har planterat frön av tro i människors hjärtan, han har vårdat, vattnat, gett näring och runtom oss finns därför mogen skörd – människor som är redo att ta emot Jesus i sina liv. Vad de här människorna behöver är någon som upptäcker dem, tar dem på allvar och leder dem de sista stegen fram till ett beslut. Jesus verkar antyda att det finns fler människor som söker och längtar efter honom än vad det finns människor som är villiga att hjälpa dessa människor vidare in i en relation med Jesus. Det finns ett förhållande mellan skördens storlek och arbetsgruppens storlek som inte stämmer. Ett förhållande mellan arbetsuppgifterna och arbetarna som inte står i proportion till varandra. Därför börjar vi året med att be den bön Jesus uppmanar oss be: Herre, sänd arbetare till din skörd.Det är inte i första hand en bön för någon annan, det är en bön för dig och mig. En bön om att vi ska förstå oss som sända till den skörd som redan är mogen. I en tid där vi äntligen ser hur sekulariseringens is smälter och hur fler får upp intresset för Jesus har vi all anledning att intensifiera vår förbön för varandra och för våra egna liv så att vi med frimodighet kan säga – här är jag, sänd mig.

In today's episode, the discussion features Guillermo Garcia-Manero, MD, who reviewed the clinical rationale for targeting BCL-2 in higher-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and outlined the phase 3 GLORA-4 trial (NCT06641414) evaluating lisaftoclax (APG-2575) plus azacitidine (Vidaza) in this population. Dr Garcia-Manero is the chair ad interim in the Department of Leukemia in the Division of Cancer Medicine, as well as leader of the MDS/AML Moon Shot Program, at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.In the exclusive interview, Dr Garcia-Manero contextualized lisaftoclax as a next-generation BCL-2 inhibitor being advanced as a hypomethylating agent (HMA) partner strategy intended to improve on outcomes historically achieved with azacitidine alone in higher-risk MDS. He emphasized that GLORA-4 is designed as a registrational, randomized trial to rigorously assess whether adding BCL-2 inhibition to standard HMAs can meaningfully deepen responses and translate into clinically relevant benefit. He also characterized the regimen's tolerability profile in a population that often requires careful supportive care and dose management.
