We watched M.O.M. (Mothers of Monsters) and Steven also watched Meet the Deedles. It's about Paul Walker farting in the face of his friend while climbing down a mountain. Oh, right, the other movie we actually reviewed. Well that's about a 40 year old looking kid that's really 16 that punks on his mom who hid his Playstation.
SURFS UP SKA IS ON THE HORIZON! Meet The Deedles is a movie about two white surfer dudes (Paul Walker and the guy who voices Maxi in Soul Calibur 6) from Hawaii who find themselves as park rangers for Yellowstone! Their first mission is to stop this infestation of prairie dogs! #783 - Diane Schuur The Diane Schuur Interview on The Paul Leslie Hour. Are you here? If you think I don't know that you're here, listening to The Paul Leslie Hour, well you've got another thing coming. Okay, seriously we've got an interview from the archives with Diane Schuur. This was broadcast on FM radio years ago and hasn't been heard since. Did you know that we have a lot of archival interviews like this just waiting to get heard. You can help us in our mission to get all of this content out there. Be a patron of the spoken word and supporter of independent media. Just go www.thepaulleslie.com/support This interview with Jazz legend Diane Schuur was conducted by Paul E. Leslie just after she released her album “The Gathering,” on Vanguard Records. Although Diane Schuur is one of jazz's leading singers, “The Gathering” is a collection of country songs mostly written during the 1960s. Produced by Steve Buckingham, the album features Alison Krauss, Vince Gill, Larry Carlton, Mark Knopfler, and Kirk Whalum. Diane Schuur or “Deedles” as she is called by fans and friends alike, has a career spanning more than 40 years. She's collaborated with the likes of jazz trumpeter Maynard Ferguson, the Count Basie Orchestra, the Caribbean Jazz Project, Stevie Wonder, Barry Manilow, Ray Charles, and bluesman B. B. King. She is a Grammy award-winner and it we think the word “legend” suits her perfectly. Now let's get into the interview. The Paul Leslie Hour - Helping People Tell Their Stories is a talk show with new episodes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Some of the most iconic people of all time drop in to chat. Frequent topics include Arts, Entertainment and Culture.
This one gets a little off the rails. The boys sit down to discuss the Daniel Stern movie, "Bushwhacked" which was originally conceived as a spin off to Home Alone. Daniel Stern plays Max Grabelski (who is essentially Marv from Home Alone), a sleazy delivery man who gets mixed up with some bad folks and framed for murder. Grabelski goes on the lam and gets accidentally mistaken as a camp scout leader (not unlike Meet the Deedles) and has to lead a group of scouts on an overnight hike with the FBI, parents, and bad guys on his heels. Hijinx ensue. facebook.com/throwbacktheaterpodcast throwbacktheaterpodcast@gmail.com Write to us to claim your free "Up Yours Blue Boy" sticker!

In this movie, twin brothers, Phil and Stew Deedle, are sent by their ultra-wealthy father from their dreamy Hawaiian home to a survivalist camp in Jackson Hole. But soon, the twins are mistaken for a pair of new camp rangers at Yellowstone National Park where they're tasked with eliminating the recent Prairie Dog problem and stumble into a plot to overthrow the park and capture Old Faithful! Also featuring Dennis Hopper, Robert Englund, A.J. Langer, and Steve Van Wormer. facebook.com/throwbacktheaterpodcast throwbacktheaterpodcast@gmail.com Write to us to claim your free sticker!

This week, with great reluctance, our hosts invite you to MEET THE DEEDLES. What's a Deedle, you ask? Good question. It's a behind-the-times archetypical character of a dumb/slacker comedy. It's a lame, over-the-top, annoying, adult truant. It's, sadly, one of Paul Walker's first film roles, before he became fast and/or furious. Our hosts had the meet the Deedles and now you do too - but we bet you'll wish you deedlen't.
We go totally tubular with the praise dogs with our review of Meet the Deedles. Surprisingly, we found this more fun than we remembered. This movie marks our entrance into 1998, so we also review all that happened that pivotal year of our childhood. "Surf Wyoming!" Celebrating Nelson's birthday with a blast from the past so diculous it's re-diculous! Meet the Deedles is a Disney produced diamond in the rough featuring a young Paul Walker and Steve Van Wormer as The Deedles, a boneheaded surfing duo who find themselves landlocked in Yellowstone National Park, and after a mistaken identity, find themselves put in charge of stopping the local prairie dog infestation. This movie is truly something else, and has been largely forgotten by time, but holds up some pretty key parts of the Slimehouse genre in its mayhem, making it a must for Slime fans. While we find ourselves nearing the end of our Summer of Sequels, we have really been craving the outdoors, so what better way to have an appreciation for the world outside than by visiting one of the countries oldest national parks: Yellowstone. The movie is "Meet the Deedles" starring Paul Walker, before he got fast and furious. The movie follows brothers Phil and Stu, a couple of...surfers? Hipsters? Morons? We couldn't really decide. The brothers are tasked with attending camp by their father as a way to build character. Woah, dude! For our first ever Live Action DiC movie recap, we're starting with a film so diculous that it's re-diculous; 1998's 'Meet The Deedles'. Directed by then-stuntman Steve Boyum and starring Steve Van Wormer and the late Paul Walker as beach-bum millionaire brothers turned trainee Park Rangers, Meet the Deedles is a wacky comedy which has more surfing than likable characters. And considering there's literally two surfing scenes, that's a problem. "the cars ahhh.wav" courtesy of thatjeffcarter on freesound https://freesound.org/people/thatjeffcarter/sounds/149403/https://mostlykobolds.com
Back in 1999, the first -- and to date, only -- Homie song was released. Sure, the song may have been buried behind two other credits songs at the end of Disney’s failed foray into the goofy surfer buddy comedy genre, Meet the Deedles staring Paul Walker and Steve Van Wormer. But no reference to Weezer is too obscure for My Name is Weezer hosts Jen and Patrick, and no Fast and Furious reference too obscure for their friend, and hilarious comedian, Fadl Saadi. Find out if any of them are monkey experts and just how many times Patrick will let them say “p-dog.”
Sometimes a Weezer show needs to contain absolutely no talk about Weezer, and this is one of those times. Never fear, there are a million other things to talk about during the band’s hiatus - like the Rentals concert the hosts attended in 2014! You’re also going to be hard pressed to find more conversation about the Meet the Deedles soundtrack. Also discussed here: The Rentals’ Seven More Minutes, Homie, and Pat Wilson’s Special Goodness. My Name is Weezer does not own Weezer's music. Their music is solely used for commentary.
The guys watch Meet the Deedles! Paul Walker and Steve Van Wormer play two spoiled Hawaii surfer bums who are sent off to Wyoming by their father. With classic Disney-esque twists and turns, Meet the Deedles is a horrible/amazing piece of cinematic work.
