The Fetus revolves around a couple who become pregnant with a half-human, half-demonic fetus with a thirst for blood-and must uncover its terrifying origins before it's too late. Starring Bill Moseley and Lauren LaVera has everything you want in horror: practical effects, primal screams, excellent sound design and camerawork, and Bill Moseley ! This is a film you need to favorite and watch.Join Kevin Nickelson and Anthony DeRouen as we talk The Fetus with Joe Lam!
In this ScreenFish 1on1 Interview, Kurt Deimer, who plays The Grog in SCARED TO DEATH, discusses bringing his character to life and building the expansive Grog universe. He reflects on learning from horror legends like Lin Shaye and Bill Moseley, drawing inspiration from their experience to shape his performance. Kurt also shares insights into balancing fear, mythology, and fun, showing how The Grog contributes to the film's suspense, tension, and the larger horror world.SCARED TO DEATH is in theatres now.
SCARED TO DEATH (3:10) is a horror comedy that isn't particularly funny or horrific, but it does feature horror icons Lin Shaye and Bill Moseley, so that's great! (Oh, and Rae Dawn Chong shows up, too. Yay!) The story, however, is one of those nifty ideas - filming a seance in a haunted orphanage that was run by a Satan worshipper (neat!) - that falls flat. The lore doesn't add up, the characters are dopes, and the pacing is off. We don't like to give lower budgeted features a hard time, but we couldn't find much to like here. Over on Patreon, we watch Paul Feig's 2025 thriller THE HOUSEMAID.
In this episode of Pop Culture Weekly, we're diving into two very different but equally fascinating corners of pop culture: sharp social body horror satire and good old-fashioned horror mayhem as Kyle McMahon is joined by Scared to Death horror legends Lin Shaye and Bill Moseley and Slanted's writer / director Amy Wang and stars Shirley Chen, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan & Amelie Zilber. First up, Kyle sits down with the stars and creators of the bold new film Slanted. Joining him are Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (Never Have I Ever), Amelie Zilber, Shirley Chen, and writer/director Amy Wang. They talk about how the film uses biting satire to explore identity, race, and the kinds of uncomfortable conversations that the best art refuses to avoid. Then we head straight into horror territory with two absolute legends. Bill Moseley (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, House of 1000 Corpses) and the incomparable Lin Shaye (Insidious, Kingpin) join to talk about their new horror-comedy Scared to Death. They get into their incredible careers, why audiences can't get enough of monsters and the emotional truth that makes a great horror movie stick with you long after the credits roll. It's thoughtful, funny, a little creepy and there are definitely a few fanboy moments along the way.If you dig the show, subscribe, rate, and share - and tell your friend who's always stealing your streaming passwords.
This interview is a must watch! Join me as I spoke with B.J. Minor about his debut role in what has been described as a movie packed with witty humor and supernatural tales beyond surprising and refreshing which will keep the audience invested all the way until the very last credit has rolled across the screen. We spoke about the meta layers of the film and how he approached them regarding his performance. He also went into detail about the atmosphere and what it was like to work on set with horror icons Lin Shaye and Bill Moseley. Off topic conversation about his previous works in Bel-Air and Grey's Anatomy was also brought up in the mix. Overall, a great interview with a very talented actor and I cannot wait to see this movie. Scared to Death hits theaters today and make sure you get to your nearest theater and check it out.
On this special interview episode, Erin speaks with Director Paul Boyd and actors Kurt Deimer, Bill Moseley, and Lin Shaye about their new horror-comedy film, Scared to Death. Joining the ranks of epic horror films that sprang (albeit loosely) from true-life occurrences “The Exorcist,” “Jaws,” “The Amityville Horror,” A Nightmare on Elm Street,” and cult classic horror comedies “Young Frankenstein” “Shaun of the Dead,” and “Slither,” “Scared to Death” is a hell of a cinematic ride. The film releases in theaters on Friday, March 13th. Welcome to another episode of Death Don't Do Fiction, the AIPT Movies podcast! The podcast about the enduring legacy of our favorite movies! It's October, so that means it's time for our “Shocktober” series, where we cover movies that go bump in the night! In this week's episode, Alex, Tim, and returning guest Tony Sedani discuss Tom Savini's overlooked 1990 remake of the George Romero classic, Night of the Living Dead!A quick pace! Mild undead nudity! Shocking neck violence! A door you can punch through! A female lead who transitions from damsel in distress to legitimate action hero! Fantastic makeup effects and memorable zombie designs, including one that's twisted up like a pretzel! A great "one awful night in a single location" movie! No real explanation for the horrors that ensue! Social commentary on division and class war! Good ol' boys toying with zombies! Feelings of hopelessness! An impossible Candyman reference! A cast that includes the legendary Tony Todd, Laura Dern's stunt double from Jurassic Park, Patricia Tallman, the writer of The Gingerdead Man, William Butler, an unrecognizable Bill Moseley, and Tom Towles as the worst dude ever! While it may live in the shadow of the 1968 original, it's one of the better remakes and some people's preferred version of Night of the Living Dead! In addition, Alex talks about his favorite movies from Fantastic Fest 2025, including the Iko Uwais-produced martial arts extravaganza Ikatan Darah, Johannes Roberts' monkey-gone-mad creature feature Primate, Justin Long's unique take on corrupt cops in Los Angeles, Night Patrol, Steve Kostanki's Deathstalker, V/H/S/Halloween, the shark thriller Beast of War, and Curry Barker's oddly funny cautionary horror tale, Obsession! Finally, Tony shares his spoiler-free thoughts on The Long Walk, One Battle After Another, Good Boy, and The Smashing Machine, while Alex does the same for the Shudder original Night of the Reaper, and the realization of a plumber's worst nightmare, Scared Shitless! You can find Death Don't Do Fiction on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. On this edition of Parallax Views, Terrifier 2 & Terrifier 3's star final girl, Lauren LaVera, has a new fright flick, The Fetus, coming out on March 7th that'll combine comedy and body horror! And it'll also feature horror icon Bill Moseley, know for his roles as the brutal killer Otis Driftwood in Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses & The Devil's Rejects and the demented Choptop in Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, in a deliciously macabre role as a blind veteran with psychotic side. As you can probably surmise from the title, the movie will tackle pregnancy horror and creature feature thrills vis-à-vis a demonic baby. If you're a fan of 80s horrors like John Carpenter's The Thing or Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street, you'll be glad to know that the movie relies heavily on practical creature effects. It also promises to be a timely fright flick in light of the debates the rage on in American culture over abortion. Joining us to discuss the movie is the film's director, Joe Lam. We'll talk about the experience of working with Lauren LaVera and Bill Moseley, the long process of writing the movie, the influence of Orson Welles' Citizen Kane on Joe, the film's use of practical effects and the award-winning work of Alex Rojas on the creature effects, the decision to release The Fetus unrated and increasing obsolescence of the MPAA ratings system in the age of streaming, thoughts on Sean Baker's Oscar speech in which he made a call for defending independent film and movie theaters in an age where both are under threat, balancing comedy/humor and horror, the importance of story and character development in Joe Lam's approach to horror, and much, much more!

You're Listening to Parallax Views https://parallaxviews.podbean.com/ Support the Show on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/parallaxviews On this edition of Parallax Views, it's Valentine's Day Parallax Views special! And to celebrate the J.G. decided to dig up an interview that was previously unreleased related to holiday. In 1981, George Mihalka's Canadian slasher My Bloody Valentine hit theaters. In the years since it has become a cult classic, enough so, in fact, to get a Hollywood remake in 2009 directed by Wes Craven protege Patrick Lussier & starring heartthrob Jensen Ackles from the hit TV show Supernatural. The original movie, in which a town known as Valentine Bluffs experiences a series of murders seemingly committed by a vengeful, deranged miner known as Harry Warden, has never received a proper sequel. Fans of the movie, however, came together to get a professionally done, feature-length fan sequel. It's called Valentine Bluffs: A My Bloody Valentine Fan Film and even features a guest starring performance from Troma's Lloyd Kaufman as the Mayor of Valentine Bluffs. It features all the bloody mayhem one would expect from a sequel to My Bloody Valentine, and, best of all for fans of 80s horror, features lovingly made practical effects rather than CGI. In this previously unreleased interview, I speak with director and special effects artist Tom Smith and lead actress Rachel Keefe about Valentine Bluffs: A My Bloody Valentine Fan Film in-depth! You can view the fan film for free on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIIOv49awUU. Near the end of the conversation Rachel talks about her upcoming role in Joe Lam's horror movie The Fetus. As it turns out, The Fetus is set to be released next month, March 2025, and, in addition to Rachel Keefe, stars Terrifier 2 and Terrifier 3's Lauren LaVera as well as genre stalwart Bill Moseley from Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, and Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre! Send us a textDo you remember The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2? It is the sequel to one of the most influential horror movies of all time that not only divided the critics but the audience as well. We don't remember a whole lot of this movie but we remember that it was a complete 180 from the O.G. and it had Dennis Hopper. It had a lot of gore and was funnier for some reason. The point is, we can't wait.Do You Remember Liking This Movie?

Two years ago, she directed and co-wrote her second queer horror feature film, Bad Girl Boogey, featuring a cameo from horror icon Bill Moseley. Alice talks about her influences and processes for mixing music and horror.

Folks... sometimes (but not often) Clint Eastwood tried his hand at comedy and this is indeed one of them. The guys discuss Clint teaming with Bernadette Peters to fight white supremacists (!) in the light(?)-hearted comedy, Pink Cadillac. There is much to behold here from Clint's goofy character work, the delightful Bernadette Peters being good at everything, the whole thing working better as a sitcom (don't steal our idea, TM TM) than a 2-hour PLUS movie, the Jim Carrey cameo and much more. Joe Lam joins us to talk about his upcoming horror film The Fetus starring Bill Moseley and Lauren Lavera! Filmmaker Courtney Dixon talking her new short film Depression Is A Beast starring Jenna Kanell! "Courtney Dixon's DEPRESSION IS A BEAST was inspired by a New York Times article about the unexpected correlation between people who suffer from mental health issues and horror films, enabling them to switch the source of their feelings to the screen. This led her to actress Jenna Kanell who has a background in horror films but also openly details her struggle with mental health. This phenomenal documentary short has been selected for the Oscar Qualifying Tribeca Film Festival. A modern-day scream queen who typically battles evil forces in horror films confronts her darkest struggle, a real-life fight against depression.
