Exemple: le 26 Carré Or à Monte-Carlo.
Believe it or not, it's already been 10 years since the release of James DeMonaco's breakout hit, “The Purge.” The micro-budget horror film would go on to earn a massive box office and devoted fanbase, spawning four sequels and multi-season TV series. And in honor of the film's 10th Anniversary, DeMonaco joins The Playlist Podcast to talk about his 2013 hit and how a fractured country inspired him to make a film about people killing each other for sport. Oh yeah, and he also teases what might come in the future. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theplaylist/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theplaylist/support

And on this episode of The Playlist Podcast, DeMonaco joins the show to go deep about his new film, as well as the future of “The Purge.” --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/theplaylist/message

The Context of White Supremacy deconstructs James DeMonaco's multi-million dollar franchise, The Purge. University of Texas (Austin) professor Dr. Martin Kevorkian returns to The C.O.W.S. to dissect the films. The author of Color Monitors, Dr. Kevorkian has written about the White Supremacy messaging in films and converesed with our audience repeatidly. We'll turn our attention to DeMonaco's science fiction juggernaut and the three installments released since 2013. The Purge depicts a dystopian future, where ruling Whites (the New Founding Fathers of America) decree that on one day each year, murder and all other crimes are legal for twelve hours. All three movies depict nearly unparalleled scenes of sadistic brutality and White pathology. White Supremacy is flaunted in all three films: a black male is hunted by a White mob in the first film. White goons sporting "White Power" insignias and swastikas prowl the third film - released on the 4th of July weekend this summer. We'll get Dr. Kevorkian's perspective on the timing of these projects and the politics being broadcast by a franchise that suggests the way to solve problems is by killing people.
