I learned a great lesson when I was younger. Someone was being difficult and I said something ugly about them to another person. That other person was a dear friend who pulled me aside and said, "You really don't know what they're going through do you? I would tell you but it's not my story to tell, so instead I encourage you to read Romans 2:1-3 the next time you want to judge someone."OUCH! And double ouch after I read it, "Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?"That correction helped change my world view.-Sonny

This was a phrase I heard God say to me when I was having a conversation with Him over my convictions. I used to have judgment toward people who had the very convictions I now have. I also used to think some of these new convictions would never be anything I would feel convicted about. When my heart started shifting to new convictions, I first felt shame and even guilt, but I was met with love and compassion in my conversation with God, and now feel empowered. So let's talk about some examples where this happened in my life and allow to me encourage you if you have had the same stirring in your heart too.
This is what you didn't get to hear in part 1. Naomi and myself was dropping heavy knowledge.

Don't judge and it sounds easy but it's not. Frankly, it's now worth your time, your attention. It is just not worth it. You will never know another person entirely so you just don't. You wipe the slate clean by forgiving them You love them and keep it at the honeymoon phase and refuse to listen to those 'stories'. Hope this helps and blessings to you! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/rita-cragwall/support
In true Confidence and Self Esteem style; if you are looking to have more self love, have increased levels of self esteem or greater confidence; you have to get slightly out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself and I'm no different when it comes to this. I'm certainly not prepared to hide behind some carefully edited recording! So as ALWAYS you get the raw - unedited version. Just like with all shows - I need your feedback. Let me know what you want me to talk about what you want to hear. Happy listening
Katherine and I started watching this great show called Ted Lasso in Apple TV+ recently.Ted is calling out this owner and said, “You know, you took me for granted, you didn't have very high expectations of me. You thought low of me and I think that's because you're not curious. A lot of people never took me seriously in my life and my career. They didn't think I could accomplish a lot and I didn't realize what that was. I thought maybe it was me, it used to really bother me until I read this quote that “Be Curious, Don't Judge.”When you look at your prospects, your leads, your sphere that you're trying to generate more referrals from, how many of them are curious? And how many people judge?

In this episode, I reflect on the wonderful people who contributed to episodes 46-49 and re-visit a principle as old as time itself. About your host: After years of suffering with crippling communication anxiety, Simon Day was left with two choices: spend his whole life hiding in the shadows and risk losing everything, or find his voice. Through a painful yet empowering journey of discovery, Simon has transformed from terrified teenager to UK award-winning speaker and communications coach. He now employs his communication skills as a middle leader in secondary education and works under his self-built brand, Simon Speaks, to coach others seeking to lose their fear, find their voice and speak with greater power. Don't judge me! Or, maybe you should... Today's #TQOTD was all about those things that you secretly judge people about. And it turns out that almost everyone has at least one thing that they judge other people about. It could be smoking, tattoos, or even how you raise your kids. Be sure to listen to the #TQOTD answers so you don't get judged by a member of the Click of Six. Also on the show, Christine gave us the "Do's and Don'ts of Kissing" for Christine-ology, the Celebrity Dating Game is back and it might be a little cringe, and we learned about a edible face mask. All of that and much more on today's show!
Judge good. Not judge good. Judge bad! Not judge bad! The fact of the matter is that reality is, it doesn't matter (at least as far as the pursuit of a virtuous life is concerned). "There's a lot of blame going around. Rumors, gossip, people are on their guard. So this kind of hidden anger and passive aggressiveness that I have seen, [what's] always an eye-opener with clients is how many people need to be CC'd on any given email. So the more people that are CC'd in anything gives you an indication: there's a bit of fear, and so that shows that there's generally low trust." Faye Ekong, Managing Director, RavelWorks Africa We're Only Human -- Episode 116 In the organizational context of change management, it's easy to become frustrated or flustered with people about how they feel about policies and decisions. But as Faye Ekong so clearly illustrates in this conversation on We're Only Human, we should hold them accountable for their actions, not how they feel. In addition, Faye shares insights on organizational health (and a lack of it) with examples that will make you smile and nod along with her. Her work in Africa in may ways reflects the work of HR leaders around the globe, and her advice is helpful for driving better change and HR outcomes.
Jesus tells us not to judge others, but there's a healthy way for His followers to address sin. Parallel passage: Luke 6:37-42
