That's it. That's about all the description we need. The O'jays have such an expansive catalogue of music that has inarguably touched most Americans in some way, shape or form. Most of us get the warm and fuzzies when we hear the opening bars of "our song" by the legendary trio. Original member Walter Williams takes us down memory lane, and elaborates on his unshakable faith while Eric Nolan talks about enjoying life, loving everything you have, smelling the roses and the privilege of singing with his idol. (Eddie Levert is recovering from COVID. Sending love, light and healing energy!) Catch their latest album, The Last Word, and catch them on tour in a city near you!
S5 E17: Eric Nolan talks being homeless to working with @The O'Jays , checking @JAY-Z and MORE
This week I'm excited to catch up with one of the best known and most loved singer- songwriters from the '60s and '70s. He's written hundreds of tunes many of which you'll instantly recognise. The extraordinary JIMMY WEBB takes us on a journey through his life, from humble beginnings on the farm in midwest America to Hollywood where he lived the life of excess, hobnobbed with the who's who of showbiz and when honoured with multiple grammy awards, finally met the artist he'd most admired since childhood. We'll also catch up with Soul and R&B legends THE O'JAYS who are bringing their tenure of 60 years to a close with one final tour. The O'Jays were the first black vocal group to perform in arenas across the US and after more than 70 years of singing together, founding members Eddie Levert Sr and Walter Williams Sr are on the road to remind audiences of their lifelong passion. Joining them is ERIC NOLAN GRANT, who's been with the band since 1995 and has just released his first solo single. Eric tells us what life is like being part of such a legendary group. Remember Australia's new wave and synth-pop band, REAL LIFE? The band had a string of hits in the 80's and hit number one worldwide with their song 'Send Me An Angel'. The song was the making of the band but lineup changes and issues with anxiety and depression saw the band fade from the spotlight. We meet the band's founder DAVID STERRY who has just resurrected Real Life with the release of a brand new album. Join me, won't you? Do you have a guest you'd like to request? If so, please get in touch with me via the website www.abreathoffreshair.com.au If you like what you hear, please don't forget to subscribe to the podcast too! And maybe tell your friends. Every little bit helps. I'd really appreciate it!

Hello, everyone, and welcome back for season 4! This week, we've got Prince Oberyn breezing into the show like a sexy hurricane while the Lannister family continues to allow petty squabbles to spoil the victorious atmosphere after the Red Wedding; Sansa gets a visit from Ser Dontos. Up at Castle Black, Jon's finding his inner Ned while Ygritte and Tormund begin their long wait for Mance's signal. Daenerys has a new Daario to look after on the road to Meereen. And in the Riverlands, The Hound has come to kick ass and eat chicken, and he successfully manages to do both of those things. Is French New-Wave the most impressive new genre we've come across in our IMDb 250 Challenge?
