Today on Everything Belongs we're joined by author and Enneagram teacher Hunter Mobley, to explore Type Two on the Enneagram — “the helper.” Type Twos excel at offering deep empathy, generosity, loyalty, and a strong desire to care for others. However, there's also a shadow side to this type; they may struggle with boundaries, have hidden expectations for validation, or carry resentment from giving too much to others. Fr. Richard explains that many Twos learn early in life to earn love through caretaking. Hunter expands on how cultural expectations, gender roles, and spirituality can shape or mask each of the Enneagram types, with particular emphasis on the Two. Tune in to discover how the Enneagram is not just about personality typing, but about transformation and solidarity. Welcome to a journey that helps reveal how everything — and everyone — belongs. They are “other-directed” people, whose well-being depends on how their environment reacts to them. We all have this same concern, to some degree. It grows out of the mirroring we received or didn't receive as a child when we were first developing our sense of identity. “Who am I in your eyes?” is a central question for Enneagram type twos. Do you find yourself struggling with perfectionism or a harsh inner critic? Today's episode of Everything Belongs explores the Enneagram Type One with special guest author, teacher, and urban hermit, Tessa Bielecki. Tessa shares personal stories regarding how trauma and betrayal shattered her need to fix everything, the 1's ability to make order out of chaos, and how saguaro cacti became teachers — all opening her up to a more compassionate way of living. Both Richard and Tessa shed light on the Enneagram One's struggle with perfectionism, and self-judgment, eventually finding healing through embracing imperfection, forgiveness, and presence. Pastor Sam Rainer preaches a series about God's names in the Bible. This sermon examines the meaning of Adonai. God not only created everything, but He also owns everything. The fulfilment of God's promises is often tied to your surrender to Him as Adonai. Human rulers rise and fall. They make decisions for a season. But Adonai never fades, never fails, never relinquishes authority.
In this episode of Pray the Word on Numbers 18:25–26, David Platt teaches that giving is an expression of surrender and trust.Secret Church happens once a year, inspired by believers who gather at great cost. On April 17, over 50,000 believers from around the world will come together online to study the life of Elijah, pray for persecuted Christians and act together to make Jesus known among unreached places in the world. If you're able, we hope you join us. Register at radical.net/secretchurch.Explore more content from Radical.
We gathered this morning to celebrate what the Holy Spirit has done through our capital campaign. That total represents kitchen table conversations, prayers, and willingness that runs counter to human nature. In 1 Chronicles 29, we see David preparing materials for a temple he would never set foot in. After being told he wouldn't build it himself, David gave massively from his personal treasury and rallied the nation to participate. His prayer reveals the truth behind all generosity: everything we give comes from God's hand first. We're returning what already belonged to him.David's framework redefines generosity. We tend to see it as subtraction (I have less now), but scripture presents it as return. God measures our giving by what it costs us, not by the amount. When hundreds of people in Columbiana commit to a building campaign despite tight budgets and financial pressures, that willingness comes from the Holy Spirit rewiring priorities and creating generosity where fear should dominate. We gave toward people who don't know our names yet. A family about to fracture. A teenager losing hope. They'll walk into a seat we helped fund and encounter Jesus in a way that changes everything. At communion, we remembered the ultimate gift: Jesus, who was rich, became poor so we could become spiritually rich through his poverty. The bread and cup remind us what freedom cost and what it provides. One day we'll gather at a different table and see how every sacrificial gift echoed into forever. And with David, we'll say: who are we that we should give like this? Everything came from you. All glory belongs to you.URF WEBSITE: ➤ http://www.urfellowship.comSOCIALS: ➤ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/urfellowship/➤ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/urfellowship

Everything Belongs to God | Return to Sender – Matthew 25:14-25At Divine Savior Church, Pastor Ben Kuerth continues our “Return to Sender” series with a powerful message from Matthew 25:14-25 — “It All Belongs to Him.” We explore the truth that everything we have — our time, talents, and treasures — ultimately belongs to God. We are not owners; we are faithful stewards of what God has entrusted to us.In this message, Pastor Ben unpacks what joyful stewardship looks like when we recognize God's ownership of all things. Drawing from Genesis — where God entrusts humanity with His creation — we see how stewardship begins with understanding God as the source of every blessing. Scriptures like Psalm 24:1-6 remind us that “The earth is the LORD's and everything in it,” and James 1:16-18 emphasizes that every good and perfect gift is from above and that we are the firstfruits of His blessings.Whether you're seeking to grow in faithful stewardship, clarify your calling, or deepen your trust in God's provision, this message will challenge and encourage you to live with a greater sense of responsibility, gratitude, and joy.Support the showMoved to give? http://dschurch.link/givedoralFor more info about our church please visit our website: https://divinesaviorchurch.com/dscdor/
Tom Lawrence always knew his calling had to do with money. Growing up in Southeast London, England, Tom convinced his parents to help him get work experience in hedge funds and investment banks at the young age of twelve. But a few years into his teens, Tom had an amazing encounter with Jesus which turned his whole perspective on life upside down. His passion for money remained, but instead of feathering his own nest, Tom began to see money in the light of funding for the Kingdom. As an adult, Tom spent about ten years as a wealth manager for private banks and wealth management organizations and his views on Kingdom finances grew and matured with him. Suddenly, Tom found himself without a job, and he soon realized that this was an opportunity to know God as Jehovah Jireh, his Provider. During this time, Tom began an intensive study of what the Bible really says about money. That journey reshaped everything—how he understands ownership, stewardship, and the call the pursue true riches. Out of that 200 hours of Bible study, Tom founded the Biblical Financial Masterclass, a 12+ hour course that helps Christians build their financial house using God's blueprint from Scripture. Now, Tom equips Believers, churches, and organizations to heal their relationships with money and to rethink their financial lives from the heart outward, grounding principles in Scripture and pointing people towards Gospel transformation. Tune in for a fantastic dive into how God's Word radically reshapes our relationship with money. Major Topics Include: Three dimensions of money and faith Biblical financial insights from 200 hours of study Commonly misunderstood money scriptures Developing his course Equipping to handle what God wants to give you Getting your heart right in relationship with money The Christian motivation for generosity What is “serving Mammon?” Peeling back the layers of Mammon in our lives The truth about extravagance in giving Challenges in engaging the local church in financial conversation QUOTES TO REMEMBER “I was just as passionate about money after I got saved and it gave me a reason why I should be rather than just feathering my nest, which was my main ambition at 13 or 14. Between 15 and 17, I began to see it as an opportunity to fund the Kingdom.” “One of the greatest things that we can do is handle money that's not ours, in line with Somebody Else's will, for Somebody Else's glory in order that it would be redeemed and bring about salvation in people's lives.” “More than 10% of the entire Bible is given over to talking about money, finances, wealth, and stuff in some form of another. And about 1 in 6 of Jesus's parables touches on it.” “Do not assume you are outside of God's will just because you're going through something difficult.” “Fundamentally, the entirety of the Bible is a display of generosity. It's a love letter to humanity from God.” “How much money is too much money? It's any amount that replaces our trust in God.” “Cheerful giving comes down to heart preparation.” “When we avoid talking about money, we are not sparing our congregations awkwardness, we are leaving a gaping hole in their discipleship.” LINKS FROM THE SHOW Biblical Financial Masterclass Stewardship (UK Ministry) The Finish Line Community Facebook Group The Finish Line Community LinkedIn Group BIBLE REFERENCES FROM THE SHOW Luke 16:1-13 | The Parable of the Dishonest Manager Haggai 2: 6-7 | The Coming Glory of the Temple For thus says the Lord of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. This episode was recorded during a particularly memorable moment, as a brood of ducklings hatched in Richard's front yard, creating a scene of pure joy and wonder that mirrors the themes of new beginnings and unexpected grace that ran throughout this season. We hope you enjoy it
The wild has been banished, pushed to the edges of civilization, pushed to the edges of psyche. Wolves and coyotes, bears and bobcats, rage and sexuality and messiness and imperfection have all been relegated to the outskirts. We long for wildness. We long for freedom and aliveness, creativity and authenticity. And yet, we might also fear wildness—the way it can control us. The way we can burn others and be burned by it. How do we get in touch with our wild parts, and integrate them with the rest of us? How do we find healthy containers in which to explore our creativity, our dreams, our true voice, our boundaries? This is what we are exploring in today's episode. Welcome to the first episode of Everything Belongs, a new season covering the work of Richard Rohr's newly revised version of Falling Upward. In this episode, we're joined by Brenè Brown to kick off our chapter-by-chapter exploration, starting with Chapter 1: "The Two Halves of Life." Together, with Richard Rohr and CAC Staff, they explore the concept of the two halves of life and how Brené has navigated these teachings from the context of her own lived experience, both personally and professionally. We also talk about the brand-new foreword, which Brené wrote for the new edition of Falling Upward. But first, Mike and Paul begin the episode at Richard's hermitage to hear his reflections on the first chapter a decade after he originally wrote it. Brené is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Foundation Endowed Chair at the Graduate College of Social Work. She also holds the position of Visiting Professor and management at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business. Brené has spent the past few decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy. She's the author of six number one New York Times bestsellers, and is the host of two award-winning podcasts, Unlocking Us and Dare to Lead. She lives in Houston, Texas with her husband, Steve. They have two children, Ellen and Charlie, and a weird Bichon named Lucy. Connect with us: A PDF of the transcript for this episode is available here. Everything Belongs is a show about living the teachings of Richard Rohr forward, co-creating a world where everyone and everything belongs. On future seasons, we'll be making our way through Richard's major teachings. But in this inaugural mini-series, we're focusing on laying the foundations for those seasons by catching up with Richard and various staff members at the Center for Action and Contemplation to gain an understanding for how the CAC is evolving as we water the roots of Richard's teachings while nourishing new growth at the edges. Resources: The transcript for this episode can be found here. Connect with us: How'd the series land for you? We'd love to know. Email us: podcasts@cac.org or leave us voicemail. This podcast is made possible, thanks to the generosity of our donors. Meditation: Everything Belongs - This guided meditation awakens an embodied presence through a body scan, and invites us to rest in the breath, while allowing the different waves of sensations, feelings and sounds to come and go. When difficult experiences arise, we breathe with them, feeling them fully and mentally whispering, “this belongs,” or “this too.” By not resisting, we discover the sea of awareness that has room for all the waves.
