Exodus 4 God has chosen moses to be the one to deliver the Israelites from bondage in Egypt . Meanwhile Moses was having doubts and he told God that people might not believe him when he goes to them with the message of God. God did two miracles to convince moses of His ability and also as prove to the Israelites. Moses was still having excuses , he later complained to God of his speech impairment. God said “Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Finally Aaron was prepared as the spokesperson for moses. Moses went Back to his father in-law ( Jethro) . He then embarked on his journey back to Egypt In the meantime ,God spoke to moses again , he commanded him to follow all his instructions. He said he has hardened pharaoh's heart . Lessons I learnt 1: God knows our abilities before giving us any mission . Our own is to depend on him . 2: God is patient and kind. He took his time with moses even when he was explaining his weakness to God. God was able to prepare Aaron to help him on his mission . 3: Exodus 5 Moses and Aaron arrived at Pharaoh's palace . They delivered the message of God. However Pharaoh asked them “Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice and let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, and moreover, I will not let Israel go.” Moreover Moses and Aaron persisted in their quest to convince Pharaoh of God's word. But the whole thing got Pharaoh enraged and he asked that taskmasters to no longer give straw to the Israelites as they used to do. And that the Israelites got more issue on their plate. Now with more task to do the Israelites blamed Moses for pouring salt on their wounds . Moses so heartbroken went back to God. He expressed his displeasure about the situation. “O Lord, why have you done evil to this people? Why did you ever send me? He could not see the sense in his mission . Lessons learnt 1: Sometimes we need to be fortified with faith and patience to see the miracle of God. Moses expected the mission to be a piece of cake but the opposite was the case. 2: Our present situations can be so heart breaking but we should not stop having faith and having a great fellowship with God. Exodus 6 God responded to Moses' grieving. God being the God of His word restated his stand on the deliverance of the Israelites. He told moses he will deliver the Israelites with a mighty hand . He promised that pharaoh will drive them out with a strong hand because of what he (God ) will do to him(pharaoh). God again sent Moses back to pharaoh to give him the messages again. Followed is the genealogical account of Moses and Aaron. They are brothers from the tribe of Levi. Lessons learnt 1: God always stands by His word. He never backs down no matter how bad we feel .He re affirm his promise of deliverance to Moses . 2: No matter how confused we feel. We should always know he that has promised will bring it to fulfillment. We should freely approach God's presence and he is always ready to hear us. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/irtwbey365/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/irtwbey365/support
