Trevor Ashley follows in a long line of Australian stage larrikins that include Roy Rene, Barry Humphries, Gary McDonald and Reg Livermore. These performers have created characters who have celebrated the outrageous, and all that is particular about our culture.Trevor Ashley continues this biting and hysterical piss-take, serving it up in flamboyant and finely realised entertainments such Fat Swan, Little Orphan Trashley, Bodybag and The Lyin' Queen. Alongside these ‘naughty' pantos, Ashley has also enjoyed worldwide success with his one-man shows Liza on an E, Liza's Back! - is Broken, and Diamonds Are For Trevor. He's also proved himself on the musical theatre stage with acclaimed performances in Priscilla Queen of the Desert (Miss Understanding), Jesus Christ Superstar (King Herod), Hairspray (Edna Turnblad) and Les Miserables (Thenadier).Trevor can also be seen conquering television in RFDS on channel 7 and in the new Australian film, Seriously Red.Intent on embracing many roles, Ashley also wears the titles of producer, writer, musician and director. It is in the role of Director that Trevor is presently executing his craft. He has returned to Priscilla - the musical, staging it for a season at The Star Gold Coast, Broadbeach, Queensland from July16th to August 7th. The production is presented by Matt Ward Entertainment. It's bound to be flamboyant, fabulous, loud, lewd, colourful and camp - just like our Trev, who was the perfect guest for STAGES ‘Live' @ VIVID.The Stages podcast is available from Apple podcasts, Spotify, Whooshkaa and where you find your favourite podcasts. www.stagespodcast.com.au

Gary McDonald has been consulting with transitioning and certified organic farmers for over 30 years, and farming himself for many of those. His home range is south central IL, but I’ve seen Gary present and inspire across the Midwest. He’s a row crop cultivation guru, a tireless organic advocate and educator, and a consistent champion for productive, biologically active organic farms. I always appreciate, and am sometimes challenged, by Gary’s thoughts and perspectives. Today we talk about what some are calling the ‘war’ with Covid19, when to work your fields, the connections between soil health and human health, foundational soil health principles, and much more. We’re here, in central Illinois, as Gary gets ready for a great season. Pull up a chair and let’s listen in. This episode is one of seven in which we take a digital road trip, checking in via phone with growers from Missouri on up to Canada about how they and the communities they live in are reacting to Covid-19. So hop in, buckle up, and hit the virtual road with us for this special spring 2020 series of Into the Weeds podcasts: Road trip edition. As if there were any doubt. With the exception of a lone sports writer from San Diego, the BWAA confirmed on Wednesday what New York Mets fans have been saying all summer. Jacob deGrom this season was baseball's best pitcher. He wins the National League's 2018 Cy Young award in a landslide, claiming 29 of 30 first place votes. As such, he becomes the second Mets pitcher this decade, and the fourth pitcher in Mets history, to receive baseball's award for pitching excellence. A Metsian Podcast this evening invites you to join them for an amazin' celebration of Jacob's deGromination. Host Mike Lecolant will be joined by feature guest, author and proprietor of Faith and Fear in Flushing, Greg Prince. Schedule permitting, Gary McDonald of Mets Musings will join the show in progress ... from a Metsian Podcast's lips to Joan Whitney Payson's ears. The show starts at 9:00pm (EST), sharp! Of course, you're welcome to phone-in and join the discussion @ 646-787-1919

To the dismay of some, and the satisfaction of others, the Mets stay relatively quiet at the trade deadline. This of course brings into question the organization's future plans and direction. In the meantime, fans bid farewell to bullpen closer Jeurys Familia, and to one of the team's more endearing players over the last few years, Asdrubal Cabrera. However, a few new names are changing the narrative of late at Citi Field. Austin Jackson is providing the Mets a lift in center field, while Las Vegas call-up Jeff McNeil has many wondering if the Mets have found their second baseman of the future. Also, both David Wright and Jay Bruce are on the comeback trail, while Jacob deGrom continues his bid to win the Cy Young award. And wouldn't you know, here we are in the dog days of summer, and the Mets are suddenly playing up to expectations - too late? A Metsian Podcast will touch em all. Michael Lecolant will host Thursday's evening's Metsian Podcast, and will be joined by MetsMusings.com's Gary McDonald. They'll additionally take some time to discuss the Brooklyn Cyclones, and delve into players who've worn #16 in Mets history. The show starts 8:00pm sharp, EST. Of course, you're always welcome to call and join the discussion @ 646-787-1919. #LGM

Did the Border Patrol fund this film? Because if we didn’t know any better, this looks like an hour and a half advertisement trying to convince us to join. That’s right, Jeff and John are back to take on The Shepherd! This is the film no one talks about between Until Death and JCVD – […]
