Send us Fan MailA “mental health call” rarely looks like a calm conversation in a quiet office. It looks like uncertainty, pressure, split-second decisions, and a room full of risk factors that do not fit neatly into a checklist. I sit down with Joe Smarro, former Marine and former San Antonio Police Department officer who spent 11 years full-time on a mental health unit, to unpack what actually works when the goal is simple and urgent: keep everyone safe and lower the temperature fast. Joe shares how Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) changed the way he saw policing, why de-escalation and communication skills matter as much as tactics, and what happens when departments move from a small voluntary approach to broader training expectations. We also talk about the real stigma that shows up inside agencies, including the “hug-a-thug” pushback that often greets jail diversion and mental health initiatives, and why many of the loudest critics have personal stories they have never been given space to name. We go deeper into the intersection of public safety and behavioral health care. Joe explains why sending clinicians alone to volatile crises can create safety problems when scenes involve drugs, co-occurring disorders, and unpredictable behavior, and why the better answer is collaboration with clear lanes. Along the way, we connect this work to leadership in the private sector, challenging belief systems, and Joe's core principle of radical ownership, because resilience is not just about surviving hard moments, it is about choosing what you do next. Quick recap This podcast episode featured Keith, Jill, and Terry discussing various news stories and topics. They covered unusual Guinness World Records, including a man breaking records for balloon nose-mouth transfers and another for pulling vehicles with his nipples. Keith shared a detailed story about a professional cornhole player who is a Quadri amputee and shot a passenger during an argument. The trio also discussed a kangaroo escape in Wisconsin and parrot eggs seized in Denmark. Terry presented a top 10 list of funny things to do with duct tape, while the group reflected on how blindness affects personal identity and social relationships. The episode concluded with email readings and final thoughts, including jokes and humorous observations shared by listeners. Summary Terry shared a story about his wife’s ice cream stand and a customer’s lactose-intolerant dog, leading to a humorous discussion about alternative treats. Jill’s mentioned switching to a new Alexa device, which worked better than her previous one, and shared a lighthearted interaction with her granddaughter about the device’s ability to play fart sounds. Keith shared details about a protest rally where someone dressed as a giant penis, which led to a discussion about the “No Kings” movement and its connection to opposition to Donald Trump. News of the Week Terry and Jill then shared stories about Guinness World Records, including an Austrian man who broke a record for snorting balloons through his nose and a Finnish man who pulled a 2,184-pound vehicle using his body piercings. Keith shared details about a news story involving Dayton Weber, a professional cornhole player who, despite having no hands or feet due to a childhood staph infection, allegedly shot and killed a passenger during an argument in Maryland. Keith explained how Weber was able to play cornhole and drive using prosthetics, noting that he prefers not to use them when playing cornhole to better feel the beanbag. The group discussed how Weber might have operated a firearm using a bump stock, though questions remained about the specific mechanics of how he could shoot and drive simultaneously. Terry shared a story about a Pakistani man who broke a Guinness record by performing 66 thumb push-ups with one leg raised. Jill then told a story about a kangaroo named Chesney that escaped from a petting zoo in Wisconsin and was still on the loose. Keith concluded by sharing a story about Danish authorities seizing 261 parrot eggs from a traveler’s luggage, with one egg already hatched. The conversation ended with Terry mentioning an ice cream stand promotion offering Easter eggs with candy or free items. The group discussed a story that Terry shared about the man who broke a record by dining at 28 Michelin-starred restaurants in 24 hours in New York, spending around $976.97 on food and tips. Jill's trivia quiz Jill presented the questions while Keith and Terry played a quiz about the TV show Gomer Pyle, USMC, answering questions about characters, actors, and episodes. The quiz covered topics like Sergeant Carter’s girlfriend, Gomer’s friend Duke, and catchphrases from the show. Terry's Top 10 List Terry presented a top 10 list of creative uses for duct tape, including making wallets, neckties, phone cases, and temporary footwear. The list also featured more unusual ideas like creating pet costumes, temporary flip-flops, and using duct tape to mark personal space. Keith and Jill contributed comments throughout the discussion, with Keith sharing personal experiences about similar projects and Jill raising practical concerns about some of the ideas. Anchor Topic The group discussed how blindness affects personal identity and social relationships. Keith shared his experience of losing friends after becoming blind and having to reinvent himself professionally. Jill described how some people at her church still don’t recognize her despite attending for years, while others have adapted well. The conversation concluded with Terry and Keith discussing various outdoor activities they’ve tried since becoming blind, including scuba diving, horseback riding, and kayaking. Email and Final Thoughts Keith shared three humorous emails about encounters with a homeless man, evolutionary origins, and a motorcycle purchase. Keith shared two audio segments (that means voicemail) during the meeting. The first was a detailed explanation of what would happen if the entire human population were magically transported to Rhode Island simultaneously, concluding that while the Earth would not be significantly affected, the scenario would create massive logistical challenges. The second segment was a shorter story about a thoughtful food delivery person who went above and beyond to ensure a customer’s elderly mother had proper lighting. Keith noted that future segments should be kept shorter to avoid putting Terry to sleep. The final word from our AI companion The meeting was a casual podcast recording session where Keith, Terry, and Jill shared jokes and humorous anecdotes. The participants took turns telling various types of jokes, including word plays, one-liners, and puns, with some personal anecdotes mixed in. At the end of the recording, Keith provided closing remarks, encouraging listeners to share the podcast with others and visit the website for more content. The Black Lincoln Collective Comedy Podcast: Episode #144 on PopCulturePros (also known as #231 overall, which means danger is now a recurring segment)Title: Unarmed and DangerousAlright, it's Farace—and this week Fred proves once again that survival is more of a suggestion than a priority. The man nearly takes himself out in a showdown with… a shelf. Yes, a shelf. Butterfingers included. It's a harrowing tale of poor decisions, worse coordination, and the kind of story that makes you question how he's made it this far. Then we get what can only be described as a full-blown baby-level meltdown over whether Chuck Norris belongs in the BLC Hall of Fame. The debate gets heated, logic gets thrown out the window, and somehow they still don't land the plane clean. Is Chuck in? Is he out? Is anyone qualified to decide? Absolutely not—but that won't stop them. And to close out Wack History Month, the crew unloads a greatest-hits collection of absolute nonsense: a boutique owner getting arrested like it's a loyalty program, a woman saved by boiled peanuts (which, let's be honest, checks out), and a pro cornhole player briefly becoming “armed and dangerous.” Episode #144 is chaotic, ridiculous, and dangerously close to making sense. Press play and enjoy Fred vs. furniture—Round 1.
Brian's back from overseas and telling us about his time in the Red Light District! A quad amputee cornhole player allegedly shot someone to death, a robot dancer slapped a child, and Mike Lindell is getting sued once again. The Gilgo Beach killer is getting close to a plea deal, a cheerleading pioneer died playing pickleball, and Trump's claim of talking to a former president about Iran was debunked. A delivery robot crashed into a bus shelter in Chicago, a girl drowned at a Florida AirBnB, and Polymarket bettors threatened a reporter for reporting the news! A Brooklyn preschool director stole millions from her school, Philly bars can stay open until 4 AM this summer, and we talk about what we're watching!
This week, on a shockingly new episode of the BLC Podcast, Fred's literally taking his life into his own stupid hands, and he's got butterfingers. Hear the harrowing tale of Fred's brunch with death and a shelf. It's something. Then, we're having what can only be described as a little baby bitch boy argument about whether Chuck Norris belongs in the BLC Hall of Fame. Guess what? He might, or might not be bestowed with the highest honor America's Favorite Podcast can give (RIP Chuck). You'll have to listen to find out. Then, the finale of Wack History Month, and we're talking about a boutique owner that's been arrested 14 times this year, the lady who was saved by boiled peanuts (how freaking good are boiled peanuts, btw?), and the Pro Cornhole player that was temporarily armed and dangerous. All that, and so much more, only on the BLC Podcast. #blcpodcast #podcastingforthepeople #funny #podcast #greenvillesc #scpodcast #yeahthatgreenville Listen at: https://americasfavoritepodcast.com Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/blcpodcast/ Check us out on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/blcpodcast/ Buy Fred and Allan Beer: https://www.patreon.com/blcworld

Outrage boils over into protests after Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital, was killed by a Border Patrol agent. Trump administration officials say Pretti wanted to murder agents, but their claims about the shooting appear to be contradicted by video and witness testimony. A U.S. District Court Judge is granting a temporary restraining order against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to keep evidence connected to Pretti's killing from being changed or destroyed. We'll talk about it with iHeart Radio and TV political analyst Gary Dietrich, and author and journalist Sarah Kendzior. The Mark Thompson Show 1/26/26Patreon subscribers are the backbone of the show! In this timely Substack LIVE discussion, Charlie Sykes and Matt Lewis break down the horrifying Minneapolis shootings by federal agents under the Trump administration. They discuss:-- The Trump administration's pattern of killing + immediate smears-- How video evidence destroys the ICE narrative, and the potential for mischief when no cameras are around-- Why this feels like a true breaking point for many Americans. -- Risks of escalation to Insurrection Act (Is this the tipping point against authoritarian tactics? Or will the chaos ladder continue?)-- Second Amendment hypocrisy, & the NRA's surprising response-- And MUCH more!Subscribe to Matt Lewis on Substack: https://mattklewis.substack.com/Support Matt Lewis at Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/mattlewisFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/MattLewisDCTwitter: https://twitter.com/mattklewisInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mattlewisreels/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVhSMpjOzydlnxm5TDcYn0A– Who is Matt Lewis? –Matt K. In this urgent and unsettling episode of the Chuck ToddCast, Chuck argues that America is in the midst of a historic “Great Unraveling,” marked by the collapse of trust, consent, and the basic social contract that has held the country together for generations. He examines a chilling series of events in Minneapolis—two fatal shootings by federal agents in three weeks, including the killing of Alex Pretti, who was legally carrying a firearm—raising profound questions about accountability, constitutional rights, and whether the federal government can still be trusted to tell the truth when video evidence directly contradicts official accounts. As administration officials stumble through indefensible explanations, Chuck connects the domestic breakdown to a broader global rupture: allies like Canada openly describing relations with the U.S. as “ruptured,” the post–World War II rules-based order splintering, science and public health consensus eroding, and political power being wielded through favoritism and fear. The episode paints a stark picture of a country growing weaker, more isolated, and more vulnerable—not because of fate, but because unraveling is a process, and it’s happening in real time. Then, documentary filmmaker Adam Bhala Lough joins the Chuck ToddCast for a provocative, darkly funny, and unsettling conversation about AI, power, and the people building the future faster than anyone can regulate it. Lough unpacks the thinking behind his documentary Deepfaking Sam Altman, exploring why artificial intelligence inspires both awe and terror, how tech elites quietly prepare for social backlash, and why many of the skills we once told young people to master—like coding—may soon be obsolete. From Silicon Valley’s obsession with immortality and bunker-building to the fear that any job done on a computer could disappear within a few years, the discussion confronts what happens when innovation outruns accountability. The episode also dives deep into Sam Altman’s mystique, Silicon Valley’s moral blind spots, and how fear—of China, regulation, or losing dominance—is used to shape public debate around AI. Lough explains how deepfakes are made, why AI-driven scams are about to explode, and what lawmakers fundamentally misunderstand about regulating rapidly evolving technology. Ultimately, this conversation argues that the antidote to AI anxiety isn’t panic or denial—but transparency, literacy, and a serious public reckoning with who controls the tools reshaping human society. Finally, Chuck weighs in on the political disaster that is unfolding for Republicans, hops into the ToddCast Time Machine to draw parallels between modern America and Bloody Sunday in Northern Ireland in the 70’s and answers listeners’ question in the “Ask Chuck” segment. The National Guard has now been called in. Alex Jeffrey Pretti was apprehended, pepper sprayed, tackled by half a dozen federal police officers (border patrol) in the streets of Minneapolis, disarmed, then shot what appears to be 10 or 11 times. While you may not support his politics, he has the right to carry a gun and a right to protest. Thus far there is no evidence that he was committing any violent act. The police shooting the man once he was disarmed is seen in multiple angles of video. While the police claim one of the reasons is due to his ID being inaccessible, that is impossible to know in the moment and doesn't justify shooting and killing someone. Like the Renee Good situation, it's clear this will snowball and will likely involve major unrest as the state appears to be manufacturing a Civil War scenario in order to bring in further restrictive emergency orders. You're allowed to protest. You're allowed to carry a gun on you. Since when are conservatives supporting a police state which is by definition a "bigger government?" You can be against the manufactured mass migration crisis without supporting military police in the streets. This is all part of the agenda as we come out of the WEF in Davos to bring in extreme restrictions and devolve the country into warring factions. This is how according to Orwell you destroy a civilization. From the inside out. Don't fall for it and don't end up being left behind in the reset when they bring in their technocratic policies under the guise of "national security." Stay tuned for more from WAM! Trump will not be waiting around to collect the Venezuelan oil to which he feels entitled. Effective immediately, Trump is directing the energy secretary to execute a plan for Venezuela to surrender as much as 50-million barrels of oil. Trump posted on social media the spoils of his takeover "will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, as President of the United States of America, to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States!" We welcome Mr. Global aka Matt Randolph to explain. He is the principal partner of Sentinel Energy and an oil and gas expert. John Rothmann, our presidential historian and political analyst will join to talk politics. On Sunday evening the New York Federal Reserve made another gigantic infusion of cash into one or more Wall Street banks. Our friends at DCreport.org, co-founded by David Cay Johnston, have been reporting on cash infusions into big Wall Street Banks. First it was 17 billion the day after Christmas and this week, DCReport found that after “more than five years with little to no cash infusions from the New York Fed, one or more of the big Wall Street banks has been requiring gigantic infusions of cash since Halloween.” We will get all the details on what could possibly be happening in the banking industry and how it could affect you. Economic expert, legal scholar and whistleblower on the Keating Five, Professor, Bill Black will join us. Then, we will save the planet with Eco-journalist, Belinda Waymouth. She has new details on ways to reduce microplastic ingestion and a heartwarming story of humans going to great lengths to help bears survive. “It's The Planet, Stupid!” Is back.

The Fathers do not speak gently about what we like to call small sins. They expose them as seeds of death planted quietly in the heart. What appears minor in the mind becomes lethal in communion. A thought of irritation. A private judgment. A silent refusal to justify the other. These are not harmless interior movements. They are choices. They shape the heart long before they surface in words or actions. Abba Poimen cuts straight through our self deception. Hatred of evil does not begin with outrage at what is wrong in others. It begins with the hatred of my own sin and the justification of my brother. Until that happens everything else is theater. We think we hate evil when in fact we are protecting our ego. We think we are zealous for righteousness when we are only defending an image of ourselves that needs someone else to be wrong. The Fathers are relentless because they know how the mind works. A God loving soul begins to feel anger not because it is pure but because it is awakening. As the heart starts to turn toward God the soul becomes sensitive to injustice. But this sensitivity is dangerous. It can become poison if it is not purified by love. What begins as a reaction to evil quickly becomes hatred of the person. The Fathers insist that this is where knowledge of God dies. Hatred and the knowledge of God cannot coexist in the same heart. The moment I consent to hatred I lose sight of God even if I continue to speak His name and defend His truth. This is not theoretical. It is experiential. The soul darkens. Prayer dries up. The heart becomes rigid. The neighbor becomes an object. God who now dwells in that neighbor is no longer seen. Abba Isaac presses the knife deeper. Do not hate the sinner because you too are guilty. Hatred reveals that love has already departed. And where love is absent God is absent. This is not moralism. It is ontology. God is love. To lose love is to lose God. We imagine that our resentment is justified. We imagine that our anger is righteous. But the Fathers tell us to weep instead. Weep for the sinner. Pray for him. Not because his sin is small but because hatred destroys you faster than his sin destroys him. The devil mocks all of us. Why then do we join him in mocking our brother. Compassion is not weakness. It is participation in the way God bears the world. The story of Nicephoros is terrifying because it shows where unrepented interior sins lead. A friendship shattered by something never healed. A priest who offers the Bloodless Sacrifice while harboring rancor. A refusal to forgive that hardens over time. Nothing dramatic at first. No public scandal. Just silence. Avoidance. The turning away of the eyes. But this silent sin grows until it devours everything. At the moment of martyrdom when crowns are already prepared rancor proves stronger than torture. The priest who endured the rack cannot endure humility. He would rather deny Christ than forgive his brother. This is the end of so called minor sins. They hollow out the heart until there is nothing left to stand on when the final test comes. Nicephoros on the other hand does nothing extraordinary by worldly standards. He begs. He weeps. He humbles himself. He refuses to protect his pride. He places communion above justice as he understands it. And this love becomes his martyrdom. The Fathers make the conclusion unavoidable. It is not ascetic feats or heroic endurance that reconcile us to God but love of neighbor. Without it everything collapses. Prayer becomes noise. Zeal becomes violence. Faith becomes an empty confession. The Evergetinos does not allow us to hide behind abstractions. God has taken up residence in the other. Every thought against my brother is a wound in my own heart. Every refusal to forgive is a refusal of communion. The tragedy is not that we fall but that we excuse what hardens us. The minor sins we tolerate in the mind become the walls that separate us from God. And the only way back is the way Nicephoros walked. Downward. Exposed. Unarmed. Choosing love even when it costs everything. --- Text of chat during the group: 00:04:15 Fr. Charbel Abernethy: Page 326 Hypothesis XLI Volume II 00:12:33 Fr. Bongani Bingwa speaks to journalist Ufrieda Ho from FixLocal about a grassroots crime-fighting initiative in Orange Farm, south of Johannesburg. In a community too often overlooked and under-policed, over 400 volunteer patrollers have stepped up to protect their neighbourhoods, walking or cycling through the streets in reflective vests, acting as the eyes and ears of the police. Unarmed and unpaid, these men and women are tackling gangsterism, drug abuse, and gender-based violence head-on. Backed by local businesses and supported by the non-profit RADA, the initiative is not just about safety, it’s about dignity, ownership, and hope. Ho explores how this movement is transforming lives and showing what’s possible when communities take the lead. 702 Breakfast with Bongani Bingwa is broadcast on 702, a Johannesburg based talk radio station. *(Disclaimer: The content in this video is intended for educational and informational purposes only)*Aurora, Colorado — On May 12, 2025, about 3 p.m., Aurora Police Department received a 911 call about a suspicious person trespassing at an offsite airport parking lot in the 19900 block of East 56th Avenue. The caller reported there was a male on the property checking vehicle door handles and refusing to leave. An Aurora police patrol officer responded about 5:15 p.m. Once at the scene, staff members reported the suspect was still on the property and was becoming more aggressive with employees. The officer located the suspect, later identified as 32-year-old Rashad Terrelle Johnson, and attempted to speak with him. About one minute later, Johnson charged the officer and there was a fight. Aurora911 received additional calls from people at the parking lot reporting that an officer needed help. The officer attempted to use less lethal devices to gain control of Johnson. Those attempts were unsuccessful. The officer also gave Johnson multiple commands, but Johnson refused to follow the officer's directions, and an officer-involved shooting occurred. Additional officers responded and provided first aid to Johnson until medical responders arrived at the scene. Johnson was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Johnson died shortly after his arrival at the hospital. The officer also was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries he sustained during the fight.=================================Subscribe to Shots Fired Podcast Here:➡️ YouTube: @shotsfiredpodcast50 ==============Ways to reach the Shots Fired Podcast Team:==============
It's Tuesday, May 20th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Fulani Muslim killed 15 unarmed Nigerian Christians On Saturday, May 17th, armed Fulani Muslim militia opened fire on Agatu Christians in Benue State, Nigeria, killing 15 unarmed men. Throughout that North Central region, the Fulani have also killed 159 Christian residents over the last 40 days, according to TruthNigeria.com. Pray for Christians in Nigeria, suffering the most severe violence in the world today. Romania turns left after election interference On Sunday, Romania has taken the centrist-left position with the election of a new president named Nicușor Dan. Dan is supportive of Romania's participation in the European Union, and has made moves to approve the homosexual/transgender movement in his country. The more conservative candidate, George-Nicolae Simion, lost the election in a vote of 54% to 46%. Romania is the second largest Eastern European country by population. The mainstream media is interpreting this election as an international rejection of the Trump agenda. The back story is that Călin Georgescu, the conservative in the first round of the Romanian presidential election last December, garnered the most votes among the six presidential candidates at that time. After his opponents claimed that Russia had influenced the election through TikTok accounts, Romanian government officials detained Georgescu, canceled that election, and re-set it for May 18th. Tens of thousands of Romanians protested in the streets back in March. At the time, Elon Musk said, “They just arrested the person who won the most votes in the Romanian presidential election. This is messed up.” Most and least benevolent countries According to this year's Gallup World Happiness Report, the most benevolent countries in the world, judged by donations and volunteer hours, are Indonesia, the United States, Kenya, Gambia, United Arab Emirates, Ireland, Canada, and New Zealand. The least benevolent countries are Afghanistan, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco. Biden announces advanced prostate cancer Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an "aggressive form" of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones, reports CBS News. On Sunday, President Trump posted on social media that he and First Lady Melania Trump are "saddened to hear about Joe Biden's recent medical diagnosis." Appearing on MSNBC's “Morning Joe” on Monday, former Obama health advisor Dr. Zeke Emanuel said the cancer is so advanced, he has had it for many years. SCARBOROUGH: “Doesn't it take some time for prostate cancer to develop to a point where it would spread to the bones?” EMANUEL: “He's had this for many years, maybe even a decade, growing there and spreading.” Dr. Emanuel explained how serious Biden's prostate cancer truly is. EMANUEL: “That Gleason score, that score is from 2 up to 10, and he's at a 9. That means that the cancer doesn't look normal. It looks very abnormal.” Appearing on Fox News with Jesse Waters, talk show host Hugh Hewitt was incredulous. HEWITT: “This is the fourth time, in a little over 100 years, that a Democratic president -- Woodrow Wilson, FDR, John F. Kennedy and now Joe Biden, have hidden crucial details about their health as Commander-in-Chief from the American people. Ronald Reagan did not do that. “And it just astonishes me that in a free republic, we have to worry about our leaders telling us whether they're healthy or not.” Supremes allows Trump to revoke protection for thousands of illegal Venezuelans On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling allowing the Trump administration to deport 350,000 Venezuelans who are presently living in the U.S. on what they call a “humanitarian parole,” reports NBC News. Christian camp sues over foolish transgender mandates The State of Colorado is threatening to shut down a Christian Camp called Idrahaje -- short for “I'd Rather Have Jesus.” The Colorado Department of Early Childhood has refused to grant the camp a religious exemption concerning its transgender policies. This would require the camp to allow boys, pretending to be girls, to sleep, shower, and dress with female campers. The camp has sued the state, with representation from Alliance Defending Freedom. The camp disciples 2,500 to 3,000 students each year with the mission to “win souls to Jesus Christ through the spreading of the Gospel.” Camp Idrahaje has complied with all regulations until this year when the Colorado government officials released new gender identity rules that became effective on February 14, 2025. 96% of atheists embrace homosexual/transgender agenda The most likely group in America to support the homosexual/transgender agenda are atheists with 96% professing support. By contrast, 70% of white Evangelical Protestants oppose the lifestyle. Psalm 14:1 describes the atheist this way: "The fool has said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works.” Mother loses right to disciple daughter Liberty Counsel is defending a mother in the state of Maine who has lost the right to guide the religious upbringing of her 11-year-old girl in a custody case. This includes taking her daughter to Calvary Chapel services on Sunday. A state district judge has ruled against the mother, citing “The ‘fear mongering,' paranoia, and anxiety taught by Calvary Chapel has, more likely than not, already had an impact on [the daughter's] childhood development.” Expert testimony concluded that Calvary Chapel is a cult, the church's pastor a “charismatic” speaker, who spoke “authoritatively” in his messages, and that he asserted his messages were objective truth. Liberty Counsel is appealing the case to the Maine Supreme Court. They still persecute people who preach about Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 2:14-16 says, “For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Judeans, who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are contrary to all men, forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.” Housing prices sag Since June 2022, housing prices are sagging in some metro areas around the U.S. — 22.8% in the Austin market, 9.9% in the Phoenix market, 9.2% in the San Francisco market, 9.1% in the San Antonio Market, 7.3% in the Denver market, and 6.7% in the Dallas Market. The Consumer Price Index has also risen about 10% over that period of time. Moody's downgraded America's financial rating And finally, in a year-over-year comparison, the U.S. government is still breaking records for fiscal expenditures running 10% over Fiscal Year 2024. Moody's has downgraded the U.S. as a long-term issuer of bonds by one notch, ending a perfect rating for America over the last 108 years. No longer does the U.S, government get a Aaa rating, the highest level available. Now, it's an Aa1. Moody's noted that the downgrade "reflects the increase over more than a decade in government debt and interest payment ratios to levels that are significantly higher than similarly rated sovereigns.” The rating organization added that: “Successive U.S. administrations and Congress have failed to agree on measures to reverse the trend of large annual fiscal deficits and growing interest costs.” Another independent rating service, named Fitch, downgraded the United States in 2023.
