His latest single, 'Till The End (For You), celebrates the idea that true love is always worth fighting for. Blending pop and R&B with subtle EDM influences, the track delivers both emotional depth and an uplifting energy.  The song came together during a period of creative exploration. While Pran was still discovering the direction he wanted to take with his album, his manager shared several reference tracks that helped guide the process. Inspired by those songs, Pran began shaping his own sound, and the hook quickly became something he could not shake. In the chorus, he sings:  Cause I know you would fight for me Cause I see that you trusted me Cause I saw that you care for me  The track captures the strength and security of real love and the fear of losing something that feels unbreakable. Its production creates an energetic, comforting atmosphere, while Pran's light and airy vocals reflect the weightless feeling of a love that feels endless.  “When you have love, you have to fight for it,” Pran says.  As a songwriter, Pran often explores the many layers of love. His previous single, All I Need Is Love, focused on heartbreak, while 'Till The End (For You) continues the story from a different perspective. This new release represents the next chapter, where love has been found and is now something worth protecting.  “This song is connected to my previous single because while that one was about heartbreak, the character found love in the end,” he explains. “Now the character is in a fulfilling relationship and he's continuing to fight for it.”  This marks only Pran's second official single, and he is excited to finally share it with listeners. While he initially felt some anxiety releasing his earlier work, he also felt a sense of relief and freedom once the music reached the world. Being able to release the music he truly envisioned and present it authentically has been a rewarding experience.  “I love the freedom of being able to release music without any restrictions,” he says.  Pran's album is set for release later this year. While love will remain a central theme in his music, he also plans to explore new subjects and expand his creative range.  “I hope people enjoy the music and have a great time listening to it,” he adds.  'Till The End (For You) is available now on all major streaming platforms. BrownTown debriefs"No Cop Academy: The Documentary" (2023) with campaign organizers, interviewees, and producer/curator of the film, Debbie Southorn and Destiny Harris. The team reunites to discuss the creation, process, and impact of the one-hour SoapBox-produced film and the #NoCopAcademy campaign more broadly. The adult-supported, youth directed coalition and campaign from 2017-2019 was a grassroots effort demanding the city of Chicago stop the construction of a then-$95 million dollar cop academy in West Garfield Park and fund youth and communities instead. The city ultimately decided to move forward with the project, however, the lessons learned and strategies seeded would prove fruitful for future campaigns in Chicago and movements across the country. The gang unpacks how Chicago youth changed the organizing landscape and movement media supported in naming, framing, and resisting power, both forging a path to the city's current political moment. BrownTown and guests compare and contrast the struggles of the late 2010's to what our movements are up against in this new fascist reality. After a wonderful holiday to Canada in October (what an amazing country and people), I'm back with a combined October/November edition of UP! This episode kicks of with some powerhouse pop anthems from Joe Bermudez ft. Dana McKeon and Ashley Paul ft. Deniece Pearson. Division 4 delivers two punchy remixes for HUNTR/X and BLACKPINK respectively. It's great to see Martha Wash back on the scene with her version of "Everybody Dance Now" given a killer mix by Robbie Carrigan. The always impressive Russ Rich and Andy Allder deliver what I consider to be the best remix of Taylor Swift's "The Fate Of Ophelia". I went to see Ricky Martin in concert in Melbourne in November. I have seen him on two previous occasions and he is phenomenal in concert. As an homage, I've included one of my favourite songs of his "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely" with Christina Aguilera.. The remix God, DJ Mark of Dirty Disco fame features two stand out mixes here for Maxxie LaWow and his own private version of "Music Lifts Me Up" which was a big hit back in the 2000's for Drive ft.
