GRANT NAPEAR was the Voice of the Sacramento Kings for 32 Years and a top-rated radio show host for 26 years. Then one tweet. “ALL LIVES MATTER…EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!” This was part of a response to former Kings Player DeMarcus Cousins who asked Grant directly "What's your take on BLM?" Napear stands by his tweet, but recognizes the timing of the tweet not being good. Cancel Culture reared its ugly head and now instead of getting ready for another season of Kings Basketball and preparing to go on the air at Sports 1140 KHTK, Napear is now in Miami, Florida. In today's episode of Experience the Buzz, Host Steve Buzzard catches up with Grant "This was surreal for me. For years we worked alongside each other for three different entities (1240 KSAC, Sports 1140 KHTK, Sacramento Kings), but for the first time ever we got to have this amazing conversation. It was an honor." Our conversation hits THREE areas: Segment ONE
IAIN FRASER has had an amazing SOCCER ⚽️ journey! The Scottish-born Fraser was a top player of the Sacramento Knights of the Continental Indoor Soccer League. He won Defender of the Year and Coach of the Year on two occasions and was a part of the 1999 Championship team. Before his arrival, Fraser spent many years in the indoor soccer arena. And along with that, he played in the MLS as a member of the New England Revolution. At age 30, he got the opportunity to play for the Canadian National Team. And the stories he has to tell ... BUCKLE YOUR SEATBELT!In today's episode of Experience the Buzz, Host Steve Buzzard catches up with Fraser"You knew what you were getting with Iain. He was a tremendous player, a tremendous leader and didn't hold anything back. That rubbed some people the wrong way. But what I liked about Iain is he was a pretty simple guy when it came to expectations. If you didn't step up, Iain was not afraid to let you know." Our conversation hits FOUR areas: Segment ONE
Joe Davidson is synonymous with high school sports in the Sacramento area. Since 1988 (that's 33 years), Davidson has covered local sports for the Sacramento Bee. He is currently a Senior Writer for the paper and stands as the longest tenured reporter. Today is one of those rare occasions where the man who is always asking the questions gets to be the guest and talk about his work.In today's episode of Experience the Buzz, Host Steve Buzzard reunites with his co-host of 1240 KSAC's "The Prep Page," a high school show back in the 90's. "Joe is respected by ALL. There isn't a coach, a player, or a player's family that doesn't know Joe." Our conversation hits FOUR areas: Segment ONE Joe talks about growing up in Half Moon Bay and the start of his interest in wanting to write stories for a local newspaper. That led to his persistence in finding his first newspaper job at the Davis Enterprise.Segment TWO is all about Joe's time at the Sacramento Bee. His move to the Bee was very similar to the Davis Enterprise and as a young writer, he soaked it all in amongst his mentors. Joe also goes into detail about the difference between print media, and TV/Radio media as well as the relationship between the two. Segment THREE starts with a question. "What is your secret sauce to longevity in your job?" That is followed by an extensive conversation about Joe's transition to becoming a beat writer for the Sacramento Kings for a few years in the early 2000's. It wasn't long until Davidson was returning to the place he loves and knows best ... HIGH SCHOOL! Davidson also takes on the question about the beating that journalism as a profession has taken over the past few years. Segment FOUR is dedicated to the BEST of the BEST in high school. Players and teams as seen through Davidson's eyes. We finish out with Rapid Fire

Most discussion around discourse among Jamaica's national heroes whose life and work was throughout the 20th century usually entails Alexander Bustamante and Norman Washington Manley as their roles as president of Jamaica's two main political parties in the 1940's and beyond. However, in this episode we looked at discourse that took place between Norman Manley and another national hero - Marcus Mosiah Garvey. Marcus Garvey, then a councillor in the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation and Norman Manley, at the time a barrister who was developing a reputation as one of the best in the region, would go head to head in 1932 at a KSAC meeting over a gas station dispute. Even before that, both men would meet in a legal issue where Garvey was alleged to have been married to two women at the same time, a fact unknown to both “wives”, one of the wives, Amy Ashwood, brought a legal case against him. February 2012 has been a good month for stock. Yet Bruce takes on naysayers like David Stockman, Lakshman Achuthan (Chief Operations Officer of the Economic Cycle Research Institute), and Harry S Dent, who say that there is a disconnect between the actual economy and the direction of the S&P 500. Will Baby Boomers see another economic crisis?

Times Journalist Gretchen Morgenson, say not only that it can happen again, it WILL happen again!See much more on this story at our website at www.StraightTalkWealth.com

On this Historic Day, the 40th anniversary of a man landing on the moon, Cast in Wax celebrates by being fairly irreverant. Although, one of the hosts is notably silent on the matter... sort of. Happy Moon Day! Featuring: Guard Duty, Series 4, Episode 10: "Golden Opportunity," wherein we learn that one of the Guard was MURDERED between episodes; Rory St. John's This Day in History and update Where Are They Now In History...which I bet you can guess the topic of; a Frank Allen Interview with Patsy Kennedy, of the KSAC radio show, Don't Believe It; Epic Echoes, Series 3, Episode 11: "They Are A-Changin'," which marks the Flashpack's FIRST encounter with the Vampiros; a lack of Listener Mail; babbling kookiness for the four hosts. BLAH! Download it now! AND, send your comments to castinwax@gmail.com!
