S.U.P.E.R. is a collection of digital resources organized to reflect the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts. This collection not only provides a list of educational digital resources but also functions as a beginning template which teachers can easily duplicate, personalize, and maintain themselves. Livebinders is such a powerful tool for teachers and students and we are always excited when we are able to share exemplary practices with the use of Livebinders! This week we have an amazing team of librarians and Tina Schneider, Livebinders co-founder, joining us to share their S.U.P.E.R. Livebinder (Sharing Useful Professional Electronic Resources Supporting Common Core State Standards) with tips on how we can use Livebinders to organize our resources to help teachers address Common Core standards. S.U.P.E.R. is a collection of digital resources organized to reflect the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts. This collection not only provides a list of educational digital resources but also functions as a beginning template which teachers can easily duplicate, personalize, and maintain themselves. Classroom 2.0 LIVE webinar, "Livebinders as ePortfolios for Student Career Exploration" with guest presenters: Karma Yantzie and her 8th gr. students, Tina Schneider (Livebinders co-developer), and Mike Fisher. Karma Yantzie experimented with Career Development students in 7th grade (now 8th graders) with amazing results. Karma will discuss how the project came about, how students were organized into teams and explored careers, writing and new technologies to generate a portfolio of artifacts of their learning. Tina will provide a quick overview of Livebinders and Mike will explain the 2014 Livebinder Digital Portfolio competition in which Karma and her amazing students were chosen as a Top 10 Nominee! We are very excited to have two special guests, Dawna Hatcher and Tina Schneider, joining us for a terrific presentation on the topic of "Bully Binder, Memes and Livebinders." Dawna created a fantastic Livebinder for her students to guide their learning on the topic of bullying through the use of memes and made it public with an intro to teachers inviting them to copy her binder and use/modify it for their own students. She will be sharing how she created her Livebinder, how she implemented the project along with many resources for dealing with bullying and tips she learned along the way. Tina Schneider, co-founder of Livebinders will join us to share some of the wonderful new features that have been added to Livebinders and ways you can be using them in your classroom and as learning resources with other teachers. Dawna teaches Language Arts/Writing Enrichment to 6th, 7th and 8th graders in Dacula Middle School, in the Gwinnett County Public Schools in Georgia.
