In today's world, discipleship doesn't stop at the church doors — it starts where people are already searching. This workshop is designed for pastors and ministry leaders who want to explore how digital tools can enhance—not replace—biblical discipleship. We'll examine how to approach digital outreach missionally and thoughtfully, avoiding gimmicks and staying grounded in the Gospel. Whether you're tech-savvy or just getting started, you'll walk away with a clearer strategy for using digital platforms to not only connect with your community, but also move them toward deeper engagement and discipleship.    Stay informed - Get our newsletter:  http://eepurl.com/hPViAr Get Discipleship.org's premium Podcast Feed: https://disciplemakerspodcast.supercast.com/  Check out the following eBooks from Discipleship.org: -- What Is Church? Citi Wealth Unveils "Citi Sky" – An AI-Powered Member of the Citi Wealth Team, Built Using Google Cloud and Google DeepMind Technologies

What happens when your financial advisor is no longer limited by time, availability, or even geography, but is always there when you need them, ready to listen, respond, and guide you in real time? At Citi's announcement at Google Cloud Next 2026, I sat down with Joe Bonanno, Head of Wealth Intelligence, and Karolina Belwal, Global Head of Data Intelligence and Automation for Citi Wealth, to unpack what could become a defining shift in how wealth management is delivered. The launch of Citi Sky, built in partnership with Google Cloud and powered by Google DeepMind, is not another digital feature layered onto an existing app. It signals a move toward an always-on, conversational, and highly personalized experience that blends human expertise with AI-driven intelligence. What stood out in our conversation was how grounded this initiative is in real-world client behavior. Joe explained how traditional engagement models, whether phone calls, emails, or app notifications, often feel disconnected from what clients actually need in the moment. Life events, changing market conditions, and personal priorities rarely align with scheduled interactions. Citi Sky attempts to close that gap by being present at the exact moment a client has a question, whether that is late at night, between meetings, or during a moment of financial uncertainty. Karolina brought that point to life with a simple but relatable example. As a working parent, she highlighted how difficult it can be to connect with an advisor during the day. Citi Sky allows clients to engage on their own terms, asking questions when it suits them, in a way that feels natural and responsive. That shift from scheduled interaction to on-demand conversation could change how people think about financial guidance altogether. Under the hood, the technology is just as ambitious. Built on Gemini models through Google's enterprise agent platform, Citi Sky combines real-time voice, video, and multilingual capabilities into a single experience. But what makes it interesting is how it moves beyond reacting to questions. The system can anticipate needs, surface insights, and even guide advisors by identifying which clients may require attention during market events. In Joe's words, it becomes a teammate, one that can scale expertise across hundreds of clients while maintaining a sense of personalization. There is also a broader implication here for the industry. Wealth management has long relied on relationships built over time, supported by human intuition and experience. Citi is not replacing that model, but it is extending it. Advisors are still central, yet their reach is amplified by AI that handles routine interactions, summarizes conversations, and provides context before the next client meeting even begins. Of course, this raises familiar questions around trust, governance, and the role of AI in financial decision-making. Citi is clearly aware of that tension, emphasizing secure data foundations, regulatory compliance, and the importance of embedding its Chief Investment Office's institutional knowledge directly into the system. This is not positioned as a generic AI assistant, but as a reflection of Citi's own expertise, delivered through a new interface. What I found most compelling, though, was how both Joe and Karolina kept returning to the human side of the story. Yes, this is about agentic AI and advanced models. Still, it is also about reducing friction, improving access, and helping people answer a simple but powerful question: Am I financially okay? As Citi Sky rolls out to Citigold clients in the U.S., it will be fascinating to see how customers respond and how competitors react. If this model gains traction, it could reshape expectations far beyond wealth management and into every corner of financial services. As we move into the next phase of AI-driven client engagement, are we ready to trust a system that listens, understands, and acts on our financial lives in real time, and how much of that responsibility are we willing to share? Your team might be working hard and still drifting apart, not because they do not care, but because the destination is fuzzy. I dig into a leadership problem I see everywhere: a clear vision in the leader's head that never fully transfers to the team. When that happens, people row in different directions, execution slows down, and culture gets noisy. We explore the Vivid Vision approach from Cameron Herold and why a story-based vision document creates real alignment. Then I walk through Google NotebookLM, a free AI tool that helps you pull together the best sources you already trust such as YouTube videos, documents, slides, web pages, and more. The key is that NotebookLM can answer questions using only your selected materials and even provides citations, which makes it a strong fit for leadership communication, strategic planning, and internal training. The fun part is how fast it produces usable assets: briefing documents, study guides, FAQs, timelines, mind maps, plus audio and video overviews that feel like an explainer. That means your SOPs, HR policies, onboarding notes, and “state of the union” messages can become clear, watchable content in minutes instead of weeks. If you want to scale clarity across your organization, this is a practical way to do it with AI, without losing your voice.Subscribe for more ways to make AI simple, share this with a leader who needs clearer alignment, and leave a review so more teams can find it.Support the show

Real client case studies include a bakery in Georgia invisible on Google from two miles away, and a massage therapy business paying $16–$32 per click for keywords they could rank for organically. But the real drama unfolds as they dive into the explosive fight between Denny and Jams that occurred during their break. What begins as casual catching-up quickly transforms into a fascinating exploration of how we apologize - or more accurately, how we fail at apologizing. Using Google's five elements of an effective apology as a framework, the hosts hilariously dissect their own shortcomings when it comes to admitting fault. Denny struggles with naming specific offenses and tends toward conditional apologies. Jams freely admits she refuses to acknowledge wrongdoing when apologizing to her fiance'. Amanda, perhaps the most emotionally intelligent of the three, watches the chaos unfold with knowing eyes. The conversation reveals universal truths about human relationships - how we experience the same events differently, our resistance to taking full responsibility, and the healing power of a genuine "I'm sorry." How do we measure and assess productivity? What impact does remote working have on productivity? And what about artificial intelligence? In this episode of It's Not That Simple, UK economist and remote work specialist Nicholas Bloom explores the dilemmas of modern management. At the start of the 20th century, in coal mining yards, «it was enough to count how many shovelfuls a worker dug per hour». Today, aside from a few exceptions (such as call centres), these kinds of metrics are no longer suitable for measuring productivity in an increasingly tech-driven world.Using Google as an example, the William Eberle Professor of Economics at Stanford University explains how measurement formulas have become far more diffuse and complex. Companies like Google measure productivity by analysing «the number of new apps or products delivered, the teams involved in development, the hours spent to complete production... and even then, it's far from ideal», he says. «Measuring productivity is extremely difficult in the digital era».Bloom contends that explaining why some countries remain less productive is far more straightforward: working hours or remote work are not the issue – rather, the issue is management.«Working from home two days a week doesn't reduce productivity. Plus, it affords companies a significant advantage: employees are less likely to quit, and high employee turnover is a big expense», he explains.Having conducted comparative studies of management practices across different sectors and countries, Bloom highlights the effectiveness of North American companies' strategic aggressiveness: «They measure everything, set ambitious targets», and reward results quickly. They discuss the value of government resources, the significance of helping others, and the evolution of Matt's career from writing books to building a supportive online community for aspiring entrepreneurs. In this conversation, Matthew Lesko shares invaluable insights on how entrepreneurs can navigate government resources to find support for their businesses. He emphasizes the importance of utilizing local assistance programs, understanding the nuances of grants and contracts, and leveraging training programs to enhance business growth. Lesko also highlights the availability of free healthcare and legal resources, encouraging entrepreneurs to seek out community support rather than relying on costly consultants. If your organization uses Google Workspace you have access to Google Groups. Kind of like a listserv but so much better. What are Google Groups? If your nonprofit uses Google Workspace, you can use Google Groups to manage tasks via an email group, with granular controls and monitoring if you need it. Google Groups can improve security for email addresses like “donate@mynonprofit” or “info@mynonprofit” if that email directs to a group and is not its own account that's credentials could be hacked. Director of IT Consulting Steve Longenecker explains the ins and outs of using Google Groups and some issues to consider including Google's Fedramp certification if you are trying to use Google Groups with federal workers. Since few MSPs can help nonprofits using Google Workspace, please contact us if you have more questions we can help with. We know that so many nonprofit startups start using Google Workspace because it is easy. Some Key Takeaways:Google Groups works like a listserv, allowing multiple people to view and respond to group emails right from their inbox. No new tools needed like slack or discord. Keeping it simple can help your team or volunteers engage easily.Google Groups allows granular permissions and allows a manager to assign certain email threads to specific team members, so you can make sure all donation inquiries get a quick response, for example. Managers can get valuable insight into email thread status and team members can easily collaborate without checking and back-checking to see who is taking which inquiry.Google Groups can be useful in keeping volunteer groups organized and engaged. You can assign any email to Google Groups, making a partly external volunteer team more functional and making it easier for busy volunteers to participate, right from their inbox.Google Groups has many security features that make it preferable to listservs. And Listerv tools are becoming harder to find and manage. Everyone uses email – if you already use Google Workspace you have a listserv tool already available to you, for free, that has many features and security that listservs just don't have.Google Groups is relatively easy to set up and manage, and Google provides lots of helpful how-to tutorials and advice that are accessible to non-technical managers. If you are trying to use Google Groups with federal employees and encountering resistance, be aware that Google has Fedramp certification. This means your federal friends are allowed to use it from a security perspective.Google Groups is a tool you should consider if you are struggling to manage a team or volunteer group. It is easy to get started and easy to expand as you learn the capabilities. We know that few MSPs serving nonprofits are experts in Google Workspace. Community IT has developed expertise in Google Workspace support since we serve nonprofits exclusively, and so many nonprofits use this platform.  _______________________________Start a conversation :) Register to attend a webinar in real time, and find all past transcripts at https://communityit.com/webinars/ email Carolyn at cwoodard@communityit.com on LinkedIn Thanks for listening.
