This episode features Matt Cable sharing his story of surviving cancer not once, but twice. He currently has a thriving athletic career in addition to having a beautiful family even after he and his wife were told by medical professionals having children was improbable. The reoccurring theme throughout this episode is that Matt undoubtedly beats the odds time and time again. Matt is a retired USAF veteran, a member of the grid league Tampa Bay Brigade, and appeared on NBC's Titan Games with The Rock. The romantic in me loved hearing the story of how Matt and Ensley met (she is also a cancer survivor!), how she stayed by his side through his second cancer journey while battling her own and has never left his side. Her story is also one of selflessness, grit, and overcoming any and all obstacles. Again, he was placed on life support due a fungal infection. Matt Cable joined the Montana National Guard shortly after graduating from high school because he just wanted to move on with his life. Little did he know at the time that saving his own life would be by far the biggest challenge he would face in the years to come. But he did live. In fact, Cable is thriving. And in 2022, he won two gold medals, a silver, and four bronze in the Invictus Games.In this edition of :Veterans Chronicles," Sgt.
