Hey, Hey, Friends! It's deep into August, and school is beginning across the country. Long summer days are winding down, and the carefree feel of summer is waving goodbye. For some of us we cannot wait to kiss the summer heart goodbye, get back to a schedule, and for some of us our hearts are far from ready to wave goodbye to these hazy and sunny summer days.Today we are going to dive into anger. For some of us, anger is not in our DNA; it takes a lot to push us over the edge to get angry. For others, anger is a bit more of a challenge, and it can creep up without notice when a car cuts you off in traffic, a text or call, or a situation that pushes your buttons can hit the anger button. Anger can also arise from social injustices, watching the news, an action of a partner, and the list can go on.

Abstract: Expansion microscopy is an approach of super-resolution fluorescence microscopy that does not yet achieve the precision of nanoscopy techniques such as single-molecule light microscopy (SMLM). Here, we developed an iterative ultrastructure expansion microscopy approach (iU-ExM), which now matches the SMLM resolution as demonstrated using standard references such as the nuclear pores. Applicable to both cells and tissues, iU-ExM allows a broad research community to access high precision super-resolution microscopy. Copy rights belong to original authors. This week on Finding Your Bliss, we have a show devoted to preserving fertility, even in the face of cancer. Life Coach Judy Librach sits down with Oncofertility specialist Dr. Karen Glass from the CReATe Fertility Centre, and also with a very happy patient who was able to freeze her embryos before cancer treatment and is now pregnant with her first child! Jessica was diagnosed with breast cancer at 33-years old and was told she needed to have surgery and treatment to remove it. After surgery, she was sent to the CReATe Fertility Clinic in Toronto to have her eggs retrieved as the cancer treatment could have hurt her ovarian reserve. She went to see Dr. Karen Glass at the CReATe Fertility Centre, and they decided to freeze her embryos instead of her eggs. As she puts it,

Larry Mercey is a seminal figure in the Canadian Country music scene. He started out as a solo act, singing on radio in the late 1950s. His Mother documented every show he played in her own journal & that journal of hers was instrumental in inspiring Larry to write his autobiography "Have Mercey My first 60 years making music". In this episode, we discuss how he started out & ultimately brought his two brothers into the act, becoming The Mercey Brothers. The band of brothers performed together for 30 years & won multiple Juno awards, have been inducted into the Canadian Country Music HOF....among other prestigious accolades! The Mercey Brothers were a well oiled machine when it came to managing the business side of the music business & enjoyed a very successful career together. When it comes to making decisions about your personal and professional life, it’s important to give yourself permission to follow your dreams. That’s one of the things Mercey Livingston and I are talking about in today’s podcast. Mercey is a freelance wellness writer and coach, whose life changed gears when she took a leap of faith by leaving grad school to move to NYC to join the editorial staff at Well+Good. There she was able to pursue her passion for writing and wellness. Here are some of my takeaways from our conversation: Allow yourself to lean into your interests and passions -- it’s there where you’ll find happiness; Technology has transformed the fitness world by making fitness more accessible; When it comes to wellness trends, make sure you’re evaluating what works specifically for you; Healthy living means discovering the things that make you feel your best, and living in a conscious way to support that feeling every day. Mercey’s approach to holistic health and living sets a positive tone to everything she does. I love the reminder that the food you eat, the relationships you cultivate, and how you move your body, all play a role in your individual wellness. Mercey Livingston is a freelance wellness writer, content consultant and Holistic Integrative Nutrition Coach. Her idea of a perfect day starts with a high-vibe sweat session at a fitness studio, followed by a matcha latte or organic coffee and brunch with friends. Mercey previously worked full-time on the editorial staff at Well+Good in NYC (where she got a crash course in all things wellness and "woo-woo") and is now a regular contributor to Well+Good, Business Insider, Prevention.com, and Eat This, Not That!. You can often find her digging into the latest wellness books, novels from Reese Witherspoon's Bookclub (she's the new Oprah!), or blogging about her latest wellness obsessions and nutrition tips at merceylivingstonwellness.com. You can connect with Mercey via her website, Instagram and blog.

You know Sarah Mercey’s work: Ratatouille, Ferdinand, Wall-e, Toy Story 3, Brother Bear, Lilo & Stitch, Cars…the list goes on. Sarah is one of the top animators in the industry, and one of few women who've made an impact in the field of film animation. However, her movie choices are not animated, at least not animated in the traditional sense. With her double-bill, Shakespeare in Love and Moulin Rouge, reveals Sarah to be a bit of a romantic with a taste for period pieces and costume dramas. But there is far more to these films than just pretty prose and fancy wardrobes just as there is far more to Sarah than talent, ambition and success. Louis and I have a lot of fun with Sarah and dare I say that we get a bit animated ourselves in this interview.

Destination America's new hit paranormal show GHOSTS IN MY HOUSE (Sundays at 8p) follows homeowners who believe they live in a haunted home, and turn to renowned psychic Nadine Mercey and paranormal investigator Michelle McCay for answers. The series leaves audiences wondering who or what could be lurking in their home! For 20 years, Nadine Mercey worked in real estate. She rose quickly to become one of Canada's top realtors. Her success came from an uncanny ability to intuitively understand the needs and motivations of her clients, the realization of which led to a new life. Soon she was experiencing great vibrational development, becoming a medical intuitive, helping doctors identify illnesses in their patients, naturally helping hundreds of people to feel better.Nadine was the first natural healer in Canada to be certified by insurance companies to operate without the direction of a physician, and the first to be recognized by leading directors and scientists of the Canadian Mental Health Association.Nadine also is a director of the Canadian National Autism Foundation, volunteers at long-term health care facilities in Toronto, works with CEO's of leading teaching hospitals; and is a TV writer, producer, host, and now star of GHOSTS IN MY HOUSE. We are delighted to speak with her!
