Kristy Robinett is a professional psychic medium and author who began seeing spirits at the age of three. When she was eight, the spirit of her deceased grandfather helped her escape from a would-be kidnapper, and it was then that Robinett realized the Other Side wasn't so far away and could be of immense importance to the living. When Kristy was thirteen, she met the most fascinating spirit guide of all, Edgar Allan Poe. Forevermore tells the true story of how the spirit of Edgar Allan Poe helps Kristy fulfill her destiny as a writer and a psychic medium.Far from being the madman he is often portrayed in the media, Poe is an insightful guide and a sleuth with a passion for justice. Working with law enforcement, Kristy and Poe uncover truths of the past--murders, suicides, missing persons--and shed light on the wrongs that have found their way into the present day.In addition to writing and serving clients as a psychic medium, an adult, Robinett has often been called upon by law enforcement to examine cold cases in a new light and from a different angle, including the 2004 murder of Ashley Howley, which Kristy helped solve bringing closure to Howley's traumatized family. This amazing story was portrayed in Investigation Discovery's Restless Souls, which premiered in 2014.Robinett teaches psychic development and paranormal investigating at local colleges near her Michigan home, lectures across the country, and is a regular media commentator. She is the author of It's a Wonderful AfterLife; Messenger Between Worlds: True Stories from a Psychic Medium; Intuitions Oracle; Ghosts of Southeast Michigan; and Michigan's Haunted Legends and Lore.

America's Most Haunted Radio with host Eric Olsen was live last night at 8pE with guest Shannon Bradley Byers on the IPBN radio network. Listen to the podcast right here!Shannon Bradley Byers, the "Paranormal Genealogist," is a paranormal investigator and educator who infuses paranormal investigation with genealogical and historical research, and lectures in the Southeast on how to blend them into a seamless whole. She teaches para-enthusiasts and professionals that the "TV show history" of a location is not always correct and that it is critical for them to do their own research and not take legends at face value.Using examples such as Lavinia Fisher at the Old Charleston Jail, and Pearl Bryan at Bobby Mackey's Music World, Shannon shows how para-entertainment has skewed history and how incorrect the "facts" they supply to their audience and paying paranormal investigators sometimes are, and how incorrect facts can hinder a paranormal investigation.Byers also uses historic metro Atlanta locations to demonstrate how even the most basic facts such as the location of a given event aren't always correct. As former assistant director and department chair for the National Paranormal Society, she has authored many educational articles that are used as training material for members. In 2013 the team she co-founded with her husband in 2003, Timeless Paranormal, was featured in the A DAY TRIP documentary shown on EATV.

On this episode of America's Most Haunted Radio, hosts Eric Olsen and "Haunted Housewife" Theresa Argie speak with the stars of the show and leaders of the Tennessee Wraith Chasers paranormal team, Chris Smith and Steven "Doogie" McDougal. On GHOST ASYLUM, the TWC team hunts down ghosts in the most frightening asylums, sanitariums, penitentiaries and haunted hotspots across the U.S. Stepping into abandoned locations that only the bravest dare enter, the team's goal is not just to conjure paranormal activity but to physically capture restless souls with their custom-created ghost traps.WC founder Christopher Lee Smith was born and raised in Gallatin, Tennessee, and raised a strict Southern Baptist. They are often regarded as malicious spirits, or "wraiths."A skeptic of ghosts in the traditional sense, Chris believes that you die, you are judged, you go to your "long home." The nature of your home depends on your preparations with the "Big Man" upstairs prior to your appointment with the reaper.TWC co-founder Steven "Doogie" McDougal was raised in a historic, and many say haunted, area of Middle Tennessee, and his interest in the paranormal started at a young age. Doogie lives in what he believes is a haunted home with his wife and son, further influencing him to study the paranormal and investigate unexplained phenomenon.

Near-death experiences may be the closest we ever come to knowing what exists on the “other side.” Many of those who have seen the white light say they returned to life with a new sensitivity to the spirit world, and many believe that people who are sensitive enough can glimpse or even enter places – portals – that bridge our realm with the hereafter. In the all-new series GHOST STALKERS, produced for Destination America by Ghost Adventures' Nick Groff, two men who have crossed over explore American locations that are rumored to house doorways to another dimension.Actor Chad Lindberg, best known for his roles in the Fast and the Furious, October Sky, and Supernatural, nearly died at seven-years old and has since possessed a sensitivity to paranormal activity. Renowned paranormal expert, author, and investigator John E.L. Tenney was brought back from the dead at age 17 and has dedicated his career to learning more about what's beyond the white light. The six-episode first season of GHOST STALKERS premiered Sunday, October 19 and now airs at 10pE/9C on Thursdays.
On May 31, 2014, SLENDERMAN went from fictional Internet meme to household word when two 12 year-old Wisconsin girls lured a friend into the woods and stabbed her 19 times in an effort to earn the favor of the faceless, elongated, dark-suited figure. A few days later, an emotionally disturbed 13 year-old girl near Cincinnati attacked her mother with a knife in their kitchen in the guise of Slenderman. These real life homages are all the more disturbing because the creation of the character is readily traceable to writer Eric "Victor Surge" Knudsen on the "Something Awful" Internet forum in 2009. But as the most powerful memes do, this one seeped into the very fiber of online culture to the extent that five years later young girls were willing to kill for it.Interestingly, AMHRadio was ahead of the Slenderman Zeitgeist. On the March 11, 2014 episode with documentary filmmakers JOSH ZEMAN and RACHEL MILLS, whose urban legend films CROPSEY and KILLER LEGENDS expose the terrifying truths behind the myths, we discussed the the Slenderman meme, with Zeman uniquely declaring the character to be the very personification of the Internet. Now Zeman and Mills return to discuss developments in the Slenderman saga and what may lie ahead.

What's it like to renovate a haunted "castle"? That's what award winning documentary THE CASTLE PROJECT is all about. The historic Croke-Patterson Mansion in Denver has long been rumored to be haunted by the cries of disembodied infants. The original owner built the Chateauesque home in 1891 and lived there for six months before falling victim to the Silver Crash of 1893. Ill fortune visited subsequent owners during the 120-year-long history of the house as they experienced otherworldly phenomena that included apparitions, whispering voices, peculiar odors, failed exorcisms and guard dogs jumping through windows to their death. When architect Brian Higgins and partners purchased the home for renovation, they were skeptical about its tragic past. But soon workers began to experience sightings of ghostly children, unusual temperature changes and whispering voices. Workers fell ill and one team member died while an unexplained fire threatened the project's completion.Paranormal investigators were brought in and they identify several generations of spirits who remained trapped in the house. Higgins had the foresight to begin filming, and after several hair-raising nights spent alone in the building, he began to wonder if there was a reason why souls never checked out at the Croke-Patterson Mansion.Brian Higgins (Director / Producer) is an award winning architect, filmmaker and Emmy nominated television host and cinematographer. Born and raised in Denver, he rediscovered the Croke Patterson Mansion, bought it, designed the renovation and now owns the hotel. He recognized the opportunity for filming a documentary and THE CASTLE PROJECT was born.

Written and directed by young Regina, Canada, filmmaker Lowell Dean, WOLFCOP is a horror-comedy that follows Lou Garou (Leo Fafard), an alcoholic cop who tends to black out and wake up in unfamiliar surroundings. However, lately things have taken a strange turn. Crime scenes seem oddly familiar, Lou's senses are heightened, and when the full moon is out, he's a rage-fueled werewolf. WOLFCOP is one cop's quest to become a better man... one transformation at a time.CineCoup's debut feature film WOLFCOP -- selected in a worldwide competition to be their initial offering -- opened to sold out audiences across western Canada on June 6. As a result of its howling success, WOLFCOP will expand across Canada in Cineplex theaters on June 13th, which auspiciously happens to be the full moon AND Friday the 13th! In the midst of all this lunacy, the filmmakers have announced a WOLFCOP sequel, to be released in 2015.“It is not often that Canadian films open to such high box office numbers,” says CineCoup Founder and CEO J Joly. “We used complete guerilla style grassroots marketing that focused on finding the film's core audience to spread the word ... this truly is a coup for the future of independent filmmaking.”Prior to WOLFCOP, Dean's best known work was the zombie flick 13 EERIE starring Katharine Isabelle.

In BATES MOTEL, the PSYCHO prequel series on A&E (Mondays at 10pE/P), the astonishingly flexible NESTOR CARBONELL plays Sheriff Alex Romero, riding herd over White Pine Bay, the unhinged drama's fictional setting.Romero is the "moral" center of the town, although morality is relative in this upscale human sewer. Imposing and discerning, Romero got involved in Norma Bates' life after an unfortunate incident at the motel early in season 1. "I am the last person who you want on your bad side, Mrs. Bates," he intoned with stoney seriousness. This season he has become - perhaps against his better judgment - even more involved with the Bates, residing at the motel after his house was torched by a reckless local drug kingpin, and he has become friendly and uneasily familiar with Norma.Nestor Carbonell was born in New York City and variously raised in Mexico, Venezuela, Florida, Connecticut, the Bahamas, and London. He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in English, where a first-year drama course led to his interest in performing.Nestor is most often recognized for his integral role in the acclaimed series LOST as the iconic Richard Alpert. This role, as well as his turn as Mayor Anthony Garcia in Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT series has shown Nestor's versatility, range, and complexity as an actor. His additional TV credits include RINGER, CANE, HOUSE, SCRUBS, MONK, and SUDDENLY SUSAN, for which he earned two ALMA Awards for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series. Nestor currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Shannon Kenny, and their two sons.

Rhiannon Held is author of the SILVER series, an urban fantasy series about werewolves from Tor. In her day job she works as a professional archaeologist. Unfortunately, given that it's real rather than fictional archaeology, fedoras, bullwhips, aliens, and dinosaurs are in short supply. Most of her work is done on the computer, using databases to organize data, and graphics programs to illustrate it.In REFLECTED, the third book of the series that began with her debut novel, SILVER, Rhiannon Held continues the secret lives of the werewolf packs that live and hunt alongside human society. Silver and her mate Andrew Dare are pack leaders of the entire North American werewolf population, and that makes the more traditional packs in Europe very nervous indeed. In book 2 of the series, TARNISHED, Andrew Dare finds his mate in Silver, but they haven't found the pack they can call home. Andrew has baggage—his violent history with the packs of Spain and the rumors of his lack of control. And then there's Silver—the werewolf who has lost her wild self to a monster's assault, and who can no longer shift forms. In SILVER, Andrew Dare is a werewolf. He's the enforcer for the Roanoke pack, and responsible for capturing or killing any Were intruders in Roanoke's territory. But the lone Were he's tracking doesn't smell or act like anyone he's ever encountered. And when he catches her, it doesn't get any better. She's beautiful, she's crazy, and someone has tortured her by injecting silver into her veins. Silver represents a terrible threat to every Were on the continent.
On Sunday, 3/16 at 8pE, CHILLER debuts its new 2-hour special, KILLER LEGENDS. The horror documentary follows filmmakers Josh Zeman and Rachel Mills as they investigate the true crimes behind these urban legends while exploring how the myths evolved and why we continue to believe. The documentary probes the following legends of:The Candyman: Though the legend is prolific, in actuality there is only one documented case of a child dying from tainted candy: 8-year-old Timothy O'Bryan, who was poisoned on Halloween by a real-life miscreant who used the legend to hide his crime, earning him the fateful nickname. The Baby-Sitter and the Man Upstairs: While the babysitter has become the go-to victim in so many horror films, does the same hold true in real life? Tragically, yes, as the filmmakers discover in unsolved case of Janett Christman, a babysitter slain in Columbia, MO, in 1950.The Hookman: Based upon the legend of two teens lovers terrorized by a madman with a hook for a hand, filmmakers investigate the case of a killer known as The Phantom, who in 1946 attacked five couples parked on lovers' lanes in Texarkana. The Killer Clown: The filmmakers investigate “phantom clown” scares that have spontaneously occurred since the 1980s. As the duo explores Chicago's creepy clown past, from John Wayne Gacy to Bozo, they attempt to answer the question of how clowns became so evil, and why they continue to haunt our nightmares.Joshua Zeman has been creating independent films for over 10 years. His critically-acclaimed horror documentary CROPSEY, was critic's pick with The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Roger Ebert, and was “one of the scariest films of the year” in 2010.

THE LINE, an urban fantasy set in Savannah, Georgia, is the first book of the Witching Savannah series. In his debut as an author, J.D Horn powerfully portrays the Hoodoo underbelly of this genteel and charming small city.Recalling the otherwordly drama of Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse, THE LINE is centered on Mercy Taylor, young scion to the most powerful witch family of the south, who has grown up in the shadow of her talented and charismatic twin sister, because unfortunately, she was born without the gift of magic. Mercy has always thought herself content. But when a series of mishaps -- culminating in the death of the Taylor matriarch -- leaves a vacuum in the mystical underpinnings of Savannah, she finds herself thrust into a mystery that could shake her family apart, and unleash a darkness the line of Taylor witches has been keeping at bay for generations. In advance of its release on February 1, the book had already become a best seller on Amazon, reaching #1 in Occult Horror books, Contemporary Science Fiction & Fantasy, Occult Horror Kindle ebooks, and Paranormal & Urban Fantasy Kindle ebooks.J. The Salem Witch Trials continues to captivate us more than three hundred years after the legendary colonial village was swept away by witchcraft hysteria. Over 82,000 tourists travel to Salem, Massachusetts annually, drawn by stories of fictional sorcery and the real-life prosecution of the accused. Too often, the names of the 255 individuals involved—including the nineteen hanged on Gallows Hill—are reduced to stock characters, the reality and intricacies of their lives buried beneath the dramatic details and their legacies smothered by Salem's modern day carnival atmosphere. In Six Women of Salem: The Untold Story of the Accused and Their Accusers in the Salem Witch Trials, historian and author Marilynne K. Roach chronicles the lives of six specific women involved in the witch hunt who represent the accusers, the accused, or both, and uses their unique stories to illuminate the larger crisis of the trials.Six Women of Salem works to reconstruct the events of the trials, bringing to life this representative group of women, and examines the entire experience of the Salem Witch Trials through the eyes of those who lived through the hysteria. Marilynne K. Roach delivers a historically intimate narrative that gives readers a front row seat to this desperate and dangerous time in history. Roach works as both a historian and illustrator. Her illustrations, how-to articles, and travel pieces have been featured in the Boston Globe. She's lectured to groups ranging in age from kindergarteners to senior citizens, and is the author of the classic The Salem Witch Trials: A Day-by-Day Chronicle of a Community Under Siege. She is a lifelong resident of Watertown, Massachusetts.

Go behind-the-scenes and on the road with Distortions Unlimited, the Colorado-based “haunt industry” animatronic and prop-making company run by Ed & Marsha Edmunds on Travel Channel's MAKING MONSTERS, Sundays at 8pE/P and 9pE/P Each hour-long episode follows the Edmunds and their staff – including renowned Hollywood creature and mask maker Jordu Schell – as they build some of the scariest frightronics and props in the world. Season three highlights include a new set of KISS animatronic band members for Las Vegas' KISS Monster Mini Golf; a giant zombie head & arms podium for Adobe Senior Creative Director Russell Brown in Denver, CO; and a mutilating buzz-saw blade attraction for Atlanta's NetherWorld; a terrifying pregnant zombie in St. Louis. Edmunds' fascination with sci-fi flicks and television began as a teenager while living in rural Illinois. He studied Art Education at the University of Northern Colorado. Edmunds used his artistic abilities to make and sell high-quality masks, which eventually led to the creation of his company, Distortions Unlimited. Marsha Taub-Edmunds began working for Ed Edmunds in 1981 - she became intrigued by the creations and took it upon herself to learn the business inside and out. Marsha and Ed connected through their shared artistic passion and wed in 1992; they have been running Distortions Unlimited as a team ever since.
