Michael Rosenblum is a pioneer of video journalism and is currently the founder of UNPRESS.
Join us for the second half of the Michael Rosenblum case.
Michael Rosenblum was big into the party lifestyle. All he wanted to do was get high, drive his sports car and hook up with attractive women. He wasn't a bad guy, but he got himself into some sticky situations. When he first went missing on Valentine's Day 1980 no one could ever have predicted the story that would unfold.
Dr. Michael Rosenblum is a Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco. His lab seeks to to understand how immune responses are regulated in tissues and how this knowledge can be exploited for therapeutic benefit. They are currently investigating how Tregs control immune responses in tissues, as well as their “alternative” functions. He talks about early-life inflammation and type 2 helper T cells in the skin, and how Tregs can be manipulated to target autoimmune diseases and cancer.
Ben starts off the episode with the great aspects that Derek Horst brings to the group which continues with the other members of the group. That discussion leads to the many different accents that Ben and Michael Rosenblum do. Then the question turns to any mistakes made in skits and if there were any skits in the past that were just busts. The guys discuss the fun little nuances that have occurred over the years and how far has the group traveled to perform. Travis wraps up with the Slawburger Chase for Landon Carr Question of the Day. February 14, 1980. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While recovering from a bad drug hangover, 25-year old Michael Rosenblum drives off in his girlfriend's car and vanishes without a trace. The vehicle is soon found abandoned by the Baldwin Borough Police Department, but even though Michael's family reports him missing, the police inexplicably keep the car impounded for three months without informing anyone. As the years go by, Michael's father uncovers disturbing evidence to suggest that the Baldwin police chief helped orchestrate an elaborate cover-up involving his son's disappearance. Even when a skull fragment belonging to Michael is found in 1992, there are no answers about what happened to him. Will returns to the podcast along with Ben and Travis. This brings out Travis' inner Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as he introduces Will. The guys talk about how they prefer their coffee or lack there of in Will's case. Ben gives us a little introduction into our discussion of anxiety. Ben encourages to determine the frequency and intensity of your anxiety. People with extreme anxiety need to see a counselor. He discusses the nature of anxiety. Travis mentions the importance of breathing properly, hand placement and being intentional about breathing. Travis laments that he didn't take Michael Rosenblum's idea to journal his journey in the hospital but has recently started in his blog posts. Ben also mentions how journaling helps you process the events, facts and how far you've come in the journey. It can also be valuable tool to your counselor and loved ones. Ben brings up being mindful and connection. Travis brings up coloring as a way to focus on what is in front of you. Ben says he draws and helps him enjoy the moment. Will discusses the importance of exercise in relieving his anxiety. Will especially enjoys walking with his wife. He mentions that some people find relaxation by getting in a "body of water" either going the beach or a shower. He also brings up the importance of surrounding yourself with people who are open to the existence of anxiety. The discussion even touches on knowing what you have control of and how that helps with anger management. Ben then poses the question "Is anxiety a sin?" and opens it up to Travis and Will's thoughts. All of the guys bring up Jesus' "Sermon on the Mount" but specifically Matthew 6 and 7. The guys then encourage you to reach out to us at facebook.com/groups/benandtravis and give some information about the July 2021 challenge. Michael Rosenblum hvarf sporlaust um miðjan febrúar árið 1980 eftir að hafa nýverið fallið en hann hafði klárað fíkniefnameðferð nokkru áður. Bíllinn hans fannst en vegna arfaslakrar lögregluvinnu kom seint í ljós hvað varð að Michael. Í gegnum árin hafa vaknað upp grunsemdir um að lögreglan hafi jafnvel átt eitthvað með málið að gera og möguleika á spillingu innan lögreglunnar líka Hvað ætli hafi komið fyrir Michael? www.instagram.com/mordskurinn www.facebook.com/mordskurinn

“It's actually horrific. What passes for journalism is absolutely appalling in this country.” -- Michael Rosenblum, author of "Don't watch this: How the media are destroying your life."You could call Michael Rosenblum Critic-In-Chief of the television news industry. He's an advocate of "citizen journalism," the idea that everyone can be their own journalist, especially at a time when there are more than 3 billion smartphones in circulation worldwide. Opponents of this idea argue that the world needs well-trained and experienced journalists to sort through online information overload, debunk conspiracy theories and hold government officials accountable. But as you'll hear in this episode, Rosenblum couldn't disagree more. He says those days are over and that citizens should take control of the media by creating their own stories. HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED IN REAL ESTATE: WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: How Michael made the transition from working in the magazine space to becoming a successful real estate broker Why Michael’s secret for how to stay motivated in real estate lies in serving others, and why he measures success by the trust he builds with the people he works with What steps Michael takes to avoid burnout, manage stress, stay motivated and operate at his best every single day Why Michael views difficult interactions and working with challenging clients to be an opportunity to grow and learn more about himself rather than a burden to bear Michael discusses his first book “Happily Ever Always”, and his forthcoming children’s book “The Caterpillar and the Butterfly” releasing in February 2021 How Michael has learned to turn fear into faith even in the face of the many challenges we have faced in 2020, and how that became the theme of his second book How to Stay Motivated in Real Estate and Conquer Fear with Faith Chicago-based real estate broker Michael Rosenblum has worked hard and learned many lessons to achieve his remarkable success; lessons he shares in his bestselling book “Happily Ever Always” and his upcoming children’s book “The Caterpillar and the Butterfly”. He is driven not by sales commissions, but by a passionate need to serve others to his maximum ability. This drive has become his secret for how to stay motivated in real estate and serves as a source of strength and faith for Michael, even amidst the many unprecedented challenges of the global pandemic. Michael’s passion for his work and his dedication to his core beliefs are sure to be an inspiration, and that’s why I’m so delighted to share our conversation with the Pursuing Freedom audience! Serving Others: The Secret for How to Stay Motivated in Real Estate I loved this conversation with Michael, where he shares his passion for providing value, and how he’s experienced massive success as a result. For Michael, the philosophy of treating everyone as you’d want to be treated is at the core of his life, and the growth of his business is a mere byproduct of living with this intention to serve. Michael embodies a “full-service concierge” approach to business, and stands ready to be a resource for whatever his clients need. The experience of going above and beyond feels his soul! Michael’s guiding principle for how to stay motivated in real estate is: focus on people instead of commissions. Fear Becomes Faith There has never been a better time to introduce you to Michael Rosenblum, who teaches faith over fear. You know I’m passionate about helping you act in spite of fear, so I was thrilled when Michael agreed to join us on the podcast to help instill more FAITH in all of us! For Michael, fear is an obstacle that can only be overcome by full acceptance and belief… that the challenges we face today will pass tomorrow. This philosophy serves as the backbone for his upcoming children’s book, “The Caterpillar and the Butterfly”, which teaches kids (and adults!) important lessons about coping with fear, maintaining optimism, and finding inner strength. Whatever fear you may be facing- fear of failure, fear of what people will think, fear of overwhelms – choose faith instead. You will never fail when you focus on giving value above all else! February 14, 1980. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While recovering from a bad drug hangover, 25-year old Michael Rosenblum drives off in his girlfriend’s car and vanishes without a trace. The vehicle is soon found abandoned by the Baldwin Borough Police Department, but even though Michael’s family reports him missing, the police inexplicably keep the car impounded for three months without informing anyone. As the years go by, Michael’s father uncovers disturbing evidence to suggest that the Baldwin police chief helped orchestrate an elaborate cover-up involving his son’s disappearance.
