Country music's Jason Aldean has been around for years. But he didn't crack the Billboard Top 5 until he released “Try That in a Small Town” – a controversial hit that portrays American city living as a gauntlet of violence and crime. CMT pulled down the song's video, which featured Aldean singing at a former lynching site. But “Try That” is more popular than ever. Why? And what does its ubiquity say about modern country music? After the Denver Broncos' second week of OTAs on Thursday, Sean Payton had massive praise for former third-round NFL Draft pick Greg Dulcich. Payton brought up former tight end greats like Jason Witten, Jimmy Graham and Jeremy Shockey when talking about Dulcich's talent. Payton also said Dulcich could be the team's “joker,” which has been held by other players in the past such as Reggie Bush, Alvin Kamara and Darren Sproles. If Dulcich lives up to his talent, what type of season would that look like working with Russell Wilson? On a totally unrelated note, the fellas also draft the best fast casual restaurants. In this show Jason and Alex present what investors should do amidst all that is happening in the world, in these uncharted waters. They begin by sharing the purpose of the show, which is to advocate for consumers by providing financial education free from any conflicts of interest. Jason brings to light that most financial radio shows’ purpose is to sell commission based, high profit products. IDA does not any sell products, as they are full time all the time fiduciaries who objectively build comprehensive financial plans that optimize their clients’ financial lives.Jason and Alex discuss how relevant Jason’s book, written multiple years ago, is to the present crisis, as it lays out a plan for how investors can successfully navigate uncharted waters amidst crisis. They discuss how important it is for investors to have a financial plan and make intelligent and disciplined decisions with their life savings in uncertain times. Alex educates listeners by suggesting investors block out all noise and focus on the basics of what they need to do to get through the crises successfully. Jason offers a free book to listeners, to help them avoid making common mistakes with their life savings, especially as mistakes are so common during crises.Next Jason and Alex answer a listener’s question: “Why should I continue to invest globally, as international investments have performed dismally over the past 5 years?” They answer the question by sharing the data, that shows trying to time which asset class is going to perform best next is a recipe for failure. Investors are more successful when they diversify in a way that matches their personal financial situation – their financial plan. Chasing performance does not work, as different asset classes perform better in different times and there is no way to predict which will do best at a given time.Jason shares an example of how chasing performance does not work. Most 401k participants pick their investments within the plan by looking at short term performance (1 to 3 years). Alex points out that we are all trained as consumers to do this, i.e. read recent reviews, although it is detrimental to success in investing. Investors succeed rather by investing in a globally diversified portfolio and having, and sticking to, a financial plan that works to achieve personal goals. They close the show with beautiful fact that sticking to basics, your long-term financial plan, in unchartered water not only yields financial success but importantly, peace of mind during stressful crises. In this show you will learn about:- IDA’s mission to provide objective, non-biased financial education to consumers- How important a personal financial plan and discipline are to investor success in uncertain times amidst crises- Why investors should diversify their invested assets globally- Why selecting investments based on how they have performed short-term is a mistake

Francesc and Dan analyse what the departure on the legendary Don Andres Iniesta means for Barcelona and how the club can recover from such an influential loss. Your hosts are then joined by Jason Davis of ESPNFC and Sirius XMFC to discuss US Soccer progression, Barca's season to date and Messi's chances of World Club glory.
In this podcast Jason goes over a wide assortment of topics. First he discusses the previous episode debate with Paul Pavao on the Perseverance of the Saints. Next Jason discusses
Jason Hartman discusses the destruction of America's great middle class and how to avoid it. Let's not let the USA become a banana republic. Jason recommends the book War on the Middle Class by Lou Dobbs and his interviews with Rich Dad author Garrett Sutton and Jim Rogers and then he talks about and article received from Chris McLaughlin: Middle class down this decade. The first decade of the 21st century will go down in the history books as a step back for the American middle class. Last week, the government made gloomy headlines when it released the latest census report showing the poverty rate rose to a 17-year high. A whopping 46.2 million people (or 15.1% of the US population) live in poverty and 49.9 million live without health insurance. But the data also gave the first glimpse of what happened to middle-class incomes in the first decade of the millennium. While the earnings of middle-income Americans have barely budged since the mid 1970s, the new data showed that from 2000 to 2010, they actually regressed. For American households in the middle of the pay scale, income fell to $49,445 last year, when adjusted for inflation, a level not seen since 1996. And over the 10-year period, their income is down 7%. Unlike the richest Americans, middle class families have most of their wealth tied up in the equity of their homes, which took a beating in the recession. And high unemployment has left many people with little or no other income at all. At the same time that Americans had less cash to spend, they were also being hit with rising prices for some crucial items. Even accounting for inflation, it still costs more to buy a home, fill your gas tank, go to the doctor and put food on the table than it did only 10 years ago. And not only is it more expensive to live a middle-class life, it costs more to get there too. The price of a college education — still considered the ticket to higherwages and a better lifestyle — has surged over the last decade, even in spite of the recession. Facing these burdens, the American Dream is undergoing stark changes, with fewer people choosing to buy homes and more young people postponing their own independent lives. The census data showed about 14.2% of all young people ages 25 to 34 are still living in their parents' homes this year, compared to about 11.8% before the recession began in 2007. It's bye-bye 'American Pie' for Jason Biggs who stars in Grassroots as the campaign manager for his best friend's platform; which is to widen the monorail system throughout Seattle. It's a crazy scheme, but it just might work. When it comes to real life jobs, Jason tells host Robin Milling he hasn't been that lucky as he was fired from a soap opera, a commercial with Sarah Michelle Gellar, and a television series he starred in which to his delight was canceled shortly after he was let go. Jason admits he's not very political but is happy the film might encourage young people to start their own grassroots program and make a difference. When it comes to his own platform for change, Jason jokes that he just doesn't have enough crazy ideas to make something happen. Next Jason can be heard as the voice of Leonardo in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series for Nickelodeon.
