Which former Ohio State football player best exemplifies what it means to be a Buckeye? That's what we'll spend the next week trying to figure out with the help of the Buckeye Talk Subtext subscribers. Over 150 people were considered but only 32 could make the official bracket as Stephen Means, Stefan Krajisnik and Andrew Gillis discuss some of the greatest players in history. But this isn't about just being the best. It's about telling the story of a program and who we can't tell that story without. We've finally reached the final stage of this discussion with the debut of our Final Four featuring Archie Griffin, Eddie George, Chris Spielman and James Laurinaitis. Here's Part 1 of that discussion. Thanks for listening to Buckeye Talk and sign up to get text messages from experts Stephen Means, Stefan Krajisnik and Andrew Gillis at 614-350-3315. On this episode of The Jon Gordon Podcast, I'm joined by my good friend Antonio Neves for one of the most honest and powerful conversations we've had on the show. Antonio's story is incredibly moving, he opens up about losing his home in the Pacific Palisades fires and how that one experience changed everything for his family. We talk openly about grief, resilience, and what it's like to face some of life's toughest moments and, most importantly, how to find hope and new beginnings on the other side. Antonio shares how he and his family are rebuilding not just a home, but a sense of purpose and possibility and the lessons he's learned while leading his young kids through adversity. We get into his new book, The One Day Method, and why focusing on one great day at a time can be an absolute game-changer, especially when life throws you a curveball. This is a real conversation about overcoming, recommitting to what matters, and learning how to see the gift, even in pain. If you're going through a challenging season, I promise this episode will encourage you and remind you that the best is yet to come. About Antonio, Antonio Neves is the author of The 1-Day Method, an award-winning journalist, and internationally renowned speaker. His previous book, "Stop Living on Autopilot," helped countless readers reclaim control of their lives and rediscover purpose. After a successful career with major networks including NBC, PBS, and MTV Networks Antonio transitioned to helping individuals and organizations achieve breakthrough results through his coaching and speaking engagements. He has spoken at leading companies and conferences worldwide. Drawing from his experience as a former NCAA Division I athlete and Ivy League graduate, Antonio combines discipline with deep insight to help others reach their full potential. His approach has been featured on the NBC Today Show, Inc., and Forbes.. In 2025, Antonio faced his greatest challenge when California wildfires destroyed his family's home and possessions. Applying the very principles he teaches, he has been rebuilding his life alongside his wife and twins, proving that his methods work even in life's most difficult circumstances. Antonio currently lives in Los Angeles, where he continues to develop practical wisdom for those seeking to transform their lives one day at a time. Check out Antonio here! On this episode, I have the absolute pleasure of sitting down with two incredible brothers—Pat and Robert McLaughlin. These guys are the real deal. Not only are they heart-driven leaders making a huge impact in their respective fields, but they recently joined us in Orlando at our Day of Development and Jon Gordon Certified events, dove right in, and became Jon Gordon Certified Trainers! Pat McLaughlin is a serial entrepreneur, chiropractor, business owner, and author. He's run everything from chiropractic practices to hair salons (yes, you read that right), and his latest passion project is writing and speaking on the power of being present. Robert McLaughlin brings nearly three decades of experience at Chick-fil-A, where he leads with positivity as the head of their Support team, championing a drum-banging culture of recognition and continuous improvement. In our conversation, we dig into what makes these brothers tick—their shared values, powerful family bonds, and personal journeys through both triumph and tragedy. We talk about leadership lessons from the sports field and the importance of investing in yourself so you can invest more in others. The McLaughlin brothers open up about their commitment to positive leadership and how they're using their certification to pour into organizations, schools, and communities. Give it a listen and get ready to bang the drum (you'll see what I mean)! About Robert, Robert McLaughlin serves as Executive Director of Support Now for Chick-fil-A, where he leads a 294-person team dedicated to supporting restaurant operators, team members, and customers nationwide. Since joining the company in 1998, he's worn many hats—from Field Marketing Consultant to leading major sponsorships like the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, to shaping national brand strategy and new restaurant marketing. A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill with an MBA from Notre Dame, Robert brings both business acumen and heart to everything he does. Beyond the boardroom, he's a three-time Ironman triathlete, motivational speaker, proud husband of his high school sweetheart, Holly, and devoted girl dad to two daughters. In this episode, he shares leadership insights, stories from his journey, and what it takes to lead with purpose at one of America's most beloved brands. About Pat, Dr. Patrick (Pat) McLaughlin is a seasoned chiropractor, entrepreneur, author, and speaker on a mission to help people align their lives and become the best version of themselves. Since opening his first practice in 1991, he's launched seven chiropractic offices and currently runs two successful practices in eastern North Carolina. But his passion for impact doesn't stop there—he's also built businesses with Great Clips, Duck Donuts, StayDry Med Centers, and Shape Med Centers, once owning 50 Great Clips salons and ranking among the top franchisees in North America. A lifelong learner and avid reader, Pat is now focused on writing and speaking to empower others. He's the author of The Bear Facts of Life and the upcoming The Power of Being Present, and serves as a guest lecturer for UNC Chapel Hill's entrepreneurship program. In this episode, he shares practical wisdom on leadership, personal growth, and what it means to truly live in alignment. Pat has been married to his wife, Maria, since 1995 and is a proud father of four. When he's not coaching others, he's likely spending time with his three dogs, on the golf course, or enjoying live music and sports. Alex and Richard break down offseason happenings in the Mid-American Conference, which saw lots of coach carousel turnover. * Ohio: Tim Albin to Charlotte, OC Brian Smith replacing him * Ball State: An off-the-beaten-path coach hire, bringing on a guy who most recently coached non-scholarship football in the Pioneer League * Miami: It's a Return to the MAC for QB Dequan Finn* Buffalo: Pete Lembo tries to follow up a surprisingly good opening act* Bowling Green: Has an offseason loss of a coach ever looked better than the Falcons winding up with Eddie George? * Western Michigan: Major staff turnover as Lance Taylor tries to fix it * Toledo: Jason Candle has a good roster (as usual) and spicy spring game commentary * NIU: Losing basically everything from last year's team that beat Notre Dame, and also preparing for a conference switch * Akron: A portal exodus * EMU: Ditto, but Chris Creighton is a hard man to count out * Central Michigan: Trying something different with Army's Matt Drinkall as head coach. We applaud the spirit of the hire* Kent State: Well, it's really, really badThe MAC also has some realignment coming for this season, with UMass joining back up. They're not officially Midwesterners again until July, though, so we'll discuss the Minutemen when we check in with the independents. (Ed. note! We recorded most of this episode shortly before the spring transfer portal window opened, but we made a few updates before publication on 4/23, mostly to cover the late-spring firing of Kent State's head coach.) In this episode, recorded live at the Champions Retreat in Iowa, I dive deep into the power of prayer. I share a personal journey from a life marked by negativity and disconnection to one filled with purpose, positivity, and a profound connection with God. Drawing from scripture and our real world experiences, I discuss the importance of staying connected to our Creator and how disconnection breeds feelings of isolation, anxiety, and depression. Through the story of a power outage that led to a revelation about God's unyielding love, I explore how we can shift from a life governed by the flesh to one led by the Spirit. We'll talk about how intentional prayer not only changes our thoughts but transforms our entire being. Join me as I unpack how to really tune your life into the higher frequency—one that leads to healing, power, and purpose. This isn't just theory; it's a way of life rooted in a daily commitment to prayer, surrender, and gratitude. Let's embark on this journey towards more meaningful connections and a life filled with spirit and power. On this episode, I share how I began speaking to professional and college teams, starting with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2007 which led me to speak to the Atlanta Falcons in 2008 and countless teams and Training Camps since. While visiting these Training Camps I learned a ton from the coaches. It was like a think tank where we shared and exchanged the best leadership, culture and team building strategies. I realized that not everyone can go to Training Camp and that's why I decided to bring Training Camp to YOU. I want to invite you to join me for a one of a kind intimate gathering of only 150 leaders where you'll learn and interact with many of the best leaders in sports whose principles, strategies and lessons apply to leadership in every field and industry. Never before have all these iconic and elite coaches been in one room together sharing their wisdom, stories, leadership lessons and faith. This event will be one of a kind and the only way to experience it is to be in the room. It's happening May 15th in Ponte Vedra Beach, TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse.

In this episode, I sit down with my friend and renowned mental strength coach Howard Falco, author of the transformative new book Invincible: The Mindset of Infinite Potential and the Secret to Inevitable Success. We dive deep into the mindset shifts that can help you break through limitations and step into the life you're meant to live. Howard shares the exact process he uses to help elite athletes and high performers tap into their potential, dismantle self-limiting beliefs, and create real transformation — from the inside out. We talk about faith, flow, identity, ego, the power of “I AM,” and what it truly means to live in alignment with who you were created to be. This is a conversation about more than performance — it's about purpose, peace, and becoming who you really are. If you're looking for that next-level mindset shift, this one's for you.
The offseason has been fairly quiet for the Ohio State Buckeyes over the last month, but the team has started spring practice, and storylines are sure to surface over the coming weeks. In the meantime, we reconvened to discuss important topics, such as Ohio State players switching jersey numbers. Several Buckeyes will be sporting new numbers on their shirts this fall, and we now know which number some of the incoming freshman and transfer portal players will wear. We looked at the Sunday league as well, to find out which former Buckeyes might (or might not) change jersey numbers, but have changed entire jerseys. Several Ohio State products have switched teams and some are still in the process of finding the next stop on their career path.Ohio State legend Eddie George is returning to the Buckeye State to coach Bowling Green. The 1995 Heisman Trophy winner is a solid candidate and could be on a bright career path trajectory, as some of the Falcons' coaches of the past have gone on to bigger and better things. This may be an Ohio State football podcast, but it's one that doesn't miss the opportunity to point out when things go wrong for Michigan. As such, we touch on former Michigan assistant coach Matt Weiss' 24-count indictment and what it could mean for the Wolverines, especially if any of it ends up tying into the ongoing sign stealing investigation. Finally, we discuss some big dates on the OSU calendar, including Ohio State's Pro Day and the Buckeyes' trip to the White House. We are in our monthly offseason schedule, but we could have more than one show a month depending on how much news there is. We will return to our weekly schedule in August, as camp opens and we get you ready for the 2025 Ohio State football season. We would love to hear from you, so please reach out with your feedback and questions via email at SilverBulletsPod@gmail.com Any questions directed toward us will be answered on our next show.Be sure to subscribe, rate, review, share, and follow the show over on Twitter at @SilvrBulletsPod.As always, thanks for listening!0:20 — New jersey numbers for OSU players, new homes for ex-Buckeyes in the NFL, and Eddie George returns to Ohio.24:13 — Matt Weiss brings Michigan more misery.28:40 — An Ohio State recruit from Chip's hometown and some upcoming dates of significance for the Buckeyes.
