God wants to replace your pain with peace. He wants to replace your hurts with healing. The solution to our hurt and pain must be a surrendered heart and the willingness to heal. To surrender our hearts to Jesus is to acknowledge Our Healer, Our Advocate.

Bonus Episode from the Christmas Promises for the Grieving Heart Daily Devotional The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. Isaiah 61:1-3 Our Healer, Our Comforter The baby we celebrate at Christmas, that baby in a manger, He is our good news, our hope. He is good news because He came to bring freedom, to set us free. Freedom from death and sin and all that is broken. Jesus came to bring life. And He came to bring healing and comfort. Healing is a choice, to make the choice there are two questions that must be answered. The answers to those questions will determine which path you're on. The path to healing or the painful path. Scriptures Used: Luke 5:12-14: When the man recognized Jesus, he fell on his face at Jesus' feet and begged to be healed, saying, “If you were willing, you could completely heal me.” Jesus reached out and touched him and said, “Of course I am willing to heal you, and now you will be healed.” Instantly, the leprous sores were healed, and his skin became smooth. Hebrews 13:8: Jesus, the Anointed One, is always the same—yesterday, today, and forever. Acts 10:34: Peter said, “Now I know for certain that God doesn't show favoritism with people but treats everyone on the same basis. John 14:12-14: “I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father! For I will do whatever you ask me to do when you ask me in my name. And that is how the Son will show what the Father is really like and bring glory to him. Ask me anything in my name, and I will do it for you!” 2 Corinthians 1:18-20: As surely as God is faithful, our word to you does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God's ultimate “Yes,” he always does what he says. For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. 1 Peter 2:24: He himself carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we would be dead to sin and live for righteousness. Our instant healing flowed from his wounding. Isaiah 53:3-5: He was despised and rejected by men, a man of deep sorrows who was no stranger to suffering and grief. We hid our faces from him in disgust and considered him a nobody, not worthy of respect. Yet he was the one who carried our sicknesses and endured the torment of our sufferings. We viewed him as one who was being punished for something he himself had done, as one who was struck down by God and brought low. But it was because of our rebellious deeds that he was pierced and because of our sins that he was crushed. He endured the punishment that made us completely whole, and in his wounding, we found our healing. This week on Healing River we welcome our special guest Sandy Hutchinson, who was healed by the Lord of severe asthma, allergies, and COPD. Sandy will graciously share her testimony for the benefit of others suffering from chronic respiratory, and other illnesses. God is truly Our Healer, if we turn to Him. Praise God! Drs. Vann and Sandy Hutchinson are Christian ministers specializing in teaching spiritual warfare and demonic deliverance. They are located in South Carolina. The emphasis of their ministry is setting people free from demonic strongholds. Their goal is to give Christians tools with which to fight and win against the kingdom of darkness.
