In Trinway, Ohio, sits the stately Prospect Place Estate—a 29-room mansion built in 1856 by abolitionist George Willison Adams. While originally constructed as a symbol of freedom and progress, today Prospect Place stands as one of Ohio's most haunted locations. Amy Green of the G.W. Adams Educational Center shares the fascinating—and chilling—history of the estate, from its role in the Underground Railroad to the whispers of lingering spirits. Visitors report everything from shadow figures, disembodied voices, and ghostly laughter, to the lingering scent of cigar smoke from the parlor where George Adams himself is still said to roam. Could the ghost of a bounty hunter still haunt the barn? And who is the little girl seen wandering the servants' quarters? Whether you come for the history or the haunts, one thing's for certain: Prospect Place leaves a lasting impression on the living and the dead. This is Part Two of our conversation. Prospect Place in Trinway, Ohio was built by an abolitionist and was a stop on the Underground Railroad. This was a house that not only had to be built twice due to a fire, but it was ahead of its time in regards to amenities. A legend connected to this property claims that a bounty hunter came calling looking for runaway slaves and rather than finding slaves, he found a noose as workers on the farm hanged him. There are stories of spirits on the property. Join us as we explore the history and haunting of Prospect Place! The Moment in Oddity features Anting and This Month in History features C.H. Escuchar audio

Call the exterminator (or a priest) cause this episode has a Ghost-Problem!! That's my way of saying - we both have ghost stories this week!!! Sarah starts us out with Prospect Place in Ohio. This 29 room mansion was a stop on the Underground Railway, and the last stop for one unfortunate bounty hunter. An angry racist ghost, a young girl who plays in the ballroom, and countless other spirits call Prospect Place their forever home. Stephanie wraps up with a story from Sarah's home state - the tale of the Headless Horseman of South Texas. We know some of the history is true, but even if the rest is fake it sure makes one hell of a story.
Greetings Spooky Adventurers! On this episode, we find the Crew in Ohio at a beautiful mansion built by a really amazing guy, George Adams! This week Shawn and John are hanging out with their friend from Team S.P.E.C.T.R.E Joe Dutt. He and his team were featured on the Ghost Adventures episode on Prospect Place in Trinway, Ohio. They now host public ghost hunts and Ghost walks at historical locations. Like The Canton Palace Theater public ghost hunts that are coming up for Halloween and World Ghost Hunt Day. They will also be hosting a ghost walk through the Akron Zoo on Halloween day. Come join Shawn and John as they talk about these spooky events and what ever else may come up while they discuss the supernatural!here is a short bio on Team S.P.E.C.T.R.E so you can get to know about them before the show:Team Spectre officially formed in 2007 with the intention of helping historical locations set up their own ghost hunts, and to be an introduction platform for those interested in learning more about all the ghost hunting hype that was occurring with the swarm of reality shows around that time. Team Spectre remains dedicated to helping out historical locations and helping those that are interested in learning more about ghosts and ghost communication. In some cases, people come to us with questions hoping we can help them resolve questions they have about their own sensitivities. Many times we are more about how to co-exist in a space than we are about chasing spirits away. Sometimes the spirits themselves just want help or to be heard/acknowledged. When we hunt, we seek to figure out what could possibly explain a phenomenon. When everything we can think of is ruled out, we think we have a piece of possible evidence then. Sometimes the banging on/in the wall isn’t a ghost; it’s a water pipe hammering from a well pump. The team is comprised of a mix of different walks of life. We all enjoy the hunt for the sake of the personal experiences, the evidence collection, answering questions that we all have, and for the camaraderie that goes with sharing a common interest. Spectre is as much of a community as it is a ghost group. Some of our members belong to other ghost groups as well as to Spectre. We are all working toward the same goals of discovery, so why not work together. We occasionally investigate a private home, but most often we refer them to other groups because private home owners want a resolution right now, and many of us in Spectre travel a lot. We cannot roll the Ecto 1I questions they have about their own sensitivities. Many times we are more about how to co-exist in a space than we are about chasing spirits away.
