Talibanization' of Pakistan? , Will The US Embassy in Kabul Have to be Evacuated?, Afghanistan falling into the Void? Retired US Diplomat to 5 different nations  David Hunter shares his knowledge, passion, interest, and experience. Today's Agenda 1)   Is Afghanistan falling into the Void?   The US pulled out of Baghram last week almost in the 'dark of night', leaving Baghram Airforce Field in the hands of Afghans.  Was this like a building collapse?  Did the Afghans have time to prepared for the sudden US withdrawal?  What will happen next?2) Will The US Embassy in Kabul Have to be Evacuated?:  We all remember the fall of the Shah of Iran, and the capture of US diplomats by the radical students.  Will the US Embassy in Kabul suffer the same fate?  If so, do we have the ability to get our people out?   3) Would a Taliban Takeover of Afghanistan lead to 'Talibanization' of Pakistan?  Will Pakistan become a new hotbed of Terrorism? Are its nukes at risk?  4)  How did a Condo in Miami simply pancake, likely killing over 100 people?  Was there negligence?  Who is responsible for reviewing the safety of such buildings?  Could it happen in Vero Beach? CERTUS Premier Memory Care Living Explore our Signature Programs to learn more about the CERTUS Premier Memory Care Living difference.Coastal Complete Direct Primary Care Redefining your expectations for quality medical care.

Those storms reached Indiana late in the evening of June 18 producing heavy rains, gusty winds and hail. Flights all across the mid-west were already being diverted from some of the airports as the storms came closer. As one of the strongest storms approached Indianapolis, the control tower at the airport was evacuated as the severe thunderstorm moved in. 1” diameter hailstones fell, a 62-mph wind gust was reported, and a tornado was spotted 2 miles northwest of the airport. Flights were sent on to other airports and traffic controllers in other cities had to take over the duties of those in Indianapolis for several hours. Learn more about your ad choices. 15MAR1945: Moving with his unit through a forest near Mertzwiller, France, PFC Silvestre Herrera and his men were pinned down by German machine gun fire. The enemy position was dug in and protected behind a minefield. Seeing that his men were stuck, Herrera got up and charged, throwing grenades and firing his rifle as he went. Herrera came upon the emplacement and quickly captured 8 German soldiers by himself. Returning with his prisoners, his unit continued mission. Later that day, his men were again pinned down. Once more, Hererra charged as he had done previously. This time he stepped on a mine, shattering his leg. Standing back up and continuing to advance on his one good leg, he shortly thereafter stepped on a second mine severing his other leg below the knee. Despite his wounds and now bleeding out, Herrera laid in the prone position and began laying down fire towards the enemy. Herrera suppressed the enemy position long enough for his unit to maneuver around and overrun the emplacement. Evacuated that day, Herrera would survive the war and be awarded the Medal of Honor in August of 1945.
