What Is Truth? | Psychology Today In Plato's Cratylus, on the philosophy of language, Socrates says that aletheia (Greek, ‘truth') is a compression of the phrase ‘a wandering that is divine.' Since Plato, many thinkers have spoken of truth and God in the same breath, and truth has also been linked with concepts such as justice, power, and freedom. According to John the Apostle, Jesus said to the Jews: ‘And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.' Truth Definition and Meaning - Bible Dictionary (biblestudytools.com) I am talking about this today because I have struggled to articulate my thoughts on the Religious Freedom Bill and Transgender/Non-Binary discussion. I have struggled to articulate my thoughts, because the leftist media, politicians and weeping mothers doing interviews on the national broadcaster all tell me that I must accept the Transgender/Non-Binary ideology as fact. And don't question it anymore, otherwise I am a bigot, naturally. So in our society we use terminology such as “My Truth” or frame questions with “What is your truth” or “Tell us your truth” and the search for “The Factual Truth” seems to have disappeared. It is now about how you feel, and this can therefore be your personal truth. We live in an age where parents believe they can have a child, and that child can decide what sex they will identify as when they are old enough. And that identity does not have to be male or female, it can now be whatever made up word pops into your mind, you can identify as a “Zi” and people must accept your brilliance for being “Zi”. Yet I have always believed that a parent is supposed to train a child, it is our duty to keep a child safe and teach them right from wrong. Teach them the difference between truth and a lie, or what we know as fact and fiction. When a child comes to a parent and expresses confusion about their gender identity then it is the responsibility of the Parent to educate the child about the human body and why they are the gender they were born. And most importantly it is the parents' duty to be the best role models they can be, so a father will be a role model for his son and a mother will be the role model for the daughter. I understand family structures are not all the same and a lot of single parents are doing the best they can. However, it is still the responsibility as the parent to educate and guide the child, not allow them to follow feelings that will lead them toward a self-destructing delusion and possibly toward the mutilation of the body with surgery. So in Australia we had the discussion surrounding the Government pushing for the Religious Freedom Bill which quickly turned into an emotions driven debate around ‘Transgender Identifying” and “Non Binary Identifying” children and how they could possibly be treated. The bill did not pass and ultimately was sabotaged by politicians who would rather affirm the LGBTIQ+ ideology than what is fact. Our so called modern western society and the embracing of the LGBTIQ+ ideology is destroying our children. And we wouldn't even need a Religious Freedom Bill except our society now embraces a delusion as fact and a lie as the truth. When nations walk away from Biblical Principals then they are on a path to self-destruction. You know things are bad for a Prime Minister when you see them on television washing people's hair or playing the ukulele. We officially entered political looney land this week, and Tim & Lauren have plenty to say about Scomo's publicity stunts, as well as his signature legislation - the Religious Freedom Bill - falling short in the final innings (thank God, literally). Freedom Convoys in Canada and Paris are causing havoc, while the one in Canberra just can't seem to get its act together, or figure out how to count. Putin is right on the verge of invading Ukraine, so there's much to say about that, but this episode is fully worth it just for the bit at the end where Tim dumps some shocking news involving Trump and his golden toilet. Oh you won't be disappointed, dear listeners, we promise you.
