Frankie Bridge is best known for her pop career - she was a member of one of the UK's most successful girl bands, The Saturdays, and pop group S Club Juniors, which she joined at just 12-years-old. She's also the Sunday Times bestselling author of OPEN: Why Asking for Help Can Save Your Life and GROW: Motherhood, Mental Health and Me. In this episode we talk about the power of self-belief, her experience of being a child star and its impact on her life, and the challenges of comparison when you're in a girl band.
Frankie Bridge has been working since the age of 12, and before her 30th birthday she'd sold 10 million records, and had 19 UK top ten singles, both as part of S Club Juniors, and then The Saturdays. Frankie has achieved things so many would dream of, but today she told me after each career move, she felt like a failure, and that she didn't have control over her future & career. This is an episode about reinvention, not being scared to find your feet over & over again, and having the courage to create the future you want for yourself.+FRANKIE: IG: https://www.instagram.com/frankiebridge/?hl=en-gbFaves The Edit: https://www.instagram.com/favestheedit/ +MY LINKS: https://gracebeverley.komi.io/+RETROGRADE, SHREDDY, TALA and THE PRODUCTIVITY METHOD are my own businesses, therefore any mention of them - whilst not being a sponsorship - is monetarily endorsed. Nick and Angela welcome pop star and Christmas angel Frankie Bridge! Frankie was a member of not one, but two of the UK's biggest groups, S Club Juniors and The Saturdays. Frankie's had 19 UK Top 10 singles which is more than Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. Having appeared on Celebrity MasterChef, I'm A Celebrity…and Strictly Come Dancing, Frankie's infectious energy has made her a darling of the small screen. She is currently a panellist on Loose Women. Angela cooks Frankie a one-pan festive brunch with baked eggs with sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms and red onions, paired with an English sparkling wine. Frankie reveals how she survived trekking in the Namibian desert with Nick for Comic Relief, why she loves the smell of tinsel and shares her favourite mince pie recipe. Lastly, Andy takes a look at Aaron's astrological year ahead, which includes a major, once-in-a-lifetime Pluto transit as well as both Saturn and Jupiter activating one of his chart's sensitive angles. (Recorded on: March 19, 2021)
