As we rediscover sacred feminine truths that have been neglected through the ages, we develop a clearer understanding of women and their distinctive purpose in the exaltation of mankind.

My guest today is the healing author, Stella Tomlinson. Stella is a Priestess and author of three books, including 'Cycles of Belonging: Honouring ourselves through the sacred cycles of life', published by Womancraft Publishing. Her offerings are based on over 20 years' experience in personal and spiritual healing and development through meditation, yoga, mindfulness, energy healing and Goddess and nature spirituality and she's been teaching and writing in these fields since 2011. In this episode we explored the relevance of the various cycles of life - including breath, circadian, sacred blood, the moon, the life cycles and goddess archetypes.   What You'll Learn from this Episode:   Often our first experience of feminine cyclical living can be that of shame, when we experience our first bleed - connecting to our cycles in adulthood as we learn more about them can be very healing Life is not linear, it operates in spirals - yet often we can fear the spiral path because it is messy and we long for control. Yet, a life of magic isn't linear, so we have to choose to unlock cyclical living to fully embrace soul There's often a beauty found in the darkness of the winter of each cycle - an initiation into death and rebirth that is so powerful The temptation in the spiritual path is to ascend beyond the darkness, and this is the beauty of working with both the Witch archetype and the winter of our cycles; they show us the beauty to be found in facing our truth and the possibility there is to be reborn. In each of our cycles, we have a liminal space - that phase between where we are and where we are going, or the phase between wake and sleep - and it is in this liminal space where the magic occurs. We love the Gabriel Knight series, but Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned is the kind of game only a parent could love. It follows Knight's adventures in France as he tries to solve a kidnapping case that involves the Holy Grail and a set of vampires called "The Night Visitors". What makes Gabriel Knight 3 such a dicey proposition to play is its questionable presentation. Sierra forced Jane Jensen and her team to make the game fully 3D, which they were neither equipped to accomplish, nor comfortable doing. So it's a technical nightmare that plays very awkwardly, and it gets in its own way. The highs remain quite high, since this series uniquely captures the feeling of being a detective investigating a case. It's just... very difficult to recommend.
