It's Kate's last episode hosting Forever35! But before we send her off, she and Doree bring producer extraordinaire Samee Junio on for a full-circle moment. They discuss how the pod has changed them all for the better, Samee's latest “foot care as self-care” practices, the intensity and joy watching wrestling has brought into their life, and how someone might be stealing their Tatcha products one face-sized scoopful at a time. There are two people without whom the podcast would literally not exist: one is Episode 87 guest Susan Miller, who introduced Lauren and Nicole to each other, and the other is today's guest, the unparalleled Samee Junio, who recorded OUR VERY FIRST EPISODE and heard ALL OF OUR SECRETS! Currently the Senior Audio Producer for Entertainment Weekly, Samee (they/them) grew up the youngest of five children in white, conservative, megachurch-heavy Colorado Springs, and used to change out of the dresses their parents made them wear as soon as they got to school. Today, their identifiers include non-binary, certified Good Boy (TM), horse girl, and of course, "human bowl of noodles." Samee shares the hilarious significance (and non-significance!) behind some of their many tattoos, and tells us the most emotionally-crushing, gay teenage angst story we have EVER heard. Plus, we stop being polite and start getting real about L.A.'s too-cool-for-school queer scene!Follow Samee on Twitter at @it_your_sam for tattoos, pizza, and pups! Also, the L.A. LGBT Center's safe 'n cozy social groups that we talk about at the end of this episode can all be found online at https://socialnet.lalgbtcenter.org/social-networking-groups/.

On today's episode I have the Creators & Producers of the new Netflix show, "Historical Roasts", Eddie Furth and Ryan Pigg! I first met Eddie and Ryan very briefly in passing during my time at Meltdown when Historical Roasts and Fictional Roasts were regular shows at NerdMelt. However, this was the first time we've actually sat down and talked and it was such a great time! I talked with Eddie and Ryan about their time as interns at NerdMelt and how they created the show during one of their shifts, how the concept for the show evolved, bringing our mutual friend Samee Junio on as a Producer, selling the show to Netflix, working with Jeff Ross, seeing it on The Tonight Show, and so much more! A huge thanks to Eddie and Ryan for taking the time to come and join me on the show. They've had an incredibly busy week with press and the premier of "Historical Roasts" and were kind enough to still squeeze this in. Make sure you tune in starting TONIGHT at Midnight on Netflix and watch the show. The cast of these episodes are incredible. So much work went into making this show possible and I couldn't be more excited for Eddie, Ryan, and Samee to have the show that hatched in a small comedy room in the back of a comic book store come to life on Netflix. Thanks, Eddie and Ryan! Enjoy the episode!
