Love, marriage, and face-sitting fantasies—we're throwing it all the way back to May 1, 2015, when The Kid welcomed Don Tang, Pootie Tang, and Red for a newlywed couple's therapy session disguised as a podcast. Topics include: marital sex expectations, toe-jam denial, the politics of cunnilingus effort, and surprise pussy wake-ups. We spiral into vajazzled anatomy, piss strategies, gaping butthole commentary, and a breakdown of why Hooters waitresses look 70 at 20. Add a debate over women on the $20 bill, a silicone football penis, and some gloriously awful attempts at romance, and you've got yourself a certified Deep Show classic. Bonus: Pooty might poop herself, but Red definitely poops on the vibe.
You ever hurt your nut so bad you contemplate your whole life? Welcome to this Retro Rewind edition of The Goin' Deep Show, where we time-travel back to May 6, 2013—Episode 1166—aka “It's All About My Balls.” The Kid is joined by Don Tang and Pootie Tang for a no-filter, no-facts-needed bender through semen strategy, contraceptive paranoia, chunky cheerleaders, ball trauma, and the eternal philosophical debate: Are all women whores? We kick things off with Kid praising his dog Rosie while also questioning her sanity. But let's be honest, Rosie was the least chaotic character in this studio. From there, the crew dives into the terrifying possibility of trusting a woman to take “the pill,” leading to a full-blown (pun intended) discussion on where and when loads should be deployed. Spoiler alert: nobody wants babies, and everyone's terrified of surprise fatherhood. Pootie, who may or may not have swallowed something other than beer, joins the boys in ranking bodily fluid experiences, debating the flavor profiles of boob milk, and explaining the fine art of porn-style swallowing. Don Tang confesses he's been “bitten” before—emotionally, financially, and likely by the legal system. We take a detour into Thunder territory with a debate about a cheerleader's weight and what it takes to be considered “professional” (according to our panel of adult man-children). Somehow, Mother Teresa ends up in the conversation about sexual pasts. Yikes. Then it's on to the tale of Kid's tragic bike ride where his left nut nearly ascended back into his body. Mid-ride, he reached down to do the classic nut-to-thigh rescue maneuver and ended up injuring himself so badly he had to dismount and reevaluate his life choices. Don Tang recommends the stand-and-shimmy technique. Pootie just wants everyone to know she wore yoga pants with Star Wars gear, and that's really what matters. By the end, we're talking mushrooms, party buses, backcracking-induced boners, and the logistics of transferring iTunes music as a gateway to blowjobs. In conclusion: we laughed, we cried, someone's testicle went into hiding, and no one learned a damn thing. Just the way we like it. Go Deep!

Kevin and Charlie saw Captain America: Brave New World in theaters this week. The internet has been buzzing with "hot takes" on the movie and how much it TOTALLY SUCKS and RUINS AMERICA and LITERALLY THE WORST THING TO HAPPEN IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD. We don't exactly agree with that here. If you're a long time fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, give the movie a shot and listen to our thoughts. Alternate titles* - Captain Falcon - Captain America: They Fly Now? - Bring back Thanos - The Kool-aid Man Goes to D.C. - Not My Captain America - Oh So Captain America is WOKE Now? - Reshoots: The Movie - Harrison Ford When He Thinks About Star Wars You can listen to a new episode of our show on Spotify, iTunes, and Podbean every Tuesday night at 8:30 PM EST! Episode Description: On this episode of the Nonsense Podcast, we dive into absolute chaos, starting with an AITA story about a girl who was given a gay intervention—despite never actually being gay. Somehow, she gets gaslighted by her own friends... and Henvincible?! Then, FNBob delivers a brutal takedown of Valentine's Day, calling it overpriced and exhausting, before putting Henvincible on blast for being a light-skinned lover boy. We shift gears into gaming, where Henvincible is all in on Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and FNBob hypes up Capcom fighters and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. And finally, we wrap things up by showing love to our favorite Black movies, from Meteor Man to Pootie Tang and The Last Dragon! Episode Highlights:
Christmas comes early as the boys are joined by new team member Haley Burden to knock down the Festive Four X-mas classics to one award-winning movie as it joins our esteemed Holiday Cheermeister Award Championship Hall of Fame. Who will be crowned King? We may even have a Special Guest from the Far North! No, not Canada. Great Law. Less Legal. Law Done Lite!
This week! We watched the hilariously unintelligible, "Pootie Tang!" Listen in as Ryan explains the cultural significance of this film (if only amongst his friends) and Kayleigh critiques the costuming all while they dane on the cherries. That damie stays my hammie. Forever sine on the cappa pane. Sada tay. If you think you know what that meant then you're likely in a very specific age range. For April's theme of AWKWARD LAUGHTER 2: THE FLOP we're reexamining some comedies that didn't do very well at the box office but have managed to find a little bit of cult appreciation since their release. Today's talk is like a few selections this month in that its spins out of some solid sketch comedy background. This character was introduced on The Chris Rock Show and it got the green light for a feature film directed by none other than Louis “Look at me rub my weiner” C.K. who wrote for The Chris Rock Show and created “POOTIE TANG” the hero of the 2001 comedy of the same name. It was alleged to originally be called “POOTIE TANG IN SINE YOUR PITTY ON THE RUNNY KINE” for theatrical release. The characters are rich and fun but making movies is hard and post-production can really hurt a film project. This may be the case as C.K. claimed to have been released from the project after shooting. The editing in this movie is…fucking rough. Can the inherent charm overcome the final execution? We will let you know if you just play the damn episode. Sada Tay. Or, the Death of Cinema podcast Nicole Veneto joins from Boston to discuss Alex Winter and Tom Stern's irreverent, gag-filled 1993 monster comedy 'Freaked'. The film is a genuine cult classic that was greelit, following the success of the Bill & Ted films and Winter and Stern's short-lived MTV program 'Idiot Box', with an impressive $12 million budget and then quickly killed by 20th Century Fox after a change in management. We discuss the film's unique cacophony of styles, taking inspiration from a number of cultural objects including Zucker Brothers comedies, punk rock legends Butthole Surfers, classic beach party films, and The Evil Dead movies. Then we praise the legendary team of practical special effects and makeup artists (including veterans of John Carpenter films like 'Big Trouble in Little China' and Chuck Russell's classic 1988 remake of 'The Blob') who brought the hilarious cast of freaks to life. Finally, we detail the executive decisions that very nearly railroaded 'Freaked' out of existence, and eulogize the brief moment in time when big studio money was willing to gamble on spectacular, impractical filmmaking and craft. Drawing audience members in with his deadpan self-deprecation and ability to pile punchline upon punchline his decidedly low-key stage persona belies a deeply intelligent often biting occasionally absurdist worldview one lauded by discerning fans who seek a fresh yet honest update to traditional observation and social commentary. Boasting multiple stand-up appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman Late Night with Conan O'Brien Jimmy Kimmel Live! and two Comedy Central Presents specials and his latest one hour Comedy Central special Super Crazy. Quarter Life Crisis Returns for the first part of a two-part bonus finale for not only this album/series but for season 6. This episode was mainly inspired by Rome Flynn's interview on a podcast called "Mando & Friends". This week's episode features Amir Harris, who is a filmmaker, writer, editor, and podcaster who currently lives in Baltimore. Millennials always seem to catch the most hell for doing things that are deemed as "foolish" because they break traditions. There are several discussions including being the main character, a discussion about Ashanti, not being ready for greatness, going back to school at an older age, and being an advocate for black men and black boys, even celebrating milestones that don't center around marriage and children. The episode even ends with a discussion about notorious black films like "Soul Plane", & "Pootie Tang,". The most important mental shift you can make as you get altitude on your life and career is to stop thinking in terms of categories and boxes, especially as they apply to you. The spaces between categories and boxes are much more interesting than anything inside the boxes! - Liz RyanAmRock's social media Instagram: @therealamrockhl

Random Quotes: -"He's from Ireland...his voice is very Irish, obviously". -"It's so manly this film". -"When people ask me, what do I want [from films]: This!" -"A cup of tea solves everything" -"Dogs like sausages"-Sean's stunning analysis continues. Thirty years of Brad Pitt making everyone look ugly. For some reason we decided to cheat a bit this week and fulfill a promise to Mr. Robert Redford and complete his own 1992 double feature after SNEAKERS with him behind the camera for A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT. He also talks all throughout this film as the narrator which offends our sensibilities as podcasters soooooo we take a dump on this movie. Which is easy because it's no SNEAKERS. Neither is it INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE which we talk about for a few minutes. As well as the "NO!" gunfight in a river in the all timer TOMBSTONE. And then another host brings up POOTIE TANG. In his feature movie, Pootie's likeness is stolen by an evil corporation to promote poison and evil, rather than love and wholesomeness. In this episode, we interviewed Cameron and Jordan about their White People Won't Save You and the perils of hosting a podcast exclusively about white savior films, the highs and lows of the Blaxploitation era and the homages that followed, and what makes Pootie Tang such a enduring character in 2022. Born in Plymouth, North Carolina and raised in Mount Vernon, NY, Smoove is a gifted writer, comedian and actor, who continues to entertain audiences all over the world with his unique brand of comedic funk. His breakout role on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” as Leon has firmly planted him as one of the best comedic actors today. He began his career in 1999, when he moved to Los Angeles and landed a recurring role on MTV's “The Lyricist Lounge Show,” as well as featured guest spots on “The Chris Rock Show” and “Premium Blend.” This led to his first big feature film, where he narrated and starred in the cult classic “Pootie Tang,” reuniting with Rock. Smoove subsequently followed this up with a co-starring role opposite Adam Sandler in “Mr. Deeds.” After a season as a cast member on the sketch comedy program “Cedric the Entertainer Presents,” Smoove moved back to New York City where he landed a writing position on NBC's “Saturday Night Live.” He later was a recipient of the 2007 Writers Guild award for “Best Comedy/Variety Series” for his work on the show. In the standup and acting worlds, Smoove has been featured on “Tough Crowd,” “Jamie Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza,” “Saturday Night Live” sketches and recurring spots on “Late Night with Conan O' Brien,” “Everybody Hates Chris,”“'Til Death,” “Bent,” and “The Real Husbands of Hollywood.” Recently, he was seen as host of NBC's “Last Comic Standing,” the Comedy Central standup series, “Russell Simmons Presents: The Ruckus,” and shot his own one-hour stand-up special, “How I Dooz It” for the cable channel. Smoove also hosted the 2012 CLIO Awards, which celebrates the world's best commercials on NBC. He co-starred in the CBS comedy “The Millers” and is launching season three of his show “Four Courses with JB Smoove” on the MSG Network. On the big screen, he appeared in “Date Night” with Steve Carell and Tina Fey and the Farrelly Brothers directed comedy, “Hall Pass,” as well as “The Sitter” with Jonah Hill, “We Bought a Zoo” featuring Matt Damon and “The Dictator” opposite Sacha Baron Cohen. Most recently, he appeared in Chris Rock's movie, “Top Five.” Smoove's unique comedic voice has also been put to good use in animation where he did a voiceover for a role in both “Ice Age 4” and “The Smurfs 2”. Smoove's talents extend to other areas in the entertainment business. He has a development deal to create his own series in partnership with director Shawn Levy, whom he met and worked with on “Date Night.” He also expanded his comedy empire with the launch of “The Ruckus”, a comedy-based website focused on original and branded comedy content. Smoove is a car enthusiast, loves pool, is an avid sports fan and a proud supporter of the Mt. Vernon Boys and Girls Club. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and teenage daughter.

The award season is on the fast track to the big one, the Academy Awards, and it was time to revisit some of the previous Oscar seasons... specifically, the Best Picture nominees from years gone by. And to accomplish this feat of movie strength, Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessDrEarl bring in Mr Independent himself, Jeremy Burgess! First, Burgey's take on movies you should see, both in a theater and streaming... then 2002 Oscar talk. Essentially... there were only five nominees for Best Picture. Within a decade, they would allow up to ten films to be nominated. So it's our job to come up with our own lists of the other five that should have also been nominated... note: we CANNOT remove any of the existing films, we can only add to the list. And at the end of the show, the crew all submit one film each that should have been nominated, then a quick discussion on the final film, to come up with a Deuce Best Picture nominee list.
