So the Enterprise is just tooling along when a sudden visitor from the Romulan Neutral Zone arrives. It's a Romulan scout ship with a Warbird in hot pursuit! The scout's passenger seeks asylum aboard the Enterprise. As Picard orders the scout ship enclosed in the Enterprise's shields, the Warbird shrugs and heads back into Romulan space. The passenger ends up being something as rare as a Ferengi with straight teeth: a Romulan defector! He claims to have vital information about a secret Romulan base that threatens the tenuous peace between the Romulan Empire and the Federation. Picard and company have to determine if the defector is telling the truth or if he's a spy leading the Enterprise into a trap. Will Data ever figure out what a metaphor is? Will  . . .  Will Troi ever get a chance to do her fucking job?

Someone shows up sick for work -- and it's the Enterprise! The Enterprise answers yet another distress call, this time from sister ship the Yamato under the command of Capt. Donald Varley. The Yamato is plagued with random malfunctions while investigating a planet he believes is the legendary Iconia which just happens to be right in the middle of the Romulan Neutral Zone. Varley wants to make sure the Iconian tech doesn't land in the hands of the Romulans. The malfunctions cause the Yamato to explode, killing everyone on board. A stunned Picard decides to take up Varley's missions just as the Enterprise begins to experience its own malfunctions. And just to make matters more interesting, here come the Romulans . . .

The Enterprise D is charged with escorting a special passenger who has spent her life isolated in preparation for a new role. It's Salia, the soon-to-be leader of Daled IV accompanied by Anya, her protector. Salia is expected to bring peace to a world rocked by conflict due to half of their planet being in eternal daylight while the other half is perpetually dark. That's a pretty heavy thing to lay on a young person, and when she meets Wesley, romance leads her to question her fate. Young Crusher is in love, but Salia and Anya are not what they seem. Will Wes reconcile his conflicting feelings once his date goes furry? Will Andrew and Dave make a pop trivia connection between Star Trek the Next Generation and Ghostbusters? Will Riker stop hitting on Guinan?

The Enterprise heads to Gravesworld, home of famous genius, Ira Graves, to answer a distress call from his assistant? Companion? Whatever the Hell, Kareen. Graves is dying, and in a last ditch attempt at immortality, Graves secretly transfers his consciousness into Data, taking over the shared body and confessing his love to the much younger Kareen. Will Picard be able to convince “Graves” to leave Data alone? When did Jonny get so handsy, anyway? Will Data settle for a goatee?

The Enterprise is cooling its warp coil waiting three days for the USS Victory, so Geordi surprises Data with a pipe and an invite to the holodeck to play Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Geordi is immediately frustrated when Data tears through the program using his complete understanding of Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories, pissing Geordi off. When the pair retire to Ten Forward to discuss Geordi’s feelings, Dr. Pulaski butts in. She continues her prejudice against Data: is Data capable of solving a mystery when he doesn’t know the answer ahead of time? Geordi asks the computer to create an adversary capable of defeating Data, and as a result, the hologram of Dr. Moriarty becomes self-aware, insisting he be allowed continued existence. Moriarty takes Pulaski hostage and shakes the Enterprise in an effort to be heard. Picard enters the holodeck with Data and explains to Moriary he cannot exist outside of the holodeck, and promises to store him in memory until they can find a way to free him. Fucking holodeck! I swear. . . 

The boys attempt an awards show from a Quality Inn in Clearwater, FL. It's quickly thwarted by the podcast becoming sentient? We don't know. The only thing we do know is Haley Joel Osmond has something to do with it. The Star Trek Next Gen, last installment of inspirational media is analyzed in between Sean Connery and Bill Clinton trying to sex up Robot Grant. We would like to both apologize and say "you're welcome."

The Enterprise D is ordered to the Neutral Zone to investigate the disappearance of several outposts and to determine if they are the result of the Romulan Empire reasserting itself in the quadrant. The Romulans haven’t been heard from in over 50 years, so tension is high as the bridge crew tries to plan for whatever may come. Adding to the fun, Data and Worf discover three survivors on a derelict craft who were frozen cryogenically back in the 1980’s and shot out into space. Data brings the trio back to the Enterprise D, and they end up being underfoot while Picard and the crew prepare to get reacquainted with their old adversaries. Will the Enterprise be up to the task of meeting the Romulans? And what do those little stinkers want anyway? Will Data and Cryo-pal Sonny find any pit woofies aboard – And what the hell is a pit woofie? Will someone please get Whalen the 20th Century Expert up here?

The U.S.S. Enterprise experiences a weird hiccup in time followed by a distress call from Dr. Paul Manheim, a leading expert in the exploration of time. Picard and crew discover Manheim in quite a confused and troubled state, but perhaps more importantly, they also discover his wife is Jenice Manheim, one of Picard’s former flames. Apparently, Jonny stood Jenice up in Paris years ago, and now they must navigate an awkward reunion while trying to save Manheim’s life and to repair time itself! Can the crew solve a chrono-conundrum this complex? Can Beverly throw any more stink eye Picard’s way? Will Jean-Luc rekindle his lost love at the expense of reality itself? Can this get any sillier?

When a shuttlecraft with Troi aboard crashes on a remote and desolate planet, the Enterprise crew leaps into action to rescue her. When the away team beams down, they are met with some kind of living goop stain named Armus, who prevents them from reaching the shuttle, in fact, he knocks Yar into next week. Actually, next week Yar isn’t on the show, hold on… That’s right it’s the “Yar dies” episode that we’ve been talking about all season. See how it actually happens, then check out how Riker gets subsumed by the goop, and how Yar leaves an outgoing message to all her ex cast-mates on the Enterprise. Get out your hankies and get ready for an emotional ride, rockier than Troi in a shuttle as we say goodbye to Tasha Yar.

On a mission to find the missing USS Drake, the Enterprise ends up on Minos, a planet known for its proficiency in manufacturing arms and selling them to whoever has the credits. The crew discovers the planet is devoid of life, and before they can process that information, they receive a spam call from the planet featuring a salesman touting the planet’s wares. An away team of Yar, Data and Riker beams down to investigate, and soon finds themselves under siege from a series of robot drones that grow harder to beat with each encounter. When Riker is placed in a force field, Picard beams down with Dr. Crusher, leaving LaForge in command of the Enterprise. Another drone attack ends with Picard and a now-wounded Crusher trapped in an underground cave while Yar, Data, and Riker are left to fend for themselves on the planet’s surface. If that weren’t enough, the Enterprise is under attack by another drone too fast and too wiley to be tracked, and some jerk from Engineering begins giving Geordi the business and demanding he cede command. Can Picard keep Bev alive long enough for them to be rescued? Can the Away Team manage to keep themselves alive? Can Geordi silence the haters and save the Enterprise? Can someone tell us why that root tastes so bittah?

The Enterprise D enters the Neutral Zone to answer a distress call and unexpectedly ends up rescuing three Klingons who claim they were attacked by the Ferengi. After one of the trio dies from his wounds, the remaining pair, Korris and Konmel, attempt to play on Worf’s sympathies to woo him to their cause. They plan to hijack the Enterprise battle bridge and pillage the galaxy. A Klingon battle cruiser intercepts the Enterprise and demands the Klingon pair be turned over for unspecified crimes, and they attempt to seize the battle bridge by force, compelling Worf to choose sides.

This week Whitney and Heather rolled up a Technical Manual. To keep things fun and nerdy, we chose the Star Trek Next Generation Enterprise Technical Manual written by Rick Sternbach and Michael Okuda, with a forward by Gene Roddenberry himself!
