When I tell you I'm stoked for y'all to see this, is an understatement. Brenden is doing small batch Irish whiskey the right way, no shortcuts. No BS just great whiskey. But don't take my word for it , you gotta check it out. Cheers.Killowendistillery.comPatreon.com/offtopicwhiskeyBadmotivatorbarrels.com/shop/?aff=3https://www.instagram.com/zsmithwhisk...About KillowenThe most authentic of distilleries, Killowen Distillery is seated in the heart of the Mournes in County Down where horizons are framed by sweeping hills that slope gently into the sea. It is a place where old traditions and the finest natural resources have been blended to produce world class craft spirits. Our PeopleFounded by distiller Brendan Carty, Killowen's team brings together a rogues gallery of whiskey experts and enthusiasts, all driven by one thing; bringing back the character and tradition of real Irish whiskey.Brendan is active and influential in the Irish distilling world, and is obsessed with the revival of forgotten styles of native distilling. Our ProcessKillowen have selected two handmade artisan stills named Christoir (1000 litre) and Broc (800 litre). Both pot stills are flame fed and our condensers are worm tub. We believe the ancient still shape, size, flame heat and worm tub condensation help create a traditional spirit with a contemporary twist. It is our understanding that Killowen are the only Distillery to focus on purely worm tub condensers in Ireland. Our SpiritOur historically inspired, time-consuming processes allow Killowen's unique flavour profiles to echo the international whiskey of choice that where distinctively ‘Irish'. This will mean that the highly sought-after Irish product can rightfully be held in high esteem once again.Signature Rum & RaisinSINGLE MALT IRISH WHISKEYfinished in dark rum CASKS & PX SHERRY BUTTSBalancing PX Sherry & Dark Rum finishesfor the perfect flavour of the Carribean.with coconut & vanilla, figs, prunes & raisins. After aging for 5 years in Bourbon casks, this Single Malt has been divided and finished in Killowen's own dark rum casks & PX sherry butts. Life changing formulas you can't find anywhere else! Josh Sigurdson reports on the explosive breaking news this morning of the US DOJ, DHS and DOW seizing multiple oil tankers including the Russia flagged Marinera (formerly Bella 1) as the Russian warships and submarines approached to stop the US seizure. Alongside this Russian tanker, the US has also seized a second tanker named "M/T Sophia" in the Carribean. The US has ordered Venezuela to stop all relations with China and Russia and it appears we are seeing the expansion of global war and nation building before our eyes. Trump famously spoke on the campaign trail just over a year ago about how we need to stop all nation building, regime changes and war. Meanwhile, we are seeing literal globalism on display today. This isn't about drug trafficking nor even oil. This is about the dollar hegemony system and causing global conflict in order to come in with the already signed WEF edicts which 193 countries signed onto in 2024 with the UN's Pact For The Future which includes social credit, speech controls, bank controls and food rations. All they need is the right crisis. Maduro and the murderous CIA can both be bad at the same time. The manufactured crisis is far deeper than that. The Russian army is urgency evacuating the Russian Embassy in Israel at the moment as well. Trump is threatening a tariff hike if India continues to use Russian oil. China is blasting the US for an act of war against their country by stealing oil the country already paid for by cutting the flow from Venezuela. NATO is ready to put boots on the ground in Ukraine against Russia. Meanwhile, Russia and China's major ally, Iran is facing total collapse by design at the moment. Neocon Lindsey Graham is saying "to the people of Iran, help is on the way." This comes as massive protests take over the country including one city actually being taken under the control of the protesters. Yet, once again we see major western interference. Another coup. Former CIA head Mike Pompeo is boasting on X about how Israeli intelligence is disguised in the protests and helping to push the chaos further. At the same time, Trump says he's thinking of using a military option to seize Greenland for the United States. This is according to Trump in order to stop all Russian influence in the arctic. So now we have Trump saying he's ready to strike Iran imminently alongside Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Honduras and is ready to use the military to force the takeover of Greenland and Venezuela. If this isn't globalism, what is? Further conflicts include the annexation of Palestine, attacks on Syria and Lebanon as well as the current conflict between China and Taiwan and the conflict between the UAE and Saudi Arabia in Yemen. 2026 is already a rough year. No trains either. But Sandy and Tom don't give up -- which in this case is rather costly.

Pirates are not usually associated with the Great Lakes, as most folklore and real historical seafaring adventures took place on the southern high seas, such as The Bahamas or the Carribean.  That does not mean, however, that pirates did not exist in the Great Lakes region, because they most certatainly did.  The most famous of which was "Roaring" Dan Seavey, whose playground was Lake Michigan and the port cities around her. Although not having a peg leg, a hook for a hand, or likely burying any treasure, Dan Seavey's escapades on and around the lake repeatedly led to the misery of others, as he stole, pillaged, trafficked, defrauded and killed as all the other pirates of legend did, but until his dying day, seemingly was always able to beat the rap.  Scott and Mickey discuss the case of Dan Seavey, who's adventures have been told and retold for decades, as the mythlogy of his life gets more muddled between fact and fiction as the years go by.  In the opening banter, we discuss an update about Fox Hollow Farms, as well as ongoing consequences of the Ed Gein series on Netflix to the small town of Plainfield. From a shovel to a mallet, and even an aeroplane - the hammerheads really do win the prize for some of the most bizarrely shaped sharks out there. But why do they have such oddly-shaped noggins? What do they eat? Where do we find them? And why are one of the most charismatic groups of sharks in the world also one of the most threatened?  In this episode we are joined by Dr Kelly Kingon, Associate Professor at the University of the Bahamas, SOSF project leader and co-director of the non-profit CHaPO (Conserve Habitats and Protect Organisms). Kelly has been trying to find scalloped hammerhead nurseries in Trinidad and Tobago to inform conservation and management strategies for this heavily fished species. Utah GOP Governor Spencer Cox continues to pin the shooting on the left without providing any evidence to support his claims. Journalist and author, Megan Greenwell joins the show to discuss her book Bad Company: Private Equity and the Death of the American Dream. Check out the Private Equity Stakeholder Project. In the Fun Half: Howard Lutnick is laughing all the way to bank as every negative forecast for Trump's economy will ultimately benefit his family business. Another crook, Scott Bessent laughs as he denies that tariffs are a tax. A farmer in Arkansas lays out how screwed American farmers are under Donald Trump. Billions have been lost, and the only way out will be a bailout. When asked if the U.S. bombing an alleged drug boat in the Carribean was illegal he replied that the drugs on the boat were illegal. As people are losing their jobs simply for posting Charlie Kirk quotes, Brian Kilmeade flat out says that we should kill homeless and mentally ill people then offers a weak apology. Chris Van Hollen calls out New York Democratic leadership for not endorsing Zohran Mamdani. Kathy Hochul also endorses Mamdani, applying pressure to Schumer and Jeffries.
