Welcome back to EUVC Live in Malmö, where we bring you unfiltered conversations with the voices shaping Europe's venture ecosystem. In this session, Nick de la Forge, Partner at Planet A Ventures, takes the stage to share insights from an eye-opening field trip through China's climate and hardware startup ecosystem.Nick's story begins with a simple question: what if we're wrong about China's advantage? — and ends with a humbling realization of just how fast and how efficiently the world's largest manufacturing ecosystem now moves.Joined by fellow investors from 2150, Energy Impact Partners, and Compass, Nick toured factories, startups, and hyperscalers like CATL and BYD, witnessing firsthand what “scale” really looks like. The takeaway? Europe's biggest competitor isn't just cheaper — it's faster, leaner, and far more integrated.
Early Cartesians including Cordemoy and de La Forge develop but also challenge Descartes' ideas, defending atomism and occasionalism.

Data alvási ciklusaiban a rémálmok is megjelennek, a parancsnokhelyettes pedig intenzív kutatásba kezd, hogy megfejtse a nyugtalanító képek jelentését. Míg Data Sigmund Freud és Troi segítségét is igénybe veszi, La Forge új reaktormagot telepít a gépházban, a tesztüzem során azonban hiba keletkezik, az Enterprise így térhajtás nélkül marad. Amikor Data rémképei szolgálat közben is felütik a fejüket, az android veszélyessé válik a legénységre, hamarosan pedig az is kiderül, hogy a víziók összefüggésben állhatnak a makacs üzemzavarral. Send us a textEvan Cantor, Burt Rashbaum, and Roland LaForge have always been musicians. They've all worked to become professional musicians, but ultimately, they couldn't find a way to make a living through music. They never stopped playing, though. The three joined forces for the first time in the 2000s. Cantor and Rashbaum worked in the same building at the University of Colorado Boulder, and Cantor jumped in to play music with Rashbaum and LaForge as a bassist.Cantor tapped in for the bassist of a band that Rashbaum and LaForge were a part of, Too Much Jones, named after the founders and head brothers of the band, Mark and Craig Jones. On one of the nights Cantor tapped in for rehearsal, only he, Rashbaum, and LaForge came to the rehearsal room. The three decided to jam and see what happened, and they realized they could form a band on their own. Craig, wanting to step away from a long-term band project, is now considered one of the godfathers of the new project the three formed, now called The CBDs. A berendezést La Forge irányítja, aki a megfigyelt környezetről haptikus visszajelzéseket kap, a neurális összeköttetés azonban komoly veszélyeket is tartogat. TimEscape. Tim's Cape. It's all about getting high on time. Picard draws a smiley face on an exploding reactor blast, proving that graffiti is the same in the 24th century. Troi, Laforge, Picard and Data attend the most boring /slash/ misogynistic science conference on the fanciest shuttlecraft in the fleet. But everybody keeps kitting the pause /slash/ fast-forward button. The fruit got real moldy and Picard's fingernails grew ten sizes that day.
Geordi is flying to Risa, the pleasure planet, for some much deserved time off when he ends up getting kidnapped by the Romulans! Wait, the Romulans? Yes, the Romulans! Does this have something to do with the rumors the Federation is arming rebels on a Klingon colony on the Federation/Klingon border? A Klingon ambassador named Kell comes aboard the Enterprise to help Picard and the crew ease tensions and prove the Federation's innocence. The Klingon governor Vagh doesn't believe Picard for one bald minute and tensions continue to build. Meanwhile, there's a Romulan agent aboard activating the recently brainwashed Geordi! What is LaForge programmed to do? Who's the Romulan operative? And will Geordi ever have an episode where he isn't being tortured, transformed, or tormented? The crew of the Enterprise responds to messages received from the SS Tsiolkovsky, a science vessel monitoring the collapse of a supergiant star. The messages suggest, amid their rounds of laughter, that the crew has been exposed to a sudden hull breach. After the Enterprise secures the Tsiolkovsky via tractor beam, an away team beams over and finds the crew frozen to death in various stages of undress, including one who was taking a shower fully clad. A woman's body, frozen, falls into Lt. La Forge's (LeVar Burton) hands. Dr. Crusher (Gates McFadden) orders full medical examinations of the away team on their return, and finds La Forge sweating profusely and complaining about the temperature. #Startrektng #StartrekTheNextGeneration #TheNakedNow #80s #space #data #theD Check out our merch www.captainsquadrant.com

The catalog of Lockin' Out Records is having an unavoidable resurgence right now, so we went deep on the label's stamp on hardcore history. We're joined by Matt LaForge, guitarist of the LOR signees Mil-Spec, who had a key vantage point to the rise of Lockin' Out, and spoke to us in great detail about how the label's flagship bands — Mental, Righteous Jams, The Wrong Side, etc. — impacted the hardcore zeitgeist in the early 2000s. Intro song: The Wrong Side - "Feeding Time at the Zoo" Outro song: Mil-Spec - "Hall of Mirrors"
We've been Borged! Oh no! Specifically, we've been I, Borged as each of today's Borg-themed episodes are based in some way around Hugh Borg. I don't think Borg's his surname, but I don't recall hearing any other name for him. First up is I, Borg from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Crusher and LaForge have a new pet and it's a deadly Borg! A traumatised Picard's eager to use him to do a genocide and Guinan's with him. Oh no! Second we have Star Trek: Lower Decks' I, Excretus where attempts to perfect a Holodeck trial lead to Boimler getting a bit too close to the Borg and some fun, awful scenarios which happen when Upper and Lower Decks have to swap. Finally there's Picard's Impossible Box, which turns out to be both a Borg Cube used for rehab and a puzzle box that a weird hot Romulan uses for meditation when he's not getting way too close to his sister. Picard has a nice reunion with Hugh and there's a Lord of the Rings Elf who's there for some reason. 09:28 Star Trek: The Next Generation “I, Borg” 37:38 Star Trek: Lower Decks “I, Excretus” 59:44 Picard “The Impossible Box” Pedant's Corner: Charlie is going to have to recap Star Trek: Nemesis Alice Krige's surname is pronounced “Kree-Guh” Talking points include: Battle Angel Alita, Tetsuo: The Iron Man, Reanna being cancer free, Berserk, Joe Abercrombie, James Barclay, Elric, Picard would make a great Number Two in The Prisoner, Visionaries, X-Men: Fatal Attraction, Batman hologram trading cards, Matlock Bath's Hologram Museum, Star Wars: Dark Droids, Whoopi Goldberg would make a great Doctor Who, a poop joke, Nemesis of the Pod Ed Sheeran, Funny Games, James VanDerBeek, not forgiving people for reminding us that Young Sheldon exists, mocking Geoff Johns' career again, crowbarring The Legion of Super-Heroes into a recap, pesto, Grant Morrison, The X-Men's Sentient Danger Room, being tired old men, Bond themes, Miles' issues with James Bond, Alan Partridge, Orbital's The Box, Evil Goth Merlin from the TV Show Merlin, Elnor is an elf ranger, Elnor has taken a level in rogue, Elnor has only seen the Lord of the Rings movies (probably not even the extended versions), Elnor saw the 90's Three Musketeers or the Paul Anderson one, Rifts (Charlie will never run Rifts), JJ Abrams naming, weird incest siblings, Penny Dreadful, a weird The Cube room. What a treat we have for you this week in the form of Matt LaForge from the great Canadian hardcore band, Mil-Spec. They released an incredible LP this year entitled Marathon that knocked my socks off and I had to hunt him down (since the band is notoriously off of social media) and send a carrier pigeon to reach him. Fortunately, it worked and we hopped on a call to chat about all things related to the band including but not limited to the greater Southern Ontario hardcore scene, context and the evolution of the band. Dive in and enjoy! The Titan is forced to flee after Starfleet ships arrive. Picard seeks out help from Geordi La Forge, his former Chief Engineer, now a Commodore in charge of the Starfleet Museum. The away team is confronted by the sapient holodeck version of Professor James Moriarty, and discovers that a Soong-type android containing the memories of Data, B-4, Lal, Lore, and Altan Soong, is at the heart of Daystrom and also contains the projects database they are looking for. Equipped with a Klingon cloaking device stolen by Jack (who is suffering from Picard's old neurological condition) and La Forge's daughters, the crew returns to Daystrom, where they recover the away team (minus Riker who was captured). They discover that the item stolen by the Changelings was the original dead organic body of Jean-Luc Picard. Riker is brought aboard the Shrike, where he is reunited with his wife Deanna Troi who was also kidnapped by the Changelings.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
