Yike! That little break from the show lasted a lot longer than it should! Sam and I (that would be Jill Nojack) are now back with a new episode of the show that is stuffed to bursting with an extra dose of acoustic tunes for your listening pleasure. I'd natter on about how fab the artists in the show are, but why not just listen to the show and check out the artist pages at your leisure by clicking the artist name in the playlist? In this episode's playlist: Lee Rogers - "Ida" from "Drawing Clocks". (Available on iTunes with other options on Lee's page at IndieHeart. Bella Ruse - "Dark Horse" from the CD "Bella Ruse". (Available on iTunes with other options (including a free download of "Silent Night" also available (just click the artist name to visit their page!) Aaron Berg - "Waiting for a Woman" from the CD "Songs for Madame X". Grab it on iTunes or from Aaron's prefered MP3 provider from his artist page. Dan Tindall - "Kill The Machine" from the rather redundant "Kill The Machine"! Lots of options including fabulous free downloads are available on Dan's artist page. Or just pick it up from iTunes. Debbie Miller - Tippy Toe from the CD "Fake Love". Download the tune for free from Debbie's page at IndieHeart or (better yet) grab the CD from iTunes. The Sea Kings - "Villages" from the self-referencing EP "The Sea Kings", now available on iTunes. Tom McKean & The Emperors - "Gazing at the Dying Of the Light". The CD is not yet available (watch this space - it will be do-not-miss musical event when it becomes available!) but you can get yourself two of their other songs on iTunes and hear a few more from the upcoming CD on their artist page. Carrie Graham - "I'd Give Anything" from the "Notes from the Nut Hatch" CD. Visit Carrie's website for purchase options. That's it for this episode! The Heart of the Night Show rides again on a glorious mixed bag of Indie music that is sure to please those of you who can't be constrained to a narrow definition of genres in your hunt for musical goodness. I am particularly pleased to be bringing you a new one from London's own Tom McKean and the Emperors. Their debut CD is still in the works, but I've been lucky enough to score some advance selections, and they are brilliant! The show turned out a bit "British Empire" this week with additional music from British bands The Cellophane Flowers, The Bad Hands, Fearless Vampire Killers and their Australian cousins, The Wells. South Carolina's Aaron Berg makes the only US showing this episode, but I think he holds his own pretty well. Then again, come to think of it, it wasn't too long ago that the Brits had us in tow as well. The show returns from hiatus this week with lots that is new! New artists debuting on the show this week include Lizzie Nunnery from Liverpool and Megan Paige from New Jersey. These ladies will knock your socks off! Three of the Heart of the Night Show favorite artists also released new CDs while the lazy HOTN Show DJ was on vacation, so we hope you enjoy the new releases from crashtv's "Sound Put" CD, The Daniel Iorio Group's "Hike" CD, and The James Clark Institute's "SideShow Unattraction" CD. New Jersey's Headlights on the Coastline round out what we think is a pretty fab show with a the wide variety of Indie and Unsigned music you've come to expect. This encore episode of the show takes us way back to our first show broadcast from IndieHeart.com. When the site started, we were able to con many of the magnificent artists that Sam and I had been playing for the two years we had been DJing independently into one fine beginning show from the site. This show presents some of our all-time personal favorites, including David Elias, Midnight Sweethearts, Anne Davis, Dan Tindall, Wry Dawn, and Ross Crean. I can't think of a single show that better respresents the music that we love and hope that you will love, too. Our first encore episode during the IndieHeart staff hiatus reaches all the way back to November of 2006 for some terrrifica music by Guy Michetti, Ady Ferguson, Thornton Creek, Tim Tibbitts, Adrienne Pierce, and the Peter Roy Project. We think the music speaks for itself. Then again, that never stopped us from prattling on a bit, did it? We haven't changed much in two years, it seems. One click subscription!

This encore episode of the Heart of the Night Show reaches back to August of 2006 to run the gamut with an all out bit of madness from refrag (New Zealand) to a gentle acoustic tune from Misanthropy (UK). In between, tunes from a great gaggle of Canadian musicians, including Melissa McClelland, LoadPuller, Tim Tibbitts, Carly and Mark, and Daniel Iorio. The show ends with Iowa's Circle of Friends and show hostess, jill no jack, taking a turn as vocalist to poke a bit of fun at everyone's favorite "Pop Princess", Britney Spears. (Yeah...that's right - everyone is taking a turn at that these days, eh? It's starting to not even be fun anymore.) One click subscription in iTunes! One Click Subscription!

This last show before the HOTN show goes on hiatus brings you some terrific new songs. England's crashtv has been kind enough to grant the Heart of the Night Show an exclusive track from the upcoming CD, Soundput, and I think you're going to dig it! This show also includes a wonderful acoustic pop tune from Paul Liddell's new EP, New Thing Coming, an out-of-character but beautifully sad acoustic tune from Colorado's Our Funeral Forgotten, and some good old rock 'n roll from New Jersey's Headlights on the Coastline and Wisconsin's Certain Stars. We round out the show with Mr. Sexy Voice from Pakistan himself, Moby.MK.II. (The guys listening to the show may not get it, but we ladies need a treat once in a while, don't we?) It's been a long time since our last show, and we hope that you have all been waiting breathlessly to hear the music we have in store for you! We mix it up genre and location-wise this week with show favorites Dan Tindall (Northern Ireland), David Elias (Hawaii), Ross Crean (Chicago) and Christopher Martin Hanson (San Francisco). Then, we throw in new IndieHeart.com favorites Ceili Moss (Belgium), and Our Funeral Forgotten (Colorado) for what we think is a terrific worth waiting for. David Elias brings us a new live tune with some hot sax, Ross Crean gives us another from his latest celtic CD, Blackwater, and Our Funeral Forgotten demonstrates that even the roughest rockers need to take it back to the basics every so often. The show runs the acoustic gamut this time (as it often does) with a very traditional Russian Hurdy Gurdy tune performed by Andrey Vinogradov to the extremely contemporary (and really only marginally acoustic, we must admit) song from Australia's Ginja Roe. Melvern Taylor makes his second utterly fabulous appearance on the show this week, because we can't get enough of his music (who could, really?). Will Derryberry, hailing from California, leads off with his debut appearance on the show. We predict Will may soon be too big for us, so make sure you take a listen on the show while you can! The show also includes Wil Maring's pretty country-flavored folk and the usual exceptional fare from Canadian composer/musician, Marc Descoteaux. One click subscription!
