Conner Bible Reading:“… Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.” (Romans 13:14, NIV)My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.” (Psalm 27:8, NIV) Every day, all day long, we face one decision after another. Sometimes these choices are practical: What do I need from the grocery store? Or how much money should I pay off on the credit card? But other times, the dilemma is a matter of the heart – a tug-of-war between what I should do and what I want to do. Even more seriously, a decision between what we know to be right and what our conscience tells us is wrong. When choosing between what we think we want and what the Lord desires as his best for us, the struggle can be REAL. The allure of the world is powerful. Especially in this modern, technology-driven era, where even our devices are labeled with the pronoun “I,” the pull of selfishness and self-focus is strong, to say the least. The phones in our hands provide us with constant access to commercialism and propaganda that suggest it's all about me and that I should have or do anything I want simply because it is available or sounds appealing. And though we may logically identify the potential pitfalls in these scenarios, when our emotions or sinful desires kick in, the waters of clarity can be quickly muddied. The Bible says, “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? (Jer. 17:9, NIV). Do you agree? I certainly do. There have been many times in my life when I rationalized or justified decisions without even realizing what I was doing, only to come out on the other side, shocked that I had made such a choice. Why? Because my own heart deceived me. Paul, in his letter to the Romans, shares a similar sentiment when he states, “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God (Rom. 3:10-12, NIV). Even when we are trying to walk with the Lord, it is so easy to choose what we want rather than to intentionally seek God’s will first and then wait upon him for direction. We are terrible at waiting, aren’t we? We want our entertainment instantaneously, our food fast, and our products delivered to our doorstep the same day we order them. Though the world around us can move at breakneck speeds, the Lord often calls us to be still and know that he is God (Ps. 46:10). To trust in him for direction and discernment. He calls us to look to him rather than our own flawed perceptions. If we are willing to run to him before grasping for self-satisfaction, we “clothe ourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ,” which will then produce his godly fruits such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-5:23). Left to our own devices and relying on our own strength can often lead us down paths we would ultimately prefer not to take. But if we choose to seek him before everything else, he promises that he will respond and provide us with all that we need. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8, NIV) If you, like me, struggle to choose God’s best over your own selfish desires, I pray today is a new day for both of us. A day where we cry out as the psalmist of old did so many years ago and declare: My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.” (Psalm 27:8, NIV) Let’s believe together that he is faithful to fulfill all of his promises, and when we call upon him, he will answer. And no matter how loudly the clamor of this world tries to overshadow our minds and hearts, may we surrender our wills to the only One who can offer us true peace and satisfaction. May we clothe ourselves in Christ. Intersecting Faith & Life: Have you ever found yourself in a situation where your own heart deceived you? If so, are you able to look back and identify where you struggled to let God influence your decision-making? How might you better approach these types of crossroads in the future? I encourage you to take some time today to write out the steps you will take the next time you face similar circumstances. Perhaps your action items might include reciting scripture, calling a friend for prayer, or simply waiting a day or two before making a final decision. Whatever that looks like for you individually, I pray you find peace and guidance as you seek God’s best for you. [1 Samuel 16:1, 7, 13 NIV] The LORD said to Samuel, "How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king." [7] But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." Melbourne • Wellington • Singapore • Dallas • Lima HOPE • FAITHFULNESS • ENDURANCE Welcome to DailyPrayer.uk. I'm Reverend Ben Cooper. Thank you for taking these few moments in the middle of your day. Wherever you find yourself today, let's pause together, open God's Word and remember the certainty of God's faithful promises. There are seasons when the future feels unclear. Plans can change, unexpected challenges appear and hopes may be tested in ways we never imagined. Yet the foundation of our confidence has never rested upon changing circumstances. It rests upon the unchanging character of God, whose promises remain dependable through every season of life. Hebrews 10:23 (NIV) “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” What a reassuring truth to carry into today. We do not hold on because we possess extraordinary strength. We hold on because the God who made the promise has never failed His people. His faithfulness reaches into every uncertainty, His goodness remains constant and His love continues to steady every heart that looks to Him. Even when the road ahead cannot be fully seen, we can continue with quiet confidence because our future rests securely in His faithful hands. So today, let's gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because Jesus Christ is faithful yesterday, today and forever, and every promise He has spoken remains trustworthy. Father, thank You for every promise You have faithfully fulfilled. Thank You that Your character never changes and that Your goodness continues to lead us with hope and confidence. Send us your feedback — we're listeningGalatians 6:9 — Do Not Grow Weary in Doing Good Live from our studios in London, England — where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope. Adelaide • Queenstown • Singapore • Denver • Montevideo PERSEVERANCE • HOPE • FAITHFULNESS Good evening, and welcome to DailyPrayer.uk. I'm Reverend Ben Cooper. Come in for five minutes, let's open God's Word together, and let's pray. Some days leave us wondering whether our quiet efforts have made any difference at all. We have tried to be patient, shown kindness when it was difficult and continued to do what is right, yet the results seem hidden from view. In those moments, God gently reminds us that faithfulness is never wasted. Seeds planted in love often grow beneath the surface long before they appear in the light. Galatians 6:9 (NIV) “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” What an encouraging promise for this evening. The Lord sees every unseen act of compassion, every quiet word of encouragement and every faithful choice made when no one else is watching. His timing is never hurried and His purposes never fail. While we may not yet see the harvest, God continues His faithful work in ways beyond our understanding. So this evening, let's gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because Jesus Christ honours every act of faithful love and brings His perfect purposes to fulfilment. Father, thank You that nothing done in Your name is ever overlooked. Thank You that You are always at work, even when we cannot yet see the fruit of our labour, and that Your promises remain trustworthy through every season. Lord Jesus, bless every listener this evening. Bring healing to those who are unwell, encouragement to those who feel unnoticed, renewed strength to those who are growing tired and fresh hope to everyone wondering whether their faithfulness matters. Help us to keep serving with joyful hearts, trusting Your perfect timing. Holy Spirit, strengthen our perseverance, cultivate patience within us and help us continue sowing kindness wherever You place us. Across the world, from Adelaide to Queenstown, from Singapore to Denver and Montevideo, may every listener finish this day encouraged, knowing that every faithful act is precious in the sight of God. Melbourne • Wellington • Singapore • Houston • Lima GRACE • MERCY • CONFIDENCE Welcome to DailyPrayer.uk. I'm Reverend Ben Cooper. Come in for five minutes, let's open God's Word together, and let's pray. There are times when we become deeply aware of our own limitations. We may not have the strength we thought we would have, the answers we hoped to find or the confidence we wish we could hold. Yet the invitation of God is not to stay at a distance until we feel stronger. Through Jesus Christ, we are welcomed to come just as we are, bringing every weakness, every question and every need before His throne of grace. Hebrews 4:16 (NIV) “Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” What an extraordinary promise for today. God's throne is not a place of rejection for those who seek Him; it is a place of mercy, compassion and timely help. We are not received because we have earned His favour but because Christ has opened the way for us. So today, let's gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because Jesus Christ welcomes us into the Father's presence, where mercy is abundant and grace is always enough. Come in for five minutes, let's open God's Word together, and let's pray. Every day brings countless voices asking for our attention. News headlines compete for our thoughts, expectations pull us in different directions and hurried moments can tempt us to react before we have truly listened. Yet the Lord offers something beautifully different. He invites us to allow the peace of Christ to become the quiet guide within our hearts, gently shaping our words, our choices and the way we respond to every situation. Colossians 3:15 (NIV) “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts… And be thankful.” What a timely invitation for today. Instead, God's wisdom begins to shape our decisions, His grace softens our responses and His love becomes visible in the way we treat those around us. So today, let's gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because Jesus Christ fills our hearts with His peace and faithfully leads us with wisdom that never fails. Father, thank You for the gift of Your peace that reaches deeper than changing circumstances. Prayers seem unanswered. Progress feels slow. The breakthrough that once felt close appears further away than expected. During those moments, discouragement can quietly begin to whisper that nothing is changing. Many people understand that feeling. Life does not always move at the pace we would choose. There are seasons when faith requires patience. There are seasons when hope must be held firmly even while circumstances remain uncertain. It is often during those seasons that God teaches His people to trust His character more deeply than their circumstances. Hebrews reminds us of something powerful. Our hope is not built upon changing situations. Our hope is built upon the faithfulness of God. Circumstances may change. Timelines may change. Expectations may change. Yet God's promises remain secure because God's character remains unchanged. The writer encourages believers to hold firmly to hope, not because everything is easy, but because the One who made the promise is faithful. The strength of our hope is found in the reliability of God Himself. Father, thank You that Your faithfulness never changes. Thank You that I can trust You even when I do not yet see the answers I am praying for. Jesus, help me remain steady when life feels uncertain. Send us your feedback — we're listeningGalatians 6:9 — Do Not Give Up, The Harvest Is Still Coming Recorded live from London, England — where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope. Atlanta • Lagos • Singapore • Wellington • Tokyo PERSEVERANCE • HOPE • ENDURANCE Christian prayer for perseverance • encouragement when you feel weary • trusting God during long seasons • finding strength to keep going Galatians 6:9 (NIV) “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” There are seasons in life when progress feels difficult to measure. We continue praying, serving, giving, helping, working, and trusting, yet the results we hope to see seem slow in arriving. In those moments, weariness can quietly begin to settle into the heart. Many people know that feeling today. Discouragement often arrives when effort appears greater than reward. We wonder whether our prayers are making a difference. We question whether our faithfulness matters. We ask ourselves whether all the unseen work, quiet obedience, and daily perseverance are accomplishing anything at all. Paul understood that challenge. That is why he encouraged believers not to become weary in doing good. God's timing is not always our timing. Seeds planted in faith do not always produce immediate results. Yet Scripture reminds us that faithfulness is never wasted in the kingdom of God. The Lord sees every act of obedience, every prayer whispered in faith, every step taken in trust, and every sacrifice made in love. Sometimes the greatest miracle is not immediate success. Sometimes it is the strength God gives us to keep going until the harvest arrives. Father, thank You that You see every part of my journey. Thank You that even when I cannot see visible results, You remain at work behind the scenes. Jesus, help me not to lose heart when progress feels slow. Strengthen my faith when discouragement tries to take hold. Teach me to trust Your timing and to remain faithful in the work You have placed before me. Holy Spirit, renew my strength today. Replace weariness with endurance, frustration with patience, and discouragement with hope. Help me continue walking forward with confidence that God is working in ways I cannot yet see. And be thankful.” By the middle of the day, many voices have already spoken into our lives. Responsibilities have demanded our attention. News headlines may have competed for our thoughts. Pressures, expectations, and unfinished tasks may all be trying to convince us that urgency should take control. Yet not every voice deserves the final word. Not every worry deserves our attention. Not every fear deserves our agreement. There is another voice that speaks more gently and more deeply than all the noise around us. It is the voice of Christ, inviting us to step away from striving for a moment and allow His peace to settle over our hearts. Peace does not arrive because life suddenly becomes simple. Peace arrives when we remember who is walking with us through the complexity. Father, thank You for being present in the middle of this day. Thank You that Your peace is available even when life feels busy and demanding. Thank You that I do not have to be controlled by pressure, fear, or stress. Jesus, help me quiet the voices that are stealing today's peace. Where my thoughts feel crowded, bring clarity. Where my heart feels restless, bring calm. Where I feel pulled in many directions, help me rest in the confidence that You are leading me. Lord, let Your peace become greater than my worries and stronger than my distractions. There are moments when prayers seem to be answered quickly, and there are moments when we continue praying the same prayer for weeks, months, or even years. It is often during those quieter seasons of waiting that discouragement tries to find a place in our hearts. Many people listening today have not stopped believing, but they may be growing tired of waiting. They have continued praying for their family. They have continued praying for healing, provision, restoration, direction, and peace. They have remained faithful even when progress felt slow. Yet sometimes the question quietly arises: “Is anything changing?” The promise of Scripture reminds us that faithfulness is never wasted in God's hands. Every prayer matters. Every act of kindness matters. Every moment of obedience matters. Even when we cannot see immediate results, God continues to work in ways beyond our understanding. The harvest is not always visible while the seed is still growing. Father, thank You that You see every prayer that has been whispered in faith. Thank You that You have not forgotten the burdens, hopes, and requests that Your people continue to bring before You. Jesus, strengthen those who are growing weary in the waiting. Renew those who have been standing in faith for a long time. Where disappointment has begun to settle, replace it with fresh hope. Where uncertainty has increased, remind us that Your timing remains perfect. Lord, help us keep trusting, keep believing, and keep praying. It is easy to begin the day feeling as though we must somehow have all the answers before we move forward. Yet God has never asked us to know everything. He asks us to trust Him one step at a time. Before this day becomes busy, before schedules begin to fill and demands start competing for our attention, we can pause and remember that the Lord is already present in every moment we will face. The path ahead may not be completely visible, but the One who walks with us sees it clearly. Father, thank You for the gift of this new morning. Thank You for Your unfailing love that meets me before the day has fully begun. As I step into today, help me trust You more than my own understanding. Jesus, guide my thoughts, my words, and my decisions. Where I feel uncertain, give me wisdom. Where I feel hesitant, give me courage. Where I feel overwhelmed by what lies ahead, remind me that I do not walk alone. Lord, teach me to follow Your leading with a peaceful heart, trusting that You are directing my steps even when I cannot see the whole journey. Across the world, from Dallas to Auckland, from Lagos to Singapore and Santiago, may hearts be encouraged by the assurance that God is faithful, present, and able to guide every step of this day. This Sunday is Global Sunday at Family Church - the Sunday in the year when we celebrate all the different nationalities and cultures represented in the one church all brought together by one key theme - we are all saved by the blood of Jesus!Ps Ray gives an amazing message this week. He speaks abut Flags and Banners, perhaps Standards as they are often called. In Exodus 17:15 (NIV) it reads "Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner". Moses built this altar, God entrusted tribes and standards. Number 2:2 (NIV) reads "The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: “The Israelites are to camp around the tent of meeting some distance from it, each of them under their standard and holding the banners of their family.”A flag denotes our natural belonging, our heritage, place of origin, who we are etc. However, a banner is a declaration, This is where the challenge comes in Ps Ray's message...what or who are we declaring over our lives....We all need to change direction, raise our banners high to say where we are going. Flags describe heritage. Banners are declarations. Song of Songs 2:4 (NIV) "Let him lead me to the banquet hall, and let his banner over me be love".

Prayers that still seem unanswered. Dreams that still feel distant. Situations that appear unchanged despite your faithfulness and prayers. Waiting can be one of life's greatest challenges. Not because we stop believing God can act. But because we sometimes grow tired while waiting for Him to move. Yet the foundation of our hope has never been our circumstances. The foundation of our hope is God's faithfulness. His faithfulness yesterday. His faithfulness today. His faithfulness tomorrow. Father, thank You that Your character never changes. Thank You that even when circumstances shift and emotions rise and fall, Your faithfulness remains steady. Jesus, help me not to measure Your goodness only by what I can currently see. Help me remember the prayers You have already answered, the doors You have already opened, and the ways You have already carried me through difficult seasons. Lord, strengthen those areas where disappointment has tried to take root. Renew my confidence in Your promises. Help me continue trusting You when the journey feels longer than expected. Across the world, many people are waiting for breakthrough, healing, provision, direction, and restoration. We all know the Fruit of the Spirit sounds great on Sunday. But by Monday? That fruit can feel really far away. In this episode, we get real about what it actually looks like to walk in love, patience, peace, and self-control when life gets hard -- a difficult client, a team member who dropped the ball, or a season that's just heavy. This one's practical, honest, and for every woman trying to run her business and her life with faith in the middle of it.Scriptures Referenced"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."— Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." — Proverbs 15:1 (NIV)"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."— Galatians 6:9 (NIV)"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."— John 15:5 (NIV)Key TakeawaysThe Fruit of the Spirit grows -- you can't force it. Your job is to stay connected to the source and let it flow from there.Love and kindness in business doesn't mean being a pushover. You can hold your boundary AND lead with a gentle tone. Before you reply to that frustrating email or message, pause. Even five minutes changes everything.Your standards don't drop just because someone else's did. Faithfulness is showing up with integrity even when others don't.Joy is not the same as happiness. You can be in a hard season and still have deep-down peace that God's got you.You don't try harder -- you abide deeper. Stay connected to Jesus, and the fruit takes care of itself.Reflection QuestionsTake a few minutes with these this week -- in your journal, on a walk, or just sitting quietly with your coffee.Where is it hardest right now for you to walk in patience or self-control -- at work, at home, or somewhere else?Is there a situation you've been reacting to instead of responding to? What would it look like to pause first? What does your time with God look like right now? Is the root strong enough to produce the fruit you need?Who in your life or business needs you to lead with gentleness this week, even when it's hard? One Thing to Try This WeekPick one relationship or situation that's been draining you -- a client, a team member, a hard season -- and before you engage with it this week, spend two minutes in prayer first. Just two minutes. Hand it to God before you handle it yourself. See what changes.CONNECT WITH JAN:Here are all the best places and FREE stuff
How do we bless strength, adventure, and tenderness in the next generation without fear or striving? Stasi welcomes Rebekah Lovell into a conversation about her book Boyhood Resurrected, honoring the God-given design of boys and the invitation Jesus offers us to bless what is wild and good. Together, they explore how grace, wisdom, and hope meet us as we raise hearts formed by love, freedom, and faith, in a demanding culture. And friends, as we talk about boys being “wired for wild,” we are not diminishing the unique and glorious ways girls are wired for adventure as well. While most Captivated episodes are directed toward women, this conversation turns toward nurturing boys in a world that too often misunderstands or diminishes them.…..SHOW NOTES:…..VERSES: Hosea 6:3 (NIV) – Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. Today we get LOUD for the 100th time on the LTWL podcast. I started this channel 3 years ago as a way to break down the walls of beauty standards, create a space for inspiring conversations with beauty founders and creators, and leave viewers with more positive outlooks. I've thought about quitting many times. So why am I celebrating today? I am celebrating because I kept showing up for the dream and passion I had. Regardless that I haven't seen "success" in terms of numbers because I have gained success in the conversations had and continuing to get LOUD. Isaiah 43:18-19 NIVForget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. This passage from the prophet Isaiah, offering God's words to the people of Israel, is both beautiful and poetic. As followers of Christ, we can apply these promises to our own lives because God has opened every door and provided every gift He holds in His storehouse for us through Jesus.God has created for us a way out of the past and into the realm of the new He has made. He wants us to see, understand, and embrace all He has for us. In what was once a wilderness, He makes a way and what once was a wasteland, He creates a stream. That, my friends, opens up the doors for us to not only set new and exciting goals for our lives, but actually see them come true.Listen to The Message Bible's version of this passage: “Forget about what's happened; don't keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I'm about to do something brand-new. It's bursting out! Don't you see it? There it is! I'm making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.Declare this with me: I will forget the former things; I will not dwell on the past. I will see the new thing that God is doing! He is making a way in my wilderness and a stream in my wasteland. (from Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV) Let's commit this to prayer: “Father, thank You for the new thing You are doing in my life. I receive it and want to see it happen. Bring Your way, create Your stream, through my life to live as You desire and designed me to live. As above, so below.”
Ever wish you could be unbothered—the kind of person who doesn’t spiral when things go sideways? In today’s devotional, Laura Bailey shares a heartfelt story about her friend’s tough day, a voicemail full of frustration, and a powerful moment of conviction from the Holy Spirit. What started as venting turned into a moment of humility—and a reminder that being “unbothered” doesn’t mean we ignore hurt. It means we choose grace over pride. As Romans 12:3 tells us: “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, by the faith God has distributed to each of you.” (NIV) Let this be your reminder:Being unbothered doesn’t mean you don’t care. It means you care more about the person than the problem. Join the Conversation:Have you ever caught yourself in a moment of venting—only to feel convicted later? What helps you respond with grace instead of reacting with frustration? Let us know @LifeaudioNetwork or by email. We’d love to hear your story.
