Marsh and I bring on 2 guests for the podcast on this episode, which is probably the most explosive show we've done since beginning it 107 episodes ago. I comment on the recent Vince McMahon lawsuit and horrific scandal - and it's repercussions, and the history of my coverage of McMahon.   On the guest front - a reunion between me and Mike Memphis after 30 years is a highlight for me.  I've know Mike since 1972, when he became a member of the Fred Blassie Fan Club. Mike went on to become a widely known Elvis Presley impersonator, and we discuss our history and review a call he had with Paul E. Dangerously on WEVD.   Our 2nd guest is wrestling historian Evan Ginzburg, who reviews his interview with Marsh and I with Eddie Guerrero, following the death of Art Barr. Gabe Abelson was in the trenches with us way back when the Professor created the act he used last night. Well, me, too. Gabe's credits are so staggering that I'd rather write a dopey paragraph about him joining us than give him his due .. because down deep, and on the surface, that's how comics are. Gabe was David Letterman's head monologue writer for five years. I hope I avoided writing that until after your attention span withered and you stopped reading about him. He's truly fascinating, as he's now paying the rent with a mentalism act, as well as television writing, acting & directing. This is a terrific episode. Click on it now, please. You can't help but notice the fellas have left their flirting mechanisms home, as it would have been like telling a hair-raising story to a bald-headed man. But raucous of course prevails, as these three slosh around in the well of the clubs & stages & Green Rooms & craziness of their shared world. Michele Durante has been leaving them laughing in the aisles from coast to coast! Comedian Joey Kola remembers his start in stand-up comedy and can't believe he survived. “Joey Kola insults the Mayor, Jackie turns off the hockey game and the crowd gets rowdy, Peter bombs a joke onstage but does not hear crickets, he hears sheep!” As a stand-up comedian for 40 years, Joey Kola has performed for hundreds of thousands of people throughout his career in the US, Canada and England. His high energy, spot on punch lines, and fast delivery assault an audience like a comedic freight train. Joey's topical and timeless material combine to always make his audiences laugh hard. Joey has worked at countless comedy clubs, colleges, casinos, theatrers, cruise ships and corporate functions. Kola's also proud of the success he's had in raising great amounts of money for the many different charities he currently supports. Joey Kola's TV credits include, "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", The Late Show with David Letterman", "The King of Queens" with Kevin James, "The Martha Stewart Show", "Comedy Central Presents Joey Kola", "The Rosie O'Donnell Show", Comedy Central's "Premium Blend", The Rachael Ray Show, Jimmy Fallon and CBS's hit show "Kevin Can Wait" staring Kevin James, where Joey also plays the role of "Larry Anderson", the corn eating Assistant Principal on the show. Joey has been voted Best TV Comic 5 years in a row by Time Out NY magazine. He has warmed up many shows, such as "The Rosie O'Donnell Show", "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" with Meredith Viera, "The Late Show With David Letterman", "The Apprentice" and "Survivor" Finales, "The Jane Pauley Show" and CBS's "Wake-Up with Ali and Jack", "The Marriage Ref" produced by Jerry Seinfeld, "The Late Show" with Stephen Colbert and "The Chew". Joey continues to be a "regular" on and audience warm-up for Rachael as he goes into it's 15th season.
