In honour of our home stations 3CR's 50th anniversary we are delving deep into the archives for a show full of former presenter's stories 

At its peak in the late 1950s, there were over 4,000 drive-in movie theaters in the U.S., with nearly 70 in Iowa. Today, there are four drive-in theaters operating in the state. On this episode, we hear from operators of three of the remaining theaters. Then, we talk with Iowa's new poet laureate, Paul Brooke.

Do you remember Pelican's Wharf restaurant in San Antonio? The eatery was located on N.E. Loop 410; there were also locations in Corpus Christi and Austin. If you remember the restaurant, you may also recall the Pelican's Cheesecake! The restaurant may have been lost to time, but the cheesecake recipe doesn't have to go the same way.
