Tomi Known the world over as one of the original members of one of the most successful funk/rock/R&B bands of all time, Cameo, Tomi has always been an integral part of the groups success. Over the course of his career, and over 17 million records sold, his distinctive tenor has helped de$ne the groups signature sound as much as partner and co-founder Larry Blackmon's "Ow" has. He has also co-written, along with Blackmon, many of the groups biggest hits, such as "Candy", Word Up", "Single Life", "Flirt", "Back and Forth", “She's Strange” and many others. In 1989, Tomi’s eponymous LP was released on Elektra Records. Despite packed with great songs and strong guest stars like Branford Marsalis and Betty Wright, unfortunately, internal problems led to Electra dropping the project. His next solo effort was the independently produced The Way in 2009. With strong production assistance from good friends Marvin Sperling and former Time member Jesse Johnson, the potent mix of tight funk and jazz influenced mid-tempo jams gave Tomi a chance to write and do the music that he felt in his heart and soul. Now with his brand new EP, A Life To Remember, the singer, songwriter and producer has tapped into a deep well-spring of creative and exciting, wholly original music. Hence the title, A Life to Remember is the latest from Tomi and the lyrics are perfectly tailored to him. He didn’t write them specifically for me, but it’s one of those magical occurrences in music that you can’t help but celebrate and embrace.”

A. Deep Live Presents: Grady Thomas is a former member of the bands Parliament and Funkadelic. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, inducted in 1997 with fifteen other members of Parliament-Funkadelic. Thomas lives in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Thomas started out in the late 1950s as one of The Parliaments, a doo wop barbershop quintet led by George Clinton. In 1977, Thomas (along with original Parliaments Fuzzy Haskins and Calvin Simon), left Parliament-Funkadelic after financial and management disputes with Clinton.
