At the heart of a relationship struggling with the wound of distrust lies the emotion of fear. A fundamental aspect of the human mind that can trigger various extreme behaviors. The constant worry about potential adverse events and whether the partnership can withstand such challenges undermines trust. It breeds paranoia and suspicion, casting a shadow on our relationships. Recognizing that behaviors exhibited in survival mode do not reflect each other's true self or the relationship's inherent potential is crucial. Maybe you overcompensate for past fear and stresses; our wounded inner child seeks to prove its ability to conquer fear by deliberately challenging it and engaging in unnecessary risky behavior to prove our fearlessness. When we undercompensate our feelings of fear, uncertainty, or trust issues, we often exhibit behaviors marked by anxiety, suspicion, paranoia, and a tendency to close off or become overly controlling in our relationship. The ability to navigate the pains of loss and regret is foundational for building relationships anchored in trust and loyalty. When we successfully process and communicate these difficult emotions, we create a safe space for genuine trust. This means genuinely believing in our ability to handle whatever comes our way, and it's all made possible through open and honest communication. The wound of loss can begin from an early age; maybe we saw our families go through significant loss, or we were forced to move around as children, or perhaps we went through our first significant heartache as a teenager. Regardless, the wound of loss is the fear of change and the unknown. The ups and downs of life trigger the wound of loss. When you don't have the tools to move through the storms in your life, you might overcompensate by holding on tightly and trying to control your environment to avoid loss or change. When you undercompensate, you take an avoidance stance, never fully feeling the emotional depths of your most genuine desire to avoid ever experiencing loss. Both coping mechanisms are created to protect us from what we can't control, but ultimately, cause us to experience the very thing we wish to avoid. Having the tools to move through the tsunamis in our lives allows us to learn how to be resilient. Learning about the impermanence of life's cycles enables us to understand that a down season will follow every high season. Having the strong foundation that you can get through anything life throws at you and changing our perspectives to what is this here to teach me. We're covering a banger of an album today, folks. Timely!! is the sixth studio album from singer Anri and has a couple of her signature songs, Cat's Eye and I Can't Stop the Loneliness. Cat's Eye was the opening for the 1983 anime of the same name and would go on to become one of the highest selling singles of the year. The album soared up the albums charts and was reissued in 2008. This version had remastered versions of every track, but also included Remember Summer Days, which at that point had only been available as a B-side to the single I Can't Stop the Loneliness. The remaster is the version most widely available now and Remember Summer Days has gone on to become a city pop classic. This week on Kaizoku Uncharted, Jenae and Jakia hijack the end of the news segment by sharing news that they believe is the real news of the day, something to truly look forward to. The crew dives first into the sports anime this week. Justin and Jenae continue with their bashing of Lily from Birdie Wing, Jenae thinks she got too much screen time and Justin doesn't want to give Lily the time of day and thinks Anri is no better. In Ao Ashi, Jakia is worried for Aoi, Yuma is the guy and Jakia always knew it. Justin wonders if Jenae got the Aoi confessional she wanted and they debate what it means to be a rival. In Tomodachi Game, it's getting real! The crew is concerned for Tenji and Jakia makes the case that Yuichi may betray him because he doesn't need him. We get your “why 5e?” questions answered. Dark Souls The Roleplaying Game was announced this week by Steamforged Games. We got in touch with the game's designer, Richard August, to discuss the kind game that it is and how it's all going to work. The announcement also came with the news that it would use a Fifth Edition compatible system. Many fans of the videogame series complained about this online, partly it seemed because of the natural distaste players have for the world's most popular roleplaying game (i.e. because popular things are popular to dislike) and the existence of the Japanese Dark Souls Roleplaying Game. You'll have to listen to the podcast to hear Richard's answers to that question in full – but in short: if the biggest problem many have with Fifth Edition is that you only have the verb ‘hit stuff' in the game, then using it for a game that is, fundamentally, about hitting stuff, makes a lot of sense.We discuss the kinds of adventures we expect players to be going on in the game, and try and unpick the thorny question of how to create new storylines in a world that's so well defined in player's minds. The Onion Knights of Caterina have decided to wage a crusade against The Deep. You and your party have to shepherd them through the world on their way to confront Aldritch. Naturally, they're very good natured, but easily tricked by other characters. A classic ‘herding cats' adventure.2. Orphanage breakout. Set before the sludge-slugification of Aldritch, when ferrying fresh bodies to the Cathedral of the Deep, players attempt to break into the Cathedral before it was fallen, and stop the grotesque consumption – possibly saving Anri and Horace from their childhood horrors.3. Overdue. In the Undead Settlement players find a powerful spell book in the boarded-up house of a reclusive hermit, along with his body. A final note left by the wizard laments that they never returned the book they borrowed from the Grand Archives. Can the players make it into the archive, and can they return the book without incurring any deadly late fees?4. A Box is a Box. Ludleth, the only remaining Lord of Cinder not driven mad, loves an experiment. While he yearns for the Transposing Kiln, he also has other ideas – mimic experiments. Can the players collect and transport three Mimic chests back to Ludleth so he can perform his strange experiments, without losing their heads?5. Snappy Reunion. The swamps near the Crucifixion Woods have become impassable because of the giant crabs. They've gone completely wild. On closer inspection, they appear to be looking for one of their offspring. Can the players find the baby crab in the Catacombs and return it to its parents?6. Greirat Rescue Squad. The thief has gone missing on his most recent mission to Lothric Castle, you suspect he is being held, once again, in a cell somewhere in the castle. ANRI is an underground Techno japanese artist and owner of [YO͞ONƏˌSEKS]. A trip to Tokyo in 1999 gave Anri her first taste of electronic music and there was no looking back. In 2010 she moved to Melbourne, after visiting and discovering a flourishing techno scene. 2014 saw a move to Berlin. With years of experience behind the decks on many stages from clubs to festivals, Anri has honed a unique techno sound that moves from experimental and challenging techno to melodic and deep and takes the dance floor on a journey into inner spaces held by her gentle feminine power. Sy was die wenner van die Pretoria Skole Idols, top Akademiese presteerder en op die leerlingraad van haar skool toe Anriëtte van der Riet se hele lewe in Februarie 2013 verander het… Sy het by die skool inmekaar gesak na sy die gevoel in haar bene verloor en hartkrampe gekry het. Sy is met Marfansindroom en ‘n lekkende hartklep gediagnoseer. Marfansindroom tas die bindweefsel en organe in die liggaam aan en veroorsaak ander gesondheidsprobleme wat met tyd die een na die ander na vore gekom het van sig- en longprobleme tot lae bloeddruk, fibromialgie en slaap apnee en elke simptoom wat daarmee gepaardgaan. Sy het kroniese pyn in haar skelet, spiere en vel. Haar hande word erg beïnvloed en die probleme in haar heupe maak dit nou ook al hoe moeiliker om te loop. In 2015 is Anriëtte se ma, Mariëtte medies ongeskik verklaar weens sigprobleme. Sy kan net buitelyne sien. Die gesin het 'n mediesefonds as deel van Mariëtte se voordele, maar dis slegs 'n hospitaalplan. Mariëtte is ook in 2018 met fase 2 (en later fase 4) borskanker gediagnoseer. Sy is onlangs weer daarvoor opgeneem nadat dit aan die lig gekom het dat daar aktiewe kankerselle in een van haar bene was. Anriëtte se Pa, Anton wat ‘n huweliksbevestiger is, het in dieselfde jaar 'n noodoperasie vir sy rug ondergaan en sukkel ook met sy gesondheid. Ten spyte van haar konstante pyn en behandeling, het Anriëtte al verskillende projekte aangepak om fondse te help insamel vir haar familie – meeste van hierdie projekte is iewers vanuit ‘n hospitaalbed gereel. Sy studeer tans teologie en werk ook om self haar studies te help betaal. Anriëtte se siekte het vinniger vererger as wat enige iemand kon voorspel en haar lewenskwaliteit het vinnig afgeneem. Daar is nie veel kenners nie, maar hulle het ‘n dokter gekry wat saam met neurosjirurge, neuroloë, fisioterapeute, biokinetici, narkotiseers, kardioloë, en ander spesialiste werk om die beste behandeling (of ten minste net verligting) vir die pasiënt te kan gee.

Celebrated Albanian artist Anri Sala has gained international attention for his video, animation and photographic works. With an emphasis on slowness, stillness and intimate detail, Sala explores the interface of documentary and fiction, with his work rooted in memory, history and a delicate navigation of political and social contexts. In October, Anri Sala will visit Australia to unveil an innovative new installation of sculpture and sound, The Last Resort, co-presented by Kaldor Public Art Projects and Art & About Sydney. While in Australia, Sala will visit Melbourne and join Shepparton Art Museum director Rebecca Coates for this very special in-conversation event at MPavilion. This event will be Auslan interpreted. Born in Yokohama, Anri’s was surrounded with the booming hiphop scene in her home town. A trip to Tokyo in 1999 gave Anri her first taste of electronic music and there was no looking back. Inspired by many techno dj’s in Tokyo she moved there later that year. Her first gigs in Tokyo in 2003 quickly built her skills and her sound - finding her sonic niche, and gathering bookings all over Japan. In 2010 she moved to Melbourne, after visiting and discovering a flourishing techno scene. There she began a residency on Steve Ward's Kiss FM radio show “Chameleon Recordings Radio”, where she quickly gained a loyal following. Steve’s Ward’s influence also did not end there, with Anri moving into music production as she delved deeper into the world of Sound Design by enrolling at the Electronic Music Academy. As an artist on Chameleon’s roster she headlined parties for their events in Australia and Europe.2014 saw a move to Berlin with a residency at Chalet. Since being based in Berlin she has played shows in Italy, Sweden, Helsinki, Doha, Amsterdam, France, Poland and Switzerland. As well as playing at many of Berlin’s favorite clubs including Ritter Bruzke, Ipse, Golden Gate, Birget & Bier and Salon zur wilder Renate as a resident DJ and organizer of a regular party there called Tokyo Redlight. Anri has also toured Asia several times through Japan, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Kunming and Beijing. 2014 also saw the first release from Anri with her single “Yume” from TEAM Records in Amsterdam, released on Gem Records (Amsterdam). Different is Different (Spain). Stripped Records (UK) and Chameleon Records (Aus). With years of experience behind the decks on many stages from clubs to festivals, Anri has honed a unique techno sound that moves from experimental and challenging techno to melodic and deep and takes the dance floor on a journey into inner spaces held by her gentle feminine power. There are singers and then there are Vocal Architects. Maxayn Lewis is the latter - not only a coveted session and touring vocalist but a passionate and conscientious instructor and coach for people in all walks of life to use their voices to their maximum capacity. Just call it "The Max Factor!" The resume of Maxayn Lewis is an impressive one that includes recording with artists ranging from Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross and Celine Dion to Michael Jackson and Madonna. She has toured with Quiet Storm greats Brenda Russell and Gino Vannelli, jazz legend Les McCann and renowned blues man Bobby "Blue" Bland, as well as many superstars in the Japanese pop world such as Omega Tribe, Toshinobu Kubota, Anri, Akina Nakamori, Sanno Motoharu and Namie Amuro. Maxayn (pronounced max-ann - the "y" is silent) grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma as Paulette Parker, a region renowned for producing great musicians - from rocker Leon Russell to funk masters the GAP Band (both of which she has worked with). She came upon her vocal gifts naturally from her mother, C. Lorene Parker, who was a fantastic gospel singer but, more practically, a chef by trade. Maxayn cites her as well as the incomparable Nina Simone as major inspirations. She sang in a classical conservatory and later honed her chops in jazz nightclubs and the particularly demanding Marshall amplified music of rock clubs. Her big break arrived when the legendary Tina Turner blew into town and recruited her for a world tour. On this tour, Maxayn wowed critics and musicians alike including English rock royalty David Bowie and Mick Jagger, who referred her for gigs.
