Send us a Text Message. This week we dive into the 3rd movie in the Texas chainsaw massacre franchise and our creator profile is Viggo Mortensen! https://twitter.com/bonsai_crewhttps://www.tiktok.com/@thebonsaimoviecrewhttps://discord.gg/8jCPe8T2kT
We are firmly into franchise territory as we see the first New Line Chainsaw film. Gone is the darkness of the first and the odd comedy of the second and now we're with a new family in the woods. Can Viggo save this one? Jeff Burr does what he can.
ARE YOU READY TO GET SLICIN & DICIN WITH SIR. STURDY HORROR FANS? IF YOU DON'T KNOW BY NOW I AM YOUR HOST SIR. STURDY. Welcome to "STURD - O - VISION," where we dissect and debate the most electrifying and horrifying films in the annals of horror cinema. In this thrilling episode, we pit two iconic films against each other: Wes Craven's 1989 shocker, aptly titled "Shocker," and the 1990 continuation of a horrifying legacy, "Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III," directed by Jeff Burr. "Shocker" takes us into the dark world of Horace Pinker, a deranged serial killer who harnesses electricity to continue his killing spree from beyond the grave. This film blends supernatural elements with the slasher genre, showcasing Wes Craven's flair for innovative horror and psychological thrills. On the other side of our macabre ring, "Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III" thrusts us back into the gruesome and unforgiving world of the Sawyer family, with Leatherface wielding his infamous chainsaw once more. Directed by Jeff Burr, this film delves deeper into the dark, rural terror that has haunted audiences since the original. Throughout this episode, we'll explore how each film reflects the evolving horror landscape of the late '80s and early '90s, compare their approaches to building suspense and terror, and discuss their iconic antagonists. We'll also dive into the directors' techniques, examining how Craven's visionary style contrasts with Burr's gritty realism. So, sharpen your blades and brace for sparks as we delve deep into these two chilling tales of murder and mayhem. Join us on "STURD - O - VISION" as we decide which film leaves a more lasting scar on the psyche of horror aficionados everywhere. Will it be the electric mayhem of "Shocker" or the chainsaw-wielding madness of "Leatherface"? Tune in to find out! WELCOME TO THE MADNESS!!!!!!! WANT YOUR FACEBOOK COMMENTS TO SHOW UP ON RESTREAM? ¡Gracias y feed the cvlt!

Die Timecodes:00:00:00 Cold Opener00:00:26 Intro & Vorstellung00:01:51 Was gibts neues im Kino?00:04:59 Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 (1990)00:34:17 Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1995)01:02:15 The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)01:38:51 Ausblick, Verabschiedung & Outro
This week Lance picked a 90s horror movie that Erica actually liked! From a director whose filmography is mostly horror sequels, Jeff Burr, comes a movie about a warlock spirit inhabiting a scarecrow to kill his enemies. Plus practical effects and an orgy. What's not to love? (well, a few 90s horror cliches, but that's ok). Follow this podcast on Instagram, Twitter, Slasher, and Facebook @unsunghorrors. “I dunno about everybody else, but I certainly got a hard-on.” It's closing time at Zipper's Clown Palace, one of Hollywood's sleaziest strip clubs, when a deranged gunman (Rick Dean) strolls on in and holds the remaining patrons, as well as its employees, hostage. As a long night wears on, we come to find that our verbose villain has developed an unhealthy infatuation with Christina Martin (Maria Ford), one of the club's most popular dancers, and decides this is the night they meet face to face. Like many Roger Corman productions, especially of this era, Stripteaser is very much a family affair. Dean and Ford have appeared in numerous Concorde / New Horizons Home Video quickies (a handful of ‘em together), as have Nikki Fritz and Duane Whitaker. Duane, most often seen in front of the camera, penned the screenplay directed by Dan Golden, who stood at the helm of several Concorde films. Fans of low-budget thrillers will undoubtedly recognize the name Andrea V. Rossotto, cinematographer on more than 70 productions, a good percentage of them for Corman. Tossed into the mix is R.A. Mihailoff, who played the title role in Jeff Burr's under-appreciated Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III. Here, he's wielding bottles, as opposed to power tools, playing “Little,” the bearded, beer-bellied bartender. Though I've been a long-time fan of this micro-budget, straight-to-video epic, I never before noticed the endless padding throughout its 74-minute running time. From extended dance sequences to opening titles that seem to go on forever, Stripteaser utilizes a number of methods to maximize what couldn't have been more than a 50-page script. It's actually over 7 minutes into the film before any dialogue is spoken. Nevertheless, there's enough here to keep the viewer entertained, especially if said viewer enjoys excessively gratuitous nude scenes. There's a moment in the film where one of the dancers, fully disrobed, stands over a strategically-placed stage light and there's practically a near-glimpse of cervix. While there's no doubt that Stripteaser is a T&A film (the title pretty much says it all), some of the performances are particularly strong. Rick Dean plays a pretty convincing psycho and delivers every line (and demented cackle) as though this were a mainstream film meant to be seen by a much larger audience. Maria Ford, who probably holds the world record for playing more strippers than any other actress, has always given her all, despite the lackluster material she's so often given. Here, she plays the doe-eyed woman-in-peril to the letter. Much to my surprise, Stripteaser is available for streaming via YouTube and in its uncut, unrated version. However, if you'd like to watch using the Concorde DVD, which runs 1:14:06, please feel free to do so. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/blindragepod/message
If the Pumpkinhead franchise has taught us anything, it’s that sometimes it’s better to let sleeping demons lie. I only wish that Jeff Burr and co. had heeded that advice before deciding to make Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings. The post E123: PUMPKINHEAD II appeared first on Channel 83.
After escaping the insane asylum in which he was incarcerated, Jerry Blake impersonates a marriage counselor and manages to win over a patient and her young son.
What better way to ring in 2020 than by getting "Buzzed" by an in-depth look into the often forgotten slasher, Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III with a special introduction from the film's star, William Butler. That in of itself would be an awesome way to start off the new year but we also have a full length interview with "The Bad Boy of Production Design" Mick Strawn. As always, Mick spins some hilarious yarns about his time spent on the sets of Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, Austin Powers and a can't miss story about Wesley Snipes during the filming of Blade. This Double Fright Feature cannot be missed.HOST: Brandon A. Scream Addicts Podcast: Horror movies | Movie reviews | Horror
Leatherface: TCM III with film journalist/producer Heather Buckley This week on Scream Addicts, Jinx welcomes Heather Buckley to the show! A film journalist, award-winning FX shop supervisor, and Rondo Award-winning producer (whose latest film The Ranger is currently in post-production), Ms. Buckley has chosen Jeff Burr’s 1990 horror sequel Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III for discussion this week. With its splatterpunk aesthetic and troubled history with the MPAA, Leatherface kicks off a conversation which covers the passing of Texas Chainsaw creator Tobe Hooper, part III director Jeff Burr’s career, and the dodgy continuity which ties the franchise together. Along the way, we discuss the legendary “Excalibur” teaser trailer, how super-hot Leatherface is (!!!), and why the world needs a punk rock Leatherface. It’s a fun chat with an awesome guest, and it’s one we hope you enjoy! Make sure to scream at us on Facebook and Twitter. We are: @_HeatherBuckley @ScreamAddicts @Jinx1981
