Send us Fan MailWe had intended to drop this episode on Monday the 11th after taking a week off due to some travel. But we recorded Wednesday night the 6th and so here's the latest episode as we want things to be timely! The teams as of the weekend will have played about a quarter of the season. Does that mean Aaron Judge will hit 60 homers as he has 15 already? Not necessarily but you wouldn't be surprised would you? Framber Valdez did another crazy Framber thing. The bad teams aren't as bad as usual and the good teams not quite as good as they can be after 40 games. Our next episode features author Rob Fitts who wrote a great book about Japanese baseball. Look for it Monday the 18th. Thanks again to Mercury Maid for the Intro & Outro music. Check them out on Spotify or Apple Music! Please subscribe to our podcast and thanks for listening! The pressure is on across the NBA and MLB, and we're diving into the biggest debates right now. We start with a legacy-defining question: Does LeBron James end the GOAT debate if he beats the Thunder without Luka? Then we put stars head-to-head—who would you rather have as your #1 option in a playoff series? A healthy Joel Embiid leads the discussion against a stacked group including Brunson, Mitchell, LeBron, and more. Next, we fix the league with “One Move Away”—the single adjustment every eliminated NBA playoff team needs to make, from contenders like the Celtics and Nuggets to teams searching for direction like the Suns and Rockets. Then we shift to MLB: True or False: Should the White Sox sell high on Munetaka Murakami? Relaxed or Panicked (Hitters): Breaking down slow starts from stars like Tatis, Julio Rodriguez, Devers, and Bobby Witt Jr. Relaxed or Panicked (Pitchers): Evaluating early struggles from Crochet, Castillo, Nola, and others Buy or Sell: Which breakout starts are real and which won't last A full episode of big questions, real evaluations, and strong opinions across both leagues. ESPN's Jeff Passan and Rich break down the first month of the MLB season including the red-hot start by the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees, if the vastly underachieving Mets can turn things around and save manager Carlos Mendoza's job, and why the ABS Challenge System has been great for baseball and umpiring this season. Rich and the guys react to Fernando Mendoza's first weekend with the Raiders at their recent OTA in his first steps toward winning Las Vegas' QB1 job over Kirk Cousins. To celebrate Star Wars Day, Rich and the guys discuss their favorite characters from the franchise, and debate if Miami Dolphins fans should be concerned after new QB Malik Willis badly airmailed his first pitch at a Marlins game over the weekend. The start of the 2026 Major League Baseball season is just two days away, so now is the perfect time to take a look at the projected win totals for all thirty teams this season. There are a few interesting projections this year after a busy offseason that could influence changes in the standings from last season. On this episode of Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman make their predictions and explain why they would take the over or under on projected wins for each team. While the Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off an incredible season, being the only team projected to eclipse the 100-win mark might be a tall task. Can the Atlanta Braves surpass their projection after an incredibly disappointing season? Later, Jake and Jordan dive into the American League, where they ask whether the New York Yankees, largely running back their roster from 2025, will get over the 94-win mark. They then take a strong stance on whether the Houston Astros missing the postseason for the first time in a while last year properly reflects their projected win total for this season. 1:07 - The Opener: Explaining over/unders 4:43 - NL East 20:09 - NL Central 35:32 - NL West 46:31 - AL East 58:48 - AL Central 1:11:12 - AL West Subscribe to Baseball Bar-B-Cast on your favorite podcast app:
