Listeners of Green Industry Perspectives that love the show mention: sean,Let us know if there's a topic you'd like us to cover! Welcome back to Green Industry Perspectives! In this episode, Jay Worth welcomes Marie Ambusk to the show!A bad experience with a landscaper set Marie on a nearly two-decade journey to make things right. When the street trees in her neighborhood failed after less than 20 years, she asked the landscape company replacing them what happened. The answer, "You get what you get, lady," made her blood boil. Since then, she's not only become a Master Gardener. She's developed a way to determine if trees are going to fail. Those street trees had root collar disorder. Once she realized the problem lay in the containers and growing phase, she developed a way to inspect the root systems of containerized trees. Using ground-penetrating radar (GPR), AI, and machine-learning, she's been able to map and grade the root systems of container trees to predict failure with a stunning degree of accuracy. Phase II of her project will focus on using the same GPR technology to map defects in planted trees, saving many hours of labor in excavation to look for problems. In this episode, Marie shares why customer satisfaction, employee opportunities, and company growth and profit make the difference to your success in the Green Industry. For her, they all boil down to one core issue: establishing trust. ---Check Out the SingleOps Events Page!Check Out the LMN Events Page!---Visit the Trees ROI WebsiteConnect with Marie on LinkedInVisit the Trees ROI Facebook PageVisit the TREEage Vermont Facebook Page

Let us know if there's a topic you'd like us to cover! Welcome back to Green Industry Perspectives! In this episode, Jay Worth welcomes Rob Treppendahl to the show! Rob started a landscaping company and quickly fell into a trap that many in the industry have - trying to do too much for too many people, and racing to "hit the million-dollar mark." He did that in less than four years. But that was also the first year his company lost money. After acquiring a lot of debt (and the accompanying stress), Rob found a mentor who helped him right the ship. Now things run so efficiently that he manages his company from a different state, and he gives back to the industry through his executive coaching. In this conversation, Rob shares why knowing your numbers, finding (and staying) in a narrow niche, and great marketing set you up for success in the Green Industry. ---Check Out the SingleOps Events Page!Check Out the LMN Events Page!---Visit the Treppendahl Landscape WebsiteVisit Rob's Coaching WebsiteFollow Rob on Instagram

Let us know if there's a topic you'd like us to cover! Welcome back to Green Industry Perspectives! In this episode, Jay Worth welcomes John Perlin to the show!A physicist by training, John set out to research the history of solar power in antiquity. What he discovered, however, was transformational in our understanding of the way people relate to trees. Those discoveries led him to write A Forest Journey, a book that explains how mankind's relationship with trees has developed throughout recorded history. In the updated edition, published by Patagonia, John goes even further in time, using the fossil record to help us learn about the very first trees on Earth and explaining how humanity's relationship with them impacts us today. In this episode, John shares how trees (and our relationship to them) are vital for all life on Earth. He also shares why understanding how trees developed can inform the decisions we make today when it comes to tree management, and how there's an intersection between “good for business” and “good for the environment;” they're not mutually exclusive. ---Check Out the SingleOps Events Page!Check Out the LMN Events Page!---Connect with John on LinkedInVisit John's Website

Upon realizing this, she changed her major to horticulture and never looked back. Today, Robyn leads High Prairie Outdoors, the company she founded. Averaging between seven and eight figures in revenue and with a team of almost 50 year-round employees, Robyn and High Prairie are forces to be reckoned with. He discovered how amazing the people in the Green Industry are, and hasn't looked back since. In this episode, Dylan talks about why perseverance in marketing, emphasizing speed, and curiosity about new technologies are the keys to success in the Green Industry. -----Visit the Forge Marketing Group WebsiteCall or Text: (678)-904-5474Email Dylan: dharper@forgemarketinggroup.comConnect with Dylan on LinkedInFollow Forge Marketing Group on FacebookFollow Forge Marketing Group on InstagramCheck out the Marketing Budget CalculatorCheck out the Grade My Website ToolRead the "Agency Secrets Exposed" ArticleCheck out Video Resources from Forge Marketing Group
