    Global Mission Partners (GMP) recently hosted a webinar titled The Voice: A Christian Consideration, on the topic of the upcoming Australian referendum. This discussion was facilitated and moderated by Nick Wight and Colin Battersby (Global Mission Partners). Jeremiah Riley is a Wajarri Yamatji and Ballardong Noongar man. He has lived and worked across Western Australia as both a Native Title Lawyer and a CEO of remote indigenous communities. He currently works for Senator Patrick Dodson, who is the special envoy on the Uluru Statement from the Heart. Uncle Ray Minniecon is an Aboriginal pastor with roots in the Kabikabi and Gurang-Gurang tribes of Queensland. Uncle Ray is an advocate of climate and social justice, dedicating his life to supporting the Stolen Generations of Aboriginal people. He is an active Executive Member of the Indigenous Peoples' Organisation Australia (IPO), which is a national coalition of 300 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peak organisations, community organisations and individuals who advocate for the rights of Indigenous peoples. Uncle Ray current lives on Gadigal land in Sydney where he is co-leader of Scarred Tree Ministries. Dawn Gilchrist is a Yamatji Elder and Christian Leader. Over the years, Dawn has worked with Australian Red Cross, WA Country Health Services (Goldfields) and Wadjak Northside Aboriginal Community Group. Dawn fellowships at Subiaco Church of Christ and in 2019 was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to community health. Bianca Manning is a Gomeroi woman and Common Grace's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Justice Coordinator. Bianca has a Social Work degree and currently lives in Logan, South East Queensland on the lands of the Yuggera and Yagembeh peoples, working closely with Senior Aboriginal Christian Leader Aunty Jean Phillips in the Brisbane and Logan areas.     Eliza and David are part of the national community of people of all ages taking the Safe Water September challenge this year. Eliza is 10 years old and enjoys reading any books that have horses in them and plays netball. David is 67 years old and is married to Jo. They have 4 children, 4 in-law children, and 8 grand children, of whom Eliza is one. Eliza's family lived with David and Jo during the 2021 COVID lockdown, and that's when Eliza decided to take the Safe Water September challenge with David.     Ben is the Development manager for Sydney and the East Coast of Australia with Young Life Australia. Young Life exists to introduce young people to Jesus and help them grow in their faith.     Caitria and John are from opposite ends of the globe but were brought together in an African Gospel church in the Northeast of China. After living, studying, working, and worshipping in China for five years, COVID-19 unexpectedly brought them back Australia. Caitria currently works in Aboriginal Land Strategy for the NSW Government, and John in fundraising for World Vision Australia. They currently live and play on the lands of the Awabakal and Worimi people in Newcastle NSW.     Emma is 14 years old, and has also spent 10 of her summers being part of the McCrae SUFM team with her family. They have been a part of an incarnational missional community connecting with holidaymakers in one of Melbourne's most popular holiday destinations. Emma enjoys being outdoors, playing sport, painting and playing saxophone. She has grown up in a strong Christian family and has been involved in their church in many different ways.     Ntando Msimanga is a Field Officer with Showers of Blessing Trust, an NGO in Zimbabwe and a partner of GMP. Ntando joined Showers of Blessing in 2017 as a Field Officer and has been working full time with the team to provide clean drinking water in rural areas. He was born into the Churches of Christ in Zimbabwe, and sometimes preaches and leads Bible study there. He also volunteered at Khayelihle Children's Village prior to starting work with Showers of Blessing. He has a background in Social Sciences but also worked extensively in sales and marketing. Schoolies Rev connects the celebration of finishing school to experiences that help young people gain a greater understanding of how they fit into this complex global community of ours.
