Writer and Vlogger Tova Leigh exploits her husband Mike and forces him into no hold barred conversations about love, marriage, parenting and sex with the promise of actually cooking dinner.
In this week's episode of Till Death Do Us Pod we chatted to vlogger and YouTube extraordinaire, Amanda Muse. Amanda has been on an amazing journey, from being an airhostess (and meeting her pilot husband) to being one of the first big YouTubers of today. We talked about how COVID impacted her life and resulted in her husband starting an apothecary candle business, HelloFriendo. We laughed so much in this one, Amanda was just such a fab guest, hope you enjoy it too! #funny #podcast #tilldeathdouspod #amandamuse #hellofriendo
In this week's episode of Till Death Do Us Pod we chat to the fabulous Bea Appleby, who is a Journalist, Author & Editor of The Female Lead. The Female Lead is an educational charity which does such important work in the interest of women. We had such a great chat, one of the truly incredible projects they worked on was called Disrupt Your Feed, the project worked with young women, getting them to follow different types of women on social media, the results were amazing!. We also chatted about their new book which I was lucky enough to be included called 'We Rise By Lifting Others', which features 67 women who are leaders in their field. All proceeds from the book sales go towards the incredible work The Female Lead do as an education charity. #women #thefemalelead #werisebyliftingothers #tilldeathdouspod
This week we spoke to Mandu Reid, leader of the Women's Equality Party. We recorded this episode because International Day of the Elimination of Violence against women but talking about violence against women is sadly always a relevant topic. In our chat we explored the link between sexism and violence against women, how all of that contributes towards gender inequality and why, despite it being the most persistent and devastating human rights violation in the world, it's not high on the political agenda. Mandu talked about her party WEP's hopes and plans to end male violence against women and what changes we need to install in society to address the challenges we face. Did you know Till Death Do Us Pod has an Instagram page! Go check it out if you haven't already - www.instagram.com/tilldeathdouspod/ #tilldeathdouspod #mandureid #wep #violenceagainstwomen #podcast #EnoughIsEnough
In this week's episode of Till Death Do Us Pod we chat to Dr Philippa Kaye about why the dreaded ‘M Word' (menopause) shouldn't be quite so dreaded. October was Menopause Awareness Month but to be honest we don't need an excuse! We talked about everything from symptoms to treatments and how men also go through it (yes, you heard right). Dr Kaye is a brilliant wealth of information, she has authored some fantastic books including The M Word and Doctors Get Cancer Too. We also played our game of Two Truths & a Lie which was hilarious!! #Menopause #Perimenopause #funny #podcast
In this week's episode of Till Death Do Us Pod we chatted to Lauren and Nicole from The Self Care Club podcast. Now we all know how important self care is right? But there are so many therapies, treatments and apps out there all claiming to be the best – that's where Lauren and Nicole come in, they test everything out so that you don't have to. We chatted about how they were put together by a sex therapist, vagina steaming and butthole sunning. This is such a funny episode, you don't want to miss it! Make sure you subscribe and leave us a review if you don't follow us already on socials go to www.instagram.com/tilldeathdouspod/
Me and Mike Leigh are back for a brand new season of Till Death Do Us Pod. In this week's episode of Till Death Do Us Pod we chatted to the dynamic comedy duo, Scummy Mummies, the fabulous Helen and Ellie! These women are an absolute hoot and we had so much fun, first off we played our Two Truths & a Lie ice breaker game, we chatted about their podcast and stage shows and all the other projects they are juggling. It is also International Day so we chatted about my new book, You Did What and Helen's book, Get Divorced, Be Happy. So if you love a laugh then this is the episode for you! *This episode was recorded ages ago around the time of International Literacy Day, Enjoy!*
In this week's episode we look at some Hilariously Misheard Song Lyrics. I think it has happened to all of us – you've been singing along to a song when suddenly everyone puts down their drinks, looks at you funny and starts laughing... Yep, you've gone and got the words wrong. “Sweet dreams are made of cheese” and “Built this city on sausage rolls” are two ridiculous example of people getting things wrong. I also share my top 3 personal song lyrics that I had wrong for years and years, I had changed them all into men's names…you have to listen to understand, it is utterly ridiculous and equally hilarious.
This is our Father's Day edition of Till Death Do Us Pod and we are chatting to Mike Julianelle, a very sarcastic and brutally honest parenting blogger. Mike is 40-something dad living in Brooklyn with his wife and two kids. You would have probably seen loads of his content on Instagram under the handle ‘Dad and Buried'. We chatted to him about fatherhood, how he loves his kids but hates parenting and how he deals with trolls and furmoms. We also played a game of Two Truths and a Lie which is always so funny.
In this week's episode of Till Death Do Us Pod we are chatting to Simon Brodkin. You would know Simon as a Comedian, most well-known for his stunts, stand up shows and the characters he mimics. All sounds very standard right? What you don't know is that Simon studied and practiced medicine before leaving it all behind so pursue a career in comedy. We chatted to him about his role as a comedian, his previous life as a doctor and that time Trump had him arrested.
In this week's episode of Till Death Do Us Pod we chat to Nikole Mitchell, the pastor turned stripper. We came across her profile on Instagram, researched her a bit and thought she would make an amazing guest and lucky for us, she agreed to come onto the show! Nikole has such an incredible story, going from being a Pastor in a mega church to becoming a kick ass life coach who also happens to be an adult model.
In this week’s episode we chat with the marvelous Molly Mulshine about Diva’s and Space Trash. Molly has some super interesting views on the term ‘Diva’ and how women are labelled this way but men never are. Molly, the American, also taught Mike something new about London…you know, the city he has lived in his whole life. We played a game of 2 Truths & a Lie…you will have to listen to find out if Molly did shots with Paris Hilton at a fashion week event and if Mike really was in a Madonna music video.
On this week’s episode of Till Death Do Us Pod we are chatting to Scott Stuart, Scott is a best-selling children’s book author who is committed to creating content that empowers young kids. I first came across Scott on Instagram where he had posted a video of him and his son dressed as Queen Elsa, off to the Frozen 2 Premiere. I found his content around gender stereotypes and toxic masculinity really intriguing and knew that Mike and I had to get him onto the show to find out more. Scott recently released his 4th book, My Shadow is Pink, it is such a beautifully written book and our girls have really enjoyed it. We also played a game of 2 Truths & a Lie which is always hilarious.
In today’s episode we are going to talk about THE LIES WE TELL OUR KIDS. We don’t advocate lying to our kids but sometimes these little white lies are the only way to get things done when reason fails. And let’s be honest here, kids are not generally very reasonable people so we resort to white lies. Think of those little white lies you tell your kids to get them to eat their vegetables or tidy their mess or just to get them to behave. So Mike and I have put together a list of white lies that so many of us have told our kids…and continue to tell them, some of them are absolutely hilarious, for example “It is not coke, it’s black water and you won’t like it”.
Thursday, 6 May is international No Diet Day and I have had a lot to say about diet culture over the years. Too much of our worth seems to be tied into our weight and looks and it is just crazy to me. So they say that ‘No Diet Day’ is a time to put away the scales, stop calorie counting and to accept who we are and what we look like. We say that everyday is a good day for this, just throw the scale away already, eat the cake and get on with enjoying your life. Mike and I decided to bring in Harriet, a.k.a. TobyandRoo and Riona OConnor as guests for this episode, they are also known for being really vocal on shitty diet culture and body positivity. We also played a game of Diet Bingo, nobody won but we had some fun with it. Enjoy!!
In this week's episode we chatted to Mandu Reid leader of the @womensequalityparty. We talked about how the party is tackling all the important issues (violence against women, pay gap, childcare etc) and not just on International Women's Day, but all year round. Why other political parties don't have 'women's rights' at the top of their agenda, and why WEP’s work is so important and needed. We were so inspired by her words about feminism, why it's not a hostile word, why the party is also for men and why they should get behind their agenda, and how she deals with resistance from women themselves. This is something I've struggled a lot with myself, especially recently with my video about Sarah Everard and my latest video on sexism, and it was so interesting to hear her talk about how internalized misogyny and living in a patriarchal society as women, but also how compassion helps her navigate through all of that. Finally, we talked about a new type of politics, different from the known stereotype, more genuine and why it's time for a change. In short, it was one of the most interesting interviews we've had and I hope you take the time to listen! For those of you who are in London, as you know the elections are coming up, I urge you to consider giving your vote (in the orange ballot) to WEP if gender equality matters to you. @itsmikeleigh joined the party straight after the show and is now a proud member which gave me so much joy and hopefully serves as an example to other men that women's rights are human rights and should be in everyone's interest, not just women. #podcast #WEP #women
Kids can argue over the most ridiculous things, if you have kids then you know exactly what I am talking about. I recently posted a story about my girls fighting. It was 8 o clock in the morning and they were shouting at each other and really getting into it over such mundane shit. So many people DM’ed me on the back of that post, telling me about the ridiculous nonsense that their kids argue about and we knew that we had to do an episode on this topic. The most popular responses were very important issues like— shower order, who gets to open the front door, where each kid sits in the car and who gets to press the elevator button. Very important issues right???! Well have a listen, we got some amazing stories in and it is truly hilarious.
In this week’s episode we chat to the lovely Natalie Miller, a.k.a @StyleMeSunday. This was a hilarious interview, we haven’t laughed this much in a long time. We kicked off with a game of ‘Two Truths & a Lie’ and Mike learnt something new about me, which I think is impressive since we have been together for over a decade. We chatted about Nat’s previous career, her mission, the ‘Friday Fingers’ and her project; Manifest that Shit, which she is doing with Cherry Healey. You really need to listen to this one, it was so so good.
This month of interviews has been incredible, the stories that have been shared with us are just so inspiring and another reminder of how amazing, strong and resilient women are. In this week’s episode we chat to Professional Female Footballer, Ash Neville. Ash is the Full-back for Tottenham Hotspur but what you probably don’t know is that she actually started her career as a Primary School Teacher. Ash didn’t let anything get in her way, she persevered and made her dream of being a Professional Footballer come true. Mike is a massive fan so this interview was the highlight of the year for him. We are still celebrating awesome women this month in Till Death Do Us Pod and this week we chat to music industry legend, Monique Blake. I first met Monique when we both spoke on a panel for Moms That Rave, I loved what she had to say and knew that I needed to have her on the show ‘one day’ and this week is that ‘one day’. I would describe Monique as a music mogul, she has been in the music industry for over 15 years and has played an integral role in shaping the careers of some of the world’s biggest musicians and high net-worth individuals. The thing that makes her story so amazing is that she started out as a Receptionist at a record label. We chatted about what it is like working in such a male-dominated industry and how not to talk yourself out of the room that you worked so hard to get into. She had a lot to say and was so interesting to chat to. Do you have a story about conquering a career in a male-dominated space? Tell us in the comments. As part of our Women’s Month theme we interviewed acclaimed indie adult filmmaker, Erika Lust. Erika created the kind of beautiful cinematic adult content that you probably aren’t used to seeing. We spoke to her about ethical porn, her interview process with potential performers, what it is like on a set, how young people are using porn as sex education and her XConfessions project. It was a wildly interesting interview, Erika is working hard to drive much needed change in the porn industry and I tell you what…she is achieving it! It was estimated in 2020 that the porn industry is worth over $97 billion, this kind of information is available on Google but what you wouldn’t know is that approximately 80% of the industry is owned by one company and there is so little content regulation in place. One of the things I got from the chat was that we as consumers need to take more responsibility – like the free porn sites, how can it be free when there were content producers and performers involved? We need to start doing our own due diligence, ensuring that we are supporting content where we know the performers are being taken care of. Anyway, I hope you find this episode as fascinating as Mike and I did. This episode is sponsored by BABE - a delicious wine in a can! This week in Till Death Do Us Pod we kicked off International Women's Day MONTH (we are basically doing a whole month about extraordinary women from different works of life and industries) with the incredible Jacqueline Gold, CEO of Ann Summers. Her story is so inspiring, from how she started off in the business, the challenges she had to overcome being a female in a male dominated industry and how her journey has impacted her as a mother. I can't even tell you how excited I was talking to her and how lovely she was. She does so much to promote women in leadership and empower a new generation of female CEOs, she is honestly the definition of 'girl power'. Funny how her chain is mentioned in my book (didn't get a chance to even tell her this story because I was too excited) - and was one of the first places I went to when I had my sexual awakening in my 40's. I hope you loved this episode as much as we did! More amazing women to come in the next few weeks... if you haven't subscribed to the pod yet make sure you do it now so you don't miss anything. This week we interviewed the lovely Melissa Lucarelli from season 6 of Married At First Sight Australia! As you know, I was not a big fan of this series when it first aired, but Mike and I carried on watching and Mel soon became our favorite contestant with her realness, big persona and infectious laugh. In this episode we asked her everything you want to know - is the show scripted? Were the weddings real? Were the flats sets or people's actual homes and so much more. We also talked about her "role" in the show and how the women were portrayed compared to the men. For me personally this was a major issue I had with the show - the women were portrayed as over the top, manic, and unstable, whereas the men were portrayed as poor little victims. It was interesting to hear her thoughts on this as someone who was part of the experiment itself. I also think that not many people who do reality TV come out on the other side as well as Mel did. Not only did her true colors shine through on screen, it was nice to see she has stayed down to earth despite the fame surrounding the show. Little warning though - lots of spoilers in the episode, so if you're watching and you're behind, or if you've only just started watching the show please bear that in mind! Please make sure you leave us a review and make sure you subscribe so you don't miss anything! This episode is sponsored by www.PenrhosSpirits.co.uk
Life in lockdown doesn’t have to be dreary, I have started planning some activities so that we have some things to look forward to in our house. It has seriously changed how I feel about everything so be sure to listen to the full episode to hear what I have planned. We have also been learning about Chinese New Year in homeschooling, well, when I say ‘we’, I mean ‘Mike’. It is quite interesting so we decided to talk to an expert to find out more; we chatted to Karen Wang from the Confucius Institute and it was all quite enlightening.
In this week’s episode we hooked up with Australian Comedian, Christian Hull, to talk about Dating Disasters – our unique take on a Valentine’s Special. And because Christian is Australian we had to kick off with a chat about Married At First Sight for a bit of local scoop! So back to Dating Disasters, we revealed some of our own experiences – which are hilarious – as well as a few that you guys sent in. Have a listen and tell me more of your dating disasters, there are so many fantastically ridiculous stories out there.
In this episode we are diving into the 2021 Sex Trends. Yes, people are still having sex. With the coronavirus pandemic raging on, life as we know it has changed drastically. The lockdown crisis has caused a number of challenges for people, especially when it comes to dating, relationships and sex. So seriously, who better to talk to than Dr Jess, the renowned Sexologist and Relationship Expert. Dr Jess offers loads of fun online courses too, go to www.sexwithdrjess.com to have a look at what she offers.
So Mike and I have been participating in Dry January, this decision was made before the UK went into lockdown and homeschooling became a terrifying reality (again!!! Thanks 2021). It has admittedly been harder than we anticipated but we can both feel the difference and it’s a good one. We did find two fab non-alcoholic solutions and in this episode we chat to spokespeople from both companies and we did a live tasting too. You want to know more right? Sarah from Sea Arch Drinks tells us more about their non-alcoholic gin and then we spoke to Dash from Three Spirit Drinks – these are very interesting plant-based concoctions which provide an actual buzz. Enjoy!
Every year people set New Year’s Resolutions, often they are completely unrealistic and forgotten about by the time February rolls in. So in this week’s episode of Till Death Do Us Pod we are looking at Lazy New Year’s Resolutions. We are not going to try to learn 25 different languages, 15 new job skills, and eliminate 5 bad habits, we are not superheroes. We have found two easy solutions to help you lose weight and look younger. We spoke to Johannes from Clearlight Saunas about the Infrared sauna that can help you lose weight, couldn’t be lazier right?? And then we spoke to Danielle Collins about a simple face yoga routine which will make your skin smoother and firmer.
Christmas is one of the jolliest times of the year, and even though it may look different this year, we can still have fun and have a laugh. In Our 2020 Christmas Special we have a look at some fab (maybe silly) gifts, ridiculous one-liners, the best movies to watch and the 2020 Christmas songs. Whatever you are planning for this festive season, we hope that you have an amazingly happy time with your loved ones x Much love, Tova and Mike
2020 has been like one big story after another and then the corona virus and lockdown hit. It has been so all-consuming that it is like nothing happened this year other than day drinking, homeschooling and eating our feelings…which is a more tactful way of saying ‘getting fat’. This has been dubbed a ‘CoronaCoaster’ of a year! So here we are looking at all the different things that happened in 2020, including our favourite movies and programmes for the year.
2020 has been a struggle, a bit shite really. The feelings of uncertainty are impacting our general mental health and happiness. I spoke about how I have been feeling so down and lots of you sent me DM’s to say that you are also struggling so we have decided to dedicate an episode to the topic of Happiness; what can we to that will make life feel better, what can we implement today to lift our mood, is self-care really that important? We answer all of this and more in our interview with The Happiness Guy, Gordon McCrorie. The topic is more serious than our normal podcasts but we felt that it is an important one to dedicate some time to.
We have another great interview for you! This week we speak to CEO, wife, mother, liberator and feminist, Emma Sayle. Emma is most well known for being one of the UK's leading 'sex entrepreneurs' as she made her name launching the female empowerment brand, Killing Kittens. Believing that female empowerment goes from the Bedroom to the Boardroom, Emma is CEO of KK Group which comprises of Killing Kittens (exclusive parties, where people can explore their sexuality in a daring yet safe and controlled way), SafeDate (An app to help protect online daters), The Sisterhood (A philanthropic division that raises money for female charities through extreme sports and challenges) and the newly launched SISTR (online networking platform for women in business).
Parenting is a challenge, keeping your kids alive, fed and entertained while maintaining your sanity is a tough job. We have put together a list of some amazing parenting hacks and tips, we seriously wish that we had known about some of these years ago when our girls were still little. We also interviewed Renee from The Mom Room Podcast about TikTok, parenting, trolls and being a stay at home mom with a Phd.

We can all agree that 2020 has been a weird year and you probably think that this has been the strangest time of your life. Whilst we agree with you on that, we also wanted to dig up some throwbacks, some of the ridiculous challenges and trends from the past decade. So 2020 might have been a really weird one but there actually have been some crazy, silly and odd things from the past that can make us feel better about this year.
In this week's episode of Till Death Do Us Pod we interviewed the lovely and hilarious Georgina Horne, a.k.a George or FullerBust FullerFigure. George describes herself as a "UK dress-loving, plus sized, big boobed, lingerie obsessed, bra fitting enthusiast who hates body snark". We chatted to her about being a blogger, body image, confidence and social media trolls. you guys are often asking me about confidence and how to feel more confident so this would be a great one for you to listen to.
When you are in a relationship, it is a given that you are going to fight. Some people fight over the funniest things like whose sofa is whose or stealing each other's chocolates and left overs. There are the more serious things we fight about like sex, money and kids - and some of these arguments happen in your head and the other person isn't even aware of it all. There are also some hilarious things that we bitch at each other about; which way is the right way to put on a toilet roll? Is it acceptable to put pineapple on pizza? Who gets to control the TV remote?
If you are a women then menopause is a fact or life, generally preceded by perimenopause. Bleh. Things in your body start to change from hot flushes to general crankiness and fatigue. It is such a big part of being a woman but we don't talk about it enough, the only symptom that gets any talk time are the hot flushes but there is so much more you need to know and be prepared for. In this episode we talk to Dr. Philippa Kaye about the medical side of it all and then we also chatted tp Kaye Adams on the launch of her menopause-inspired book, Still Hot.
What is middle age? Some say it is that stage between 45-65 years of age, others think it is when you start forgetting people's names, forgetting why you walked into a room and start developing new-found enthusiasm for garden centres and the idea of a cruise. I'm turning 45 and I am sure that Mike has been middle aged for at least 30 years, so here we are checking all the 'symptoms' of middle age to make sure we definitely qualify.
Mike and I have recently started working together! I shared this news on Instagram and received loads of hilarious, and horrified, responses from everyone so we thought we would do a podcast about this topic since there are so many other couples who are in the same situation as us - or have been in the past. We have researched tips on how to run a business together without getting divorced, going broke or killing each other.
So today's episode is sponsored by DigestLive so we thought it would be fitting to have food-themed content. We have looked at some of the world's most expensive meals as well as some of the strangest delicacies. If you have ever wondered how much the world's most expensive burger costs or wanted to know more about Sardinia's maggot cheese then this episode is for you!

The Urban Dictionary states that "Dating is where two people that are attracted to each other spend time together to see if they can also stand to be around each other most of the time". Dating has changed a lot over the decades, was it simpler in a less-tech world where we just met people on a night out or at work? The dating scene seems to require the preparation and commitment normally reserved for a job interview, in this episode we take you through a list of 2020 Dating Tips, enjoy!

From the penis-themed festival in Japan to an underwater music festival in the US, they are a tribute to the art of taking something quite mundane and turning it into something brilliantly bizarre.

So we decided to look at suggested diet plans and whether or not we should Shape Up or just invest in Shapewear.

The criminal death of George Floyd has sparked an outcry on social media, and people have taken to the streets in many parts of the world, to protest against systematic racism. In our discussion we touch on the #BlackLivesMatter movement, white privilege and how the media systematically drives an anti-black narrative. How can we be different? Well, let's start talking about racial issues and racial disparity more often, let's educate ourselves and our children. We know that systematic racism is immoral and it is our collective responsibility to be better and do better.
