#132: Seattle editorial cartoonist David Horsey's baby boomer centrism has long been the subject of ridicule. He's published a novel, which makes him fair game for podcasts that review ridiculous books.

"Si vas a trabajar, trabaja; si vas a jugar, juega.

A Journey from Battlefield to Breakthrough with Eric John HorseyOn this Memorial Day, we share a remarkable story of resilience and redemption. Eric John Horsey was raised on a dairy farm in South Carolina, where early lessons in hard work and determination shaped his path. That path led him into military service as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, where he witnessed firsthand the harsh realities of war.But Eric's battles didn't end when he came home. He faced personal struggles with addiction and hopelessness—an internal war that nearly broke him. And yet, it didn't.Eric found his way through the darkness with faith, healing, and a renewed sense of purpose. Now, he's using music as his voice, and his debut album, Dirty Road, is a raw, honest reflection of his journey. It was an honor to sit down with my veteran brother, Eric John Horsey.
