    48. How to use social media to GROW your business

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 20, 2023 26:42

Social media is just another type of marketing that focuses directly on your audience online! Focusing on WHO your audience is. Depending on the type of business you have whether it be a local business, or maybe you sell a physical product or you sell a service, or even sell digital products. You have to first get into the minds of your consumers. They will tell yo to want they want, but you have to first find out what they NEED. Maybe they are a local coffee shop, and they think they want more followers on Instagram and virality on TikTok but what they really need is more people coming to their coffee shop and sharing about it. That completely shifts the focus as to who and how you are marketing. Instead of posting 10 more times each week, maybe they need to host an in-person event or get a local influencer or photographer to take photos in the coffee shop and market it to their audience. If you are an online business owner, you need to understand and ask WHERE is our audience online. Where are your buyers shopping, and what are they attracted to online? Both of these businesses (one a physical business and one an online business) they both need the same things. More leads, more traffic, and more strategic marketing.  Bring VALUE to them without them having to pay you for it. I'm going to stick with my two examples from earlier. The coffee shop and the online business owner, let's even say she's a business coach. You might ask, how can a coffee shop bring value without a customer paying them? This could look like a coffee shop showing how they make their “drink of the month” or teaching practical coffee tips online. Heck, even hosting an in-person event to teach something fun about coffee making! (not going to lie, i would totally go to this lol). Because you know what coffee lovers love even more than coffee? Fun, energetic, involved coffee shops. We love the experience. Give your audience the experience online first and they will be running over to your local shop faster than you can say “ can i have a caramel macchiato”. For the online business coach or business owner, this looks like sharing what you KNOW. You don't have to share every part of your step-by-step process but give them an easy valuable how-to. Something they can implement today. Maybe you're a business coach and you could create a graphic about “3 steps to starting your business in 2023” You want to give them something they can do today or in the next week and get results. Once they get results from your simple methods, they going to be asking you “soooo do you have any openings right now”. Trust me! I've been on both the side of the business owner and consumer. I know exactly the type of person I want to buy from and it's ALWAYS someone that I see is 1) bringing me value before I even buy from them and 2) Showing up as an expert in their field. Direct them from your social media to your email list. You can do this by creating a freebie that gives them the value and information they need to get started in whatever step-by-step guide you could create.    Social media isn't the end-all be all BUT it's a valuable resource that you should be using to your advantage!    The reasons I just stated is why I fell in love with all of the possibilities social media can bring to business owners and entrepreneurs. Leveraging social media to your benefit can make all the difference!    I have truly found a passion in helping others learn to leverage and market their businesses online through social media and if you are interested in learning about what it would look like to learn with me, go to bit.ly/socialserviceguide.   Follow Tessah: Instagram @tessahjoann @shejustgotrealpodcast

It just means we walk in obedient faith instead of in self-reliance. We CHOOSE to trust that God who knows the beginning, middle and end knows BEST for us. So many people let their past control who they are in the present and even who they want to become in the future. The enemy will do everything he can to make you believe you aren't able to do XYZ because of your past. He will remind you of everyone who told you that you were a failure and mess up. God, however, will tell you a different story. Romans 8:1 “Therefore there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Listen, friend, Jesus died for OUR sins while we were still sinners. He has seen our past, he sees our present and guess what, he can see our future. He knew we would make mistakes. He loves us anyway. He chooses us in knowing everything about who we are (the good, the bad, the ugly). But you know what, God is so good. He sees who we can be with Jesus. I say all of this to remind you that you are not a lost cause. Your past doesn't have to define you. No matter what you have done (publicly or privately). God can use it for GOOD. Let's get real! Dating can be super frustrating, right? Especially in the online and social media world we live in. So many of my friends who are single and looking to date always struggle to really find someone worthwhile. It seems as though the intentionality behind dating has been thrown completely out the window. Our generation wants something that is easy, quick, and comfortable. We want everything to come easy and the moment it gets hard we are packing up and out the door before something gets “too hard” for us to handle. How valuable is a potential relationship to you? If you are just dating for “fun” you might not care to bring intentionality into that relationship, but don't expect that relationship to be life-giving or beneficial to you in the long run. The relationships that truly last are the ones that you put work into. It takes WORK on top of a hundred other things. Dating today is hard. That is exactly why I recorded this episode. 33. Dating: The Good, the Bad, The Red Flags Part 3

Play Episode Listen Later May 26, 2022 24:27

What is a red flag? Google says usually a warning of Danger For this generation, it is almost always used in reference to bad quality or an alarming character/personality trait or action that a person is doing. God's word tells us to Guard our hearts: Proverbs 4:23: Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Ephesians 5:6-10 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. There is no denying that we are to guard our hearts and also be discerning when it comes to life but also our relationships. In this podcast episode Part 3 of the Dating: the good, the bad, the red flags. I'm going to go over the red flags you need to look for when dating/pursuing a relationship! Let me be clear - sometimes when you are pursuing a relationship and dating someone you are really interested in - sometimes you miss the red flags bc you desperately want the relationship to work. 2 The red flags you ignore in the beginning are usually the same ones that end the relationship. The person you are interested in does not mix well with your family or friends. the make you compromise your values They make you feel guilty for doing things with your family and friends instead of them. And try to isolate you to where you only hang out and focus on them. They do not take responsibility but place blame elsewhere. You guys are not on the same page with it comes to your relationship with God. They constantly tear down others just to make themselves look better. No matter what you do or say, they are always unhappy and frusterated about something. They dismiss your boundaries and try to make excuses to cross them. Green Flags: They respect your boundaries and encourage you to pursue your relationship with Jesus They put forth effort and respect towards your parents and friends. They support you by pushing you towards your goals and dreams They are their own individual person and are not co-dependent on you. Their words match their actions They admit when they are wrong or have done something wrong or have hurt your feelings and apologize. Open to honest conversation. Listen no one is perfect but that doesn't mean you should continue to ignore red flags that you know deep down are red flags. If you find yourself constantly making excuses for the rude or immature behavior of the person you are dating or interested in… really reflect on if the relationship you are in is good for you? I hope Part 2 of this series gives you some helpful tips and advice on learning how to ask the hard questions on the front end of the relationships you are pursuing. You don't have an end goal, so there will likely be more confusion as to what the relationship is moving towards If you aren't intentionally dating and you have not had open conversations about the future with each other, you might end up falling in love with someone that doesn't see a future with you Even if you are just in the “talking” stages or getting to know each other, it's a good practice to open up about your intentions and ask the person their intentions. The more you communicate upfront about your intentions in talking/ going on dates - the more likely to avoid heartbreak and disappointment Questions to ask: Ask yourself why do I want to date this person? Do they have godly characteristics I want in a future spouse? Are they genuine? Are they going to church or being a “good person” just for you or are they following Jesus Separate from you?
