Render leads Jhank, Arty, and Swift Current in an epic battle against cyclops cousins Harpalos and Palados, who have finally decided to rid the world of the deceitful guests under Harpalos' house. Palados throws a couple of giant ticks into the mix, Jhank gets big, Arty and Swift move all over the map, and Render mostly shoots from afar until Harpalos closes to him and starts wailing on him. Eventually the adventurers turn the tide and destroy the cyclops cousins, taking Harpalos' home and several magical items as loot! They decide to explore a nearby hex and encounter a strange abandoned mine with a bizarre inhabitant known as Moon Crab who controls a magical machine called the Cimmerian Device. They help Moon Crab back to his home in Hidden Lake and check on the dwarves there, who seem to have gotten even stranger since anyone spoke to them.

The Gold Rush of the 1800s is inextricably tied to USA history. Mining towns popped up wherever precious metals could be extracted, with many of these towns and mines now lying abandoned as ghostly reminders of the old wild west. Abandoned mine land poses a threat to environmental and human health, and methods to rehabilitate this land has gathered much interest over the past few years. Dr Carlos Rodriguez-Franco and Dr Deborah Page-Dumroese from the US Department of Agriculture have been evaluating the use of biochar as a sustainable method to remediate abandoned mine lands.

Frank Howard from Howard Concrete Pumping, knows a thing or two about abandoned mine land reclamation.Their company has completed more mine reclamation projects than our competitors combined in the regions we serve.  Howard has completed nearly 30,000 injection holes for over 2,000,000 feet of drilling and 1,100,00 cubic yards of grout in the past ten years.  Abandoned Mine Land reclamation (AML), serves an important part in restoring the environment in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. Ah words can't describe how much I love these two. I met Marshall when he was the director of the Utah Film Commission. He visited the set of Abandoned Mine. There, in those dark corridors of a mine, we found a budding friendship that brought so much light in such a dark period of my life, physically speaking of course. And sweet Michelle was my publicist while working on the project. These two have been such a force for good in the film industry here in UT. Seriously all that know them speak high praises. Learn what makes Alabama unique, the positive impacts in safety, and how the landscape is being improved.

Dustin Morin is a Land Reclamation Inspector for the Alabama Department of Labor, Abandoned Mine Land Program. Before he began a career in public service he worked as an environmental consultant to the U.S. EPA which provided him a strong scientific background and technical skill set. He is passionate about environmental and conservation issues and uses his experience to accomplish the goals of the Abandoned Mine Land program and restore land and water resources impacted by coal mining to a more natural condition.
