That's what Afrofuturism does.… Afrofuturism is a cultural aesthetic that explores the intersection of African culture with science fiction, technology and the future - fusing magical realism with the beauty of Africa, beyond the clichés. The term was originally coined by Mark Dery (an American journalist working for The Washington Post & Rolling Stone). From the start, Afrofuturism was a child of music, born in the ‘60's in the boundless mind of Sun Ra, and it still shines in today's music of American artists such as Janelle Monae. Nowadays, Afrofuturism is flourishing in Europe and in Africa, constantly revitalized by artists who offer new perspectives to expand our idea of Africa. In this episode, we explore this boundless inner space and George Collinet is trans-connected to a futuristic nebula through a patchwork of stories, soundscapes, and various avant-garde music productions from the cosmos and elsewhere. Que sont devenus Jonel Dilhomme et Anachcar Destin, étudiants haïtiens au Sénégal après le tremblement de terre de 2010 ?Souvenez-vous, le 12 janvier 2010, Haïti a été frappé par un violent tremblement de terre « Goudougoudou ». Port-au-Prince, la capitale a été dévastée. Le séisme a fait plus de 200 000 morts et des centaines de milliers de déplacés. Une véritable catastrophe tant sur le plan humain que matériel. Les écoles et des universités sont restées très longtemps fermées. Il y a eu un élan de solidarité envers des étudiants haïtiens, certains ont reçu des bourses pour poursuivre des études dans des pays africains, comme le Sénégal. Jonel Dilhmome (Port-au-Prince) et Anachcar Destin (Paris) faisaient partie de ces étudiants. Que sont-ils devenus ? Nos invités reviennent sur leur séjour en terre africaine. Ils se souviennent de l’accueil du Club RFI de Saint-Louis, et donnent leur avis sur la situation du pays, 10 ans après le séisme.
